Sushi Momo Végétalien

Not only was this the best vegan sushi I've ever had, it was the best SUSHI I've ever had. Delicious food engineering: some flavours and items you don't think would go together but they work.

It's pricey but the atmosphere is cozy and intimate, the drinks were great and the staff was excellent. I will be back every time I visit Montreal.

Personnel chaleureux et qui prends soin de bien nous expliquer les choix qui s’offrent à nous.
Agréablement surpris de ces sushis végétariens. Un pur délice en bouche!
Nous n’avons pas regretté nos choix et j’ai pu en apporter à la maison tellement les portions étaient généreuse.

What can I say, this place is really cool. A great concept and executed really well. This isn't just sushi with vegetables such as cucumber or avocado, these are custom made works of art, that are made to taste like something else (such as smoked meat). Each is very distinct but do not expect the taste of sushi. The atmosphere and service were excellent as well.
Overall though, as impressed as I was, it is not something I would eat regularly, it was good, but I would prefer a really good regular sushi place.

Love love the atmosphere. Need to make a reservation. Late night fine dining. Like nothing you've ever had before. Brings you into Japanese culture. It's own category of gourmet food. Pricey for a reason. The food is art. Drinks were so so tasty. Loved the couple's meal we had. Fair price. They explain the food well when they serve it to you. 10/10 if you are open minded to flavor profiles. Tons of options.

My favourite vegan sushi place hands-down, it now surpasses even my old normal sushi spots! Original and flavourful rolls, even with delivery. A bit pricier than normal sushi, but well worth it, especially for those fried gyozas.

La bouffe est tout simplement formidable, qu'on soit vegan ou non! Par contre, attention de ne pas prendre de réservation à une heure tardive. Nous avons réservé à 21h30, avons pu nous asseoir à la table à 21h45 et avons eu seulement 2 minutes pour regarder le menu et faire notre choix, car la cuisine fermait.

The food here was so good! We opted for the tasting menu to try everything and we were blown away by how tasty everything was, especially the Mumbai sushi roll!

Where has this been all my life? Takes the best parts of sushi and gets creative with the flavors. Get the $40 sushi for two — great value and great selection. Pickup was also fast and seamless.

J’ai eu droit à une agréable expérience culinaire en testant le menu découverte (39$+tx). Le menu 4 services était délicieux et généreux. Les saveurs, le concept ainsi que la présentation des plats étaient harmonieux et bien réfléchis. Service également impeccable. Le décor était également charmant. A revisiter, définitivement! Merci!

I came on vacation a couple years ago and glad that they’re still open! My friends ordered the sushi boat combo experience and I were BLOWN away by how the chess understood, conceptualices, and executed using different vegetable textures and flavour combos to create really deliciosos sushi. I couldn’t even tell it was vegetarian, taste just like sushi, if not better. The prices were fairly reasonable as well.

Raffiné, surprenant et délicieux. On sort bluffé et convaincu que les sushis végétaliens n’ont rien à envier aux autres.

Sushi excellent avec une variété étonnante. Ils fondent dans la bouche. Serveuse des plus agréables qui connaissaient tous les ingrédients des sushis. Atmosphère chaleureuse et décor feutré. Tout pour une belle expérience.

My husband and I visited Montreal from Hamilton to celebrate our 1st anniversary and went Sushi Momo for dinner.

Our table was served by a male server with ponytail. He was friendly in the beginning. Suddenly, he turned into an unfriendly person after we paid a bill. He seemed frustrated with the amount of tip we gave to him.

Moreover, he threw candies (which came after we paid the bill) at our table and said emotionless 'good bye' as he was walking away from our table and also didn't even give us an eye contact.

I used to have good memories Sushi Momo and the memories and our anniversary dinner were ruined by the server.

My friend had been raving about this place for a long time, and i thought he found it particularly good because he is vegetarian. I finally tried it yesterday and it was the best sushi in Mtl vegan or not, and some of the best sushi I've ever eaten (though i have not eaten sushi in Japan yet). We got a bunch of different kinds. The three mushroom ones, sweet potato and jalapeno, mango, California, and the Mumbai, and some edamame. They were all amazing but my favorites were the Mumbai, sweet potato/jalapeno, the mango, the California and one of the mushroom ones, which is most of them. But they were really all delicious!
We weren't able to get a reservation because it was fairly last min on a Friday night, and didn't want to wait so just ordered take-out.

Sushi Momo is one of those rare fine-dining places that hits all three targets: quantity, quality, and pricing. The recipes and presentation are original, the staff is friendly. The music is perfect as an ambience, without being overbearing. Highly recommend.

