Edit: I love their sushi but I cannot believe today they refused to give me soy sauce with my purchase, they didn't even offer to sell it as an extra.

The sushi is good and it's located in a convenient location, just right into avenue Mont royal.

The BEST Onigiri ever, always bring my friends here it's life-changing + a great asian food boutique.

Classic joint of the Plateau. It’s not an eat-in place, it is a dépanneur with a great selection of foodstuffs for
ppl who need dépannage for their Asian recipes or to satisfy a craving for Asian snacks.
The sushi is fresh, tasty and well-made. Service is prompt (45 min to make an order for 11 people!) and portions reasonable. For all these reasons, this is why it’s been serving sushi to the Plateau for about 20 years. Bravo!

Best place for affordable and good quality sushi basics in the Plateau. The store has lots of Asian ingredients and snacks (Gluten-free Panko, Glico Japanese curry cubes, etc.). They are a little pricier, but given there are no other Asian markets nearby it is not unreasonable.

As with any affordable sushi place, stick with the basics (avocado, california rolls, salmon). Their avocado rolls and salmon avocado rolls are one of the best. Be smart and order at the counter so you get fresh sushi: refrigerated sushi isn't the best anywhere you go. Not to mention, any affordable sushi restaurant won't have the best tuna because Montreal is not a coastal city.

I went to this grocery store in order to do some Christmas shopping for my family, without knowing that I was going to pass by death. Do not buy any candy to make yourself or you will surely regret it. I put 5 stars because the grocery store is too beautiful and the saleswomen are too nice but the candy is to be avoided, I will finish this comment with a quote from a great lady “My epilepsy is no challenge to this trash candy”

The best take out sushi place in the city. I moved further away and I still walk through snow, through rain to get their stuff. Try their fried sushi, they use good oil or try literally any roll they are all fantastic.

This place really is a sushi depanneur. The sushi itself is very food and extremely fairly priced. I love unagi and their eel rolls her are simple and always fresh. They also have amazing Japanese products, such as excellent frozen dumplings, Calbee potato chips, milk tea, miso, and the like. They’re always friendly and welcoming.

I like this place. I will say that it's a bit expensive and a lot of the combos skew a bit small. I am not one for giant portions, but it is a bit frustrating when your takeout lunch is about $25 all in and your first thought after eating it is "I could eat two of those combos and not be full.maybe three". Quality is pretty good though, and that is a rare thing for sushi places in Montreal.

A défaut d'aller au Millenium sur la rive sud, faire un tour sur le Plateau au Dépanneur Sushi nous faut tout autant voyager en Asie!

I don't actually buy sushi here, they have a nice selection of imported snacks that you don't really find anywhere else too.

I was looking forward to trying their sushi Tokyo, cause they looked so fresh and flavourful on their customers’ pictures. I didn’t expect anything amazing, but this was just terrible. Both my boyfriend and I ordered different sushi types and they were all bland, dry and flavourless. The tuna wasn’t the bright red that I expected in the pictures, it was almost a colourless light brown/pink… same for much of the other fish.

The snack options are good, prices are decent for those. As for the sushi, not worth the price. About the same as a restaurant which I’d rather go to.

Bets sushi in the Plateau. At the store you can find all sorts of japanese ingredients and ready to go sushi. Attention is very good and the combinations they offer are well balanced. Love the place!

Personnel peu aimable. Fort déçu des sushis commandés avec un morceau de saumon pas frais. Le payement via interac est également peu pratique mais ça, ce n'est pas si grave. Le seul point positif selon moi reste le magasin.

Super sushis.par contre leur mode de paiement par virement interac est peu pénible. Vous devriez prendre Skip ou doordash.moins compliqué pour vos commandes

I haven’t had the sushi yet, but I love the fact that it’s basically a Japanese corner store! They have so much Japanese food, snacks and drinks, its amazing.

There are higher class sushi places in Montreal, but in terms of value for money and consistently great sushi, Sushi Dep has been our go-to when we're having a night in. Excellent, highly recommended.

