Sushi Yu Mi

Fantastic sushi. I tried alot of spots in Montreal but this place is consistently great quality. We usually take the Maki Lovers Deluxe with edamame. 100% Delicious! Support your Local Restaurants and Shops!

A hidden gem in Montreal! Discovered this place a few years ago and since then I’ve never been disappointed. The freshest sushi you can find in Montreal at a very reason Price! The restaurant is owned by a very sweet family. If you want to support a family owned restaurant that serves the best sushi in Montreal, totally need to check this place out.

It was ok. I ordered some old favourites, and it was ok. But taste is a very subjective characteristic, so don't take my word for it, try it out.

I am a regular at this place and the sushi are always nice and fresh, no doubts about that. I find it became more expensive by cutting the portions in half. For the price I am paying I get 4 rolls, not 8 unlike most of the places. But my review is rather about the Tom Yum soup. I can't believe that what I got can be even rometely labeled as a soup. Something not transparent toxic brick color that stained the container, my counter and a toiled bowl where it belonged to begin with. A pieces of SEAWEED (where did that came from in a Tom Yum?), very little Nameko mushrooms and loads of noodles. No kafir, no lemongrass, no galangal, just the taste of a fresh plastic mixed with a cardboard. Wow. This is truly disgusting.

I cannot believe how I was just treated! I've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years and love the sushi! When I went to pick up my order I decided to add an extra avocado roll to it. I waited a few minutes as they prepared it. But when I went to pay I realized I had been charged for two orders of avocado. I clearly stated that that's not what I ordered but the employee (Im pretty suee he's a manager as he is always there) argued with me. In the end he actully TOOK AWAY both orders of avocado and refused to sell me either! I couldn't believe this. This was totally unexpected and unnecessary. During the exchange I stayed calm and was rather shocked that a he would not just take out half the order and charge me the 5 bucks for the one order, or better yet, apologize for his mistake and give me the extra order gratis! I tried to reason with him.he ignored me. I will never return there again. This is not how you treat long time loyal paying customers! I'm appalled!

Great little sushi place in the heart of Westmount. High quality sushi, very pleasant service, not expensive. Try their Maki for 2 Deluxe!

I ordered from ubereats at 5: 50 on january 2 and it was planned to arrive at 6: 50. I was waiting for it and suddenly it shows that it will arrive at 7: 30. I was being patient and i waited again. However, they just cancelled my order at 7: 20. So i waited for 1h30 and got nothing.

We walked in front of this place often but never stop. Finally decided on a pick-up! The Maki Lover choice (26 pieces) was great. Service was simple as it was a pick-up. The reason for losing 1 star was we took a Tum-Yum and Classic Miso soup. The portions are generous for the price, but they lacked flavour. (We had some miso paste in a fridge and fixed that, but still).

We will order sushis again from them, for sure!

The best sushi restaurant I know. I am very picky when it comes to raw fish, but I love sushi. Sushi Yumi is one of the few places I entirely trust for freshness and flavor. I recommend them highly

This place used to be a lot better, but the old chef Ten Ten sold the business and the quality has dropped since. It's just pretty average now and there are definitely better options elsewhere.

Yum, yes, love their sushi. I dont like spicy so I typically order blueberry and tuna, eel and avocado and warm shrimp tuna. The fish is fresh.

One of the best sushi places in Montreal. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during quarantine time. Great presentation and fresh ingredients. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

PLACE TO AVOID after the chef ten ten left the new owner is impolite after telling him that the food is too spicy and the quantity is cheap and less he refused to serve us so pity that chef ten ten sold his business was our Westmount favourite sushi place but no more cheap quality disgusting service from the new owner who is the chef actually too spicy food plastic sushi not eatable the quatity is so little never will be back again to avoid

Wow. This is my hidden secret place in Montreal for Sushi. What to eat? Ask fo the lunch special, take a light, warm, delicate Miso soup and enjoy with a nice company or alone. "Everything" is delicious. Service like no other. Do not forget to have a tea (I love the green tea/Jazmin) My last visit, I was so lucky a special friend invited me and see what we shared. Deluxe lunch special. It was just delicious! Thank you "Yu Mi"!

Le service est infect. Ils disent fermer à 21 h mais nous étions arrivés à 20 h 50 pour une commande à emporter ; rien. Ils ont refusé de nous servir. Dans ce cas, barrez la porte!

We are vegan and they made us 2 different rolls and they were great. Can’t talk about service since it was takeout.

On est allé dîner avec les enfants, ils ont adoré l'assiette de général tao (une assiette pour les 2 était amplement suffisant). Les sushis étaient vraiment excellents. Le personnel très gentil. On a adoré cet endroit, belle petite découverte.

When I ordered my food the cashier told the chef that it was for takeout without even asking. I wanted to eat there so I let them know that so she said "alright, sit down" with a weird attitude. I know I have to sit down in order to eat lady.