Not just the best vegan sushi I've had. The best sushi I've had, PERIOD. Absolutely fantastic. Each roll was unique and delicious. We were overwhelmed by the choices and the waiter offered to pick a few for us. So glad we took him up on that. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautiful. Can't wait for our next trip to Montreal so we can visit Sushi Momo!

Amazing vegan (vegetarian) sushi restaurant in Montreal! The service was great, the restaurant itself is beautiful and the food is exceptional. My wife and I truly enjoyed the food. I want to highlight the Fuji Flambe and the Pan Fried Gyoza.

Extraordinairement bon! Tout en subtilité, ingrédients de qualité, bon pour la santé en plus! À chaque fois nos invités sont subjugués par les arômes et la beauté de ces petites oeuvres culinaires hautement gustatives! On en mangerait tous les jours!

Nous étions deux. Nous avons pris l'option dégustation: une entré individuelle, une entré à partager, 12 x sushis chaque et dessert a partager. Qualité incroyable, quantité plus que suffisante et service impeccable. Je recommande fortement d'y aller.

Première expérience au Momo sur place hier soir avec mon copain apres deux expériences très très positives en take out!

Très beau décor et belle ambiance feutrée. On se croirait un peu dans un beau restaurant du vieux port, c'est tamise, design, très propice a un tête à tête.

Délicieuse soupe miso, shooter "d'huître" bon mais on ne comprenait pas le rapprochement avec l'huître. Salade de nouilles Soba bonne, mais pas mémorable ni particulière. Les sushis étaient délicieux, j'ai particulièrement aime ceux a base de champignons (pleurotes). Dessert au matcha et framboise avec coulis de yuzu intéressant mais on avait plus beaucoup de place rendus la, les portions étant plutot généreuses.

J'ai adore le rythme du service, on a vraiment pu prendre notre temps et apprécié le repas. Pour info, nous sommes arrivés a 17h45 et nous sommes repartis vers 19h30.

Les drinks et la carte de vins ne m'ont pas particulièrement intéressée. Nous avons pris un drink a la mangue (bon mais assez sucre et épais, feeling de tout inclus.mais bon!) Et un cocktail sans alcool au Sisho (pas sur de l'écriture mais c'est un mix entre de la menthe et du basilic), je m'attendais a un drink très frais mais c'était plutôt sucré aussi.l'eau pétillante accompagnait finalement.beaucoup mieux ce bon repas.

J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir en tête a tête mais je choisirais mes sushis a la carte!

Excellent sushi with lots of selection and waitress who served us was excellent. Made us feel comfortable and very helpful with the menu and showing us how to use the QR code on our phones to get access to the menu.

Sushi Momo is definitely my fav vegan sushi place! I usually go to their takeout counter Komomo, but the real Sushi Momo restaurant is a must-visit too.

I got the "Omakase" set menu which included edamame, oyster mushroom shooter, miso soup, soba mango salad, 6 different types of sushi, and matcha cake. The food is tasty, filling, and beautifully presented. Not cheap but so worth it. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing, unfortunately wasn't able to stay but they packed everything up so nicely, apologies again I wish I could have had the full experience. Still, an obvious 5 stars!

I don't tell people these are the best vegan sushis, I tell them they are the best sushis. And every omnivore I brought to this place agrees. You don't miss fish at all. They are delicately crafted and flavourful.

The miso soup is savoury.

I love that they have a different theme every month for delivery.

Interesting to Try!

It was our first experience to try a full vegan sushi place, and it was very interesting!

We ordered several items including the full formule with soup, appetizers and desserts.
The sushi was very fresh and full of flavour with a very similar texture to
real fish.
The miso soup wasn’t really that great, and the mushroom “oyster” appetizer was very small.

We enjoyed the service, Fatima our waitress was very friendly and the outdoor patio is well set.

I personally would still prefer to go for fish-based sushi but this one is an amazing alternative for anyone who wants to go for a more plant-based option.

Delivery: Impressive blend of ingredients for every creation. I shared many different rolls including kimbap, geisha ebi, gyu, Jack 2.0, geisha poisson d'avril, Mumbai, karaage, 3 champions, and Harumaki. All were delicious.

Delivery #2: got the sannin combo to share. Everything was delicious.

This place should have 5 starts! Hands down. What an amazing dining experience from beginning to end. The food was incredible followed up with remarkably attentive service. It was wonderful watching this uber professional staff work together as a team to make sure dinner went off without a hitch!

We sat at the bar and highly recommend it! I wish I got the bartenders name (who was also our server) because his poise and service deserves it’s own shout out!