The sushi is pretty good. I've had better and I've had worst. We felt like sushi for mothers day and since we are only 2 adult and one young kid, we ordered 56 pieces platter that said its good for 4-5 people. It was 62$ (tax included). The delivery guy came pretty fast. The platter was a lot smaller than I thought. Some pieces were OK sized (futomaki) and some were a lot smaller than usual. When we finished the platter, I had to go and finish the leftover supper from the night before. I really don't know in what world this meal will satisfy 4-5 people. I will never order from this place again.

Sans doute mon restaurant de sushi favoris à vie! Tout y est frais et les prix sont plus que généreux! De plus, on peut y retrouver une variété de snacks japonais et une petite section épiceries pour acheter tout le nécessaire pour faire des sushis maison! Je recommande fortement cet endroit (et leur sauce sésame est un vrai délice!)

C’est sûr qu’on reviendrait! Habituellement, nous allons toujours au Tri express, pour faire changement, nous sommes aller au sushi dépanneur. Nous prenons toujours les sushis à emporter, mais vu que nous sommes aller le jour de la Saint-Valentin, le restaurant était bourré de commandes donc nous avons attendu au moins 35min. Par contre nous avons adoré les sushis, ils étaient très frais et nous avons aussi pris la pizza Atlantic qui était aussi succulente. La déco du resto était sympathique! Dans des étagères, il y a pleins de produits japonais qu’on retrouve rarement au Québec. En gros, allez dans ce resto une journée tranquille, il risquerait d’avoir moins de commandes. Même si nous avons attendu longtemps, je met quand même 5 étoiles car c’était délicieux!

Been meaning to try this place out for sushi for a while now and I was pretty satisfied. You order by using their takeout menu (it's the same menu) and highlighting the sushi you want (this is great because you can take the menu to go after you eat so when you will want to order you already have a menu, also you can use the menu to re-order when you visit again).

This place has very limited seating but that's because it doubles as a mini grocery store with tons of japanese food, snacks, drinks, etc. It's a super adorable place though and it is worth trying to eat in if you can.

They start you off with a little salad and a tofu miso soup which are both delicious. We waited about 15 more minutes after for our sushi to arrive. You can also grab whichever drink you want from their fridge and they'll add it to your bill.

Ordered the usual rolls that I like (avocado, salmon, sushi pizza) and everything was delicious I just don't think it was remarkable enough to warrant visiting often. Their quality was good but taste-wise some of their basic rolls I can get a AYCE sushi places and it's a better deal. The prices are very fair for what the quantity they give though so if going to an AYCE sushi place isn't possible, this is still good bet.

The price are great. There's just something about the ambiance that I love. I always bring friends there when I'm in the area and everyone loved it.

Even though it is a semi-sitdown restaurant, the staff does wait tables extremely well.

Je passe une commande a 17h en leurs disant que je passerais prendre ma commande a 18h 30. J'arrive à 18h 35, je paie.et la on me dis que ça sera prêt dans la 20 minutes. 0n ce fou un peu de ma gueule ou juste ils comprennent rien.

I mean.don't be fooled by the "dépaneur" in the title. They make amazing sushi. Full of fish, fresh, delicious every single time. Whether it's take out or delivery or eating at their small location, it it always delicious.

J'adore le sushi dépanneur. Il est dans mon top des sushis à Montréal. Les sushis sont toujours très frais. Il y a une grande variété de choix sur le menu.
La partie dépanneur est très intéressante car on y trouve plusieurs types de produits comme des nouilles, des sauces, des croustilles, du thés, des desserts et mêmes certains produits congelés.
En plus, c'est bien joli comme petit resto et sans prétention.

Great and cheap sushis! They also deliver if you're in the plateau/rosemont area. Better than most other place I tried and def better than bigger chains of sushi places.

Seul, en couple ou en amis, la place vaut la peine pour le rapport qualité prix (30$ environ pour tous les sushis sur la photo).

Les places assises ne sont pas les plus confortables, mais c'est bien plus accueillant que ce qu'on s'entendrait d'un endroit qui s'appelle dépanneur.

L'atmosphère est relaxe et amical.
