Swatow Plaza

Average mall, I personally love the ambiance of it but that's likely just me. A solid mix of stores, including an imported cosmetic goods shop and a collectibles shop that isn't anything to scoff at.
A good stop if you find yourself in chinatown, but not anything extremely special, and that's okay!

Chinatown business owners ensure that the streets are as safe and clean as possible. Swatow Plaza houses many shops, there may be some flats on uppee floors, and obeys Covid 19 protocols very well.

Barely have anything in here! Wish they have more choice and upstairs is very disappointing it look ghetto!

G & D is my favourite food store.
Good selection, friendly staff and most importantly, sweet music️

Love the Dim Sum in the building. It would be a more pleasure place if the building and surrounding is cleaner.

It's the main road for this Chinatown and it's what I've been used for a long time. Changed a bit with what's on it, but still remain as old as it was.

En décembre 2020, je suis allé visiter une commerce qui loue une place là-bas. Lorsque j'ai eu envie, le vendeur de la commerce m'a dit d'aller utiliser la toilette du bâtiment au 2e. Mais la toilette était barrée, j'ai demandé à un gars semblant la sécurité au RDC, il dit que les toilettes ne sont pas pour les clients. J'ai cherché à nouveau la commerce, le chef a dit: tu peux dire que tu es notre client, ils devraient te laisser entrer. Donc, j'ai cherché à nouveau les 2 gars asiatiques (moi aussi asiatique), , ils ont refusé disant que la commerce n'a pas de droit de décider qui utilise la toilette. J'ai dû donc retenir l'urine jusqu'à ce que je rentre chez moi.tel scandale! Celui qui est nommé centre d'achat ne veut pas offrir les toilettes aux clients de leur clients! Depuis, je n'entre plus ce "centre d'achat"

L'espace non développé à gauche quand on descend la rue St Laurent et à droite en la remontant en char fait vraiment dur.

A lot of oriental products, innovative flavors, however sometimes meat and fish is not as fresh. Good variety of frozen meats though

Deux de mes endroits favoris s'y retrouvent. Au premier plancher, il y a un restaurant où les nouilles sont courues la ville entière. Au sous-sol, un supermarché asiatique offre une assez grande quantité pour un assez bon prix. Vraiment accueillant comme endroit.

Close your eyes at the front door and open them once you walk in and you could sweet you were in Beijing - from the smell of the noodle shop on the first floor (delicious) to the grocery store in the basement and the small stalls scattered across the various levels selling nick-nacks and cheap clothing this place has a totally China feel.

Nous avons pas du tout aimer les gens nous défigurer et pas très accueillant le seul point noir de nos vacance à Montréal.

The plaza is clean and morden.
However, the plaza is a quiet place for someone who wants to enjoy a quiet walk in the mall because a lot stores are not open.

Lieu très achalandé mais il y a de très bons restaurants. Pas beaucoup de stationnement. La fin de semaine c'est l'enfer!

Went there on a Saturday for Dimsum. We sat at the table for 10 minutes, nobody came to see us. We hailed a waiter, asked if there are any dimsum carts going around. He brought us a menu, told us to check our choices, the plates are made to order he says, then left us to do the selection. We looked at the menu, selected our choices, waited another 10 minutes.nobody came. We left. Worse resto experience ever. They seem to have a discrimination towards non-chinese speaking clients.

I love Chinatown. I always take my Eropean visiting friends to pass a day there and they are amazed. They do not have similar. Many things to see: the sweets, the food, the narrow roads. The pagoda, the shows in the plaza. They buy clothes and gadgets a souvenirs and food that we do not know so we can try when we return home.
We go to the shaman to read our hand and tell us our future. We go to the foot massage parlor and then we visit the Beautifull and lovely old Montreal!

Plaza is mostly empty. They need to open more store. Only have quit a few, but thats it. Nothing really interesting.

I purchased a variety of goods, including: locally made candles, espresso mugs, a blanket scarf and earrings. The best place to visit for a wide variety of items, from home to beauty. I’m always asked where I get my earrings and necklaces. Well, this is definitely my little secret place. Love their concept but also their history. Products can be both local and of varied locations.

It's a Chinese tourist attractionand that all kinds of Chinese restaurants and everything is so very nice place to go and have Chinese food and if you have to buy Chinese Brothers retire rice and all that that's

One of our favourite Chinese bakeries in the Montreal Chinatown! Modern, clean, neat, great selection of desserts.

Not much, selling trikets, clothes some Chinese medicine, restaurant upstairs is crowded tables are super stucked dim sum expensive for nothing.

This place always looks like closed, half empty, not attractive at all except for the korean/japanese cosmetics stores & the bubble tea stand.

This area is a great melting pot of many cultural eats/shops. From Vietnamese pho to KBBQ to soup dumplings, the plaza has something for everyone. We have spent the last few days eating lunch/dinners here and have never been disappointed. I recommend Pho Bac 97 and Qing Hua Dumplings. There is also a small Vietnamese Banh Mi shop that churns out great sandwiches. I believe they are cash only.

This is definitely one place to check out during your travels in the area.

J'adore le quartier chinois de Montréal. Les odeurs et saveurs des plats orientaux sont très présent, et avec satisfaction. Allez-y sa vaut la peine.