Anyways, if you want to have one of the best dining experiences in Montreal head over! We can’t wait to go back.

L'étoile va à l'entrée de crevettes et de calmars. J'ai aimé les calmars sauf la sauce trop salée par dessus. Tous les sushis étaient trop salés et ne se tiennent pas. Nous étions 2 et nous n'avons pas pu finir notre plat. Nous avons notre dose de sodium pour le mois. Sincèrement le prix des sushis ne se justifie pas.

Really awesome sushi place. I was there with my colleagues who are vegan but it doesn't matter whether you are vegan or not because these sushis are just amazing. Very satisfying and absolutely bursting with flavors, for basically the same price as a typical sushi joint. Don't sleep on this place, it really is great.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The restaurant decor is tasteful and classy, the servers were great, and the food was absolutely out of this world. We had the oyster mushroom shooter, the beet tartare, a mix of popular rolls, and the matcha cake. I don’t believe any of it could be better if they tried! Love love love!

Les points négatifs sont le prix (même prix que des sushis au poisson) et les quantités. Nous avons pris le menu à partager, mais pour une table paire nous avons eu des sushis en nombre impairs, ce qui rend le partage difficile quand on est tous de gros gourmands. Idem pour le dessert qui est servi au nombre de 3 parts pour 4 personnes (!?)

Warm cozy vibe, huge selection of awesome vegan sushi (the lobster one was a fav and the maitaki mushroom tempura as an app is too good), and the g&t's were delicious too. This is a nice place for a date or to hang out with friends. Not cheap but the quality is good and the decor is so inviting.

We went on a Wednesday night with reservation, and I'm glad we booked since the restaurant got full way before 7pm. So reservations are recommended. Their sushi taste AMAZING with surprising combination of ingredients and flavours. We've returned to Sushi Momo so many times since our first visit - even brought friends too and they loved it!

Best sushi I have ever eaten. It's the only restaurant that makes me want to eat with my eyes closed to enjoy every single flavor of every bite. The outdoor terrace is lovely and the service is great!

Favorite restaurant ever!

The food was amazing, everything was spot on with the flavours. Great environment and ambiance! However, the waitress that was in charge of our table (blonde hair, short bangs) was too chatty, flirtatious and she would talk about herself a lot and it made us uncomfortable so much so that we left early and took our dessert in a to-go box. She refilled one cup but not the other cup. When she was talking over the table, she would face one person and talk to them only as if the other person on the table didn’t exist. That’s very rude and disrespectful. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of your beautiful restaurant and I have been coming here since your first tiny location and I don’t want to stop visiting you but this kind of service really ruins the whole vibe.

Soooooo good. I wasn't sure what to expect with vegan sushi but I was blown away. We got a dozen or so types of rolls and every single one was a totally unique flavourbomb. Only complaint is the delivery zone is too small!

I was very skeptic of Sushi Momo.

Generally, I think vegan food is the best when it's not pretending to be something else. Being an omnivore with no dietary restrictions who loves sushi, I wasn't sure what to expect.

We ordered the chefs choice omakase. Little starter of a oyster mushroom shooter, soba noodle salad to share, plate of 20pcs to share, and dessert. None of the elements disappointed, no complaints start to finish.

Though I wouldn't say it tasted like a smoked salmon roll or typical dragon eye, the rolls were delicious. Amazing flavours and the textures were perfect. The Mumbai was my least favourite as curry is not a spice I am particularly fond of, but it was still good.

Our waitress was lovely. Overall an awesome experience and I would recommend to vegans and non vegans alike.

When we went there cooling didn't seem to be working so it was too hot and so it was a bad experience. Also it is quite over priced.

Ma fille a pris le California Dream et moi le Sashimi nouveau style (noms des plats de mémoire). Nous avons profité de la terrasse en un beau samedi après-midi ensoleillé.

Très bons. Ma fille, d'âge scolaire, a vraiment aimé son plat et en a demandé un second. J'ai pleinement dégusté mon "sashimi". Préparé pour ressembler au saumon, j'ai trouvé que la texture ressemblait plutôt au thon. La sauce qui l'accompagnait se mariait bien avec les morceaux de pommes et l'oignon mariné.
Plats raffinés et recherche dans les saveurs.
Pas pour tous les portefeuilles surtout si vous avez un gros appétit.
Ça vaut le coût d'essayer pour gâter ses papilles. Nous y retournerons.

Chaque fois ma conjointe (d’origine japonaise!) et moi sommes étonnés de la qualité et et du gout! Que c’est bon!

Svp ramené la salade de papaye au menu.
