Szechuan par Mr Ma

Je vais à ce restaurant depuis maitenant plus de 10 ans et il s’agit d’un de mes restaurants préféré à Montréal. La nourriture est excellente et le service aussi. Le boeuf à l’orange est divin!

Probably the cleanest and best service at a Chinese restaurant I have ever had. My General Tao was a little salty but my wife's fried shrimp and spinach was spot on. Great place!

I can't overstate how good the food was and how friendly the staff and servers were. Small place with a great atmosphere. If I am ever in Montreal again, this will be my first stop for dinner.

First time there from referral of friends, and wow, what a wonderful experience, family owned and loved, they make sure you enjoy experience with exceptional food.
A must for anyone looking for some of the best Szechuan in town!

Stellar service. Above and beyond with conversation and attention to detail. Food was good, wine was amazing.

Fantastic quality food. Atmosphere was relaxed and service was great. I didn't see something I wanted on the menu but they were able to make it for me.

Mr Ma and his family will bring you joy. Superb cuisine. Excellent, quiet, calm, expert service. Very refined attention to detail, even to the restrooms. You will have a lovely experience here.

How this place has gotten positive reviews is beyond me. My family and I ordered take out from this place and the food was horrible! The food was bland. They also did a poor job with sending condiments. Stingy with the soy sauce packets. I am sure there are better Chinese restaurants in Montreal. My advice would be to stay away.

This place is absolutely amazing. The lady managing the floor (presumably the owner) was extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting the dishes. Everything is delicious and great quality. That said, don't come here expecting Chinatown pricing. I would say this is a high quality, fair priced establishment. Will come back - they have a second floor which I believe was empty - thinking of organizing a staff event there.

Loved this place. Foods are gorgeous and the people are very nice. Hope I can come back soon again.

We had such a strange experience. When we ordered the drinks and food (2 appetizers and one main to share) we were told we didn't order enough and they would charge a minimum of $35 p.p. Huh? We were so confused, nowhere does it state such a thing. She then told us she will lower to $30 p.p. Lol. Although the service was lacking (nobody came by and asked if we wanted more drinks for ex), the food was ok. The food especially main dishes are definitely overpriced for what you get.

From LA, and I have NEVER had Chinese food like this.and trust me when I tell you that I go to amazing spots in LA. Get the chicken dumplings (to die for), the general Tao chicken, and the crispy sesame shrimp. I also recommend the special Chinese fried rice. The whole experience was amazing and the owner is SO sweet and makes you feel at home.

Nous y avons mangé en couple et ce fut une très bonne expérience. Une ambiance feutrée et agréable.
Les plats sont succulents et le service est super et très accueillant. On y reviendra avec plaisir.

Ambiance feutrée (on s'entend parler!), service impeccable et nourriture succulente: c'était un plaisir de retrouver la qualité de Mr Ma, qui était à place Ville-Marie autrefois.

Un brin huppé, fréquenté par des gens dans la cinquantaine au moins.

Entrées bon marché (la soupe aigre-piquante, 6$ environ, miam!) mets principaux plus dispendieux (35$ pour 8 méga crevettes avec quelques légumes), mais dans l'ensemble, bien correct.

Ah, et la salade de canard (légèrement) épicé en entrée (23$), un vrai régal pour les papilles et les yeux!

Unarguably the best Chinese out of GTA, came for a conference to Montreal, searched from some Chinese cuisine and came out this gem. The owner (Mrs Ma) is there to greet you and take you thru the menu.

Very pleasant and guides thru the best options after asking about dietary options. Service is excellent, was immediately welcomed upon arrival and seated

Tried the Spring Roll, Hot & Sour Soup, Spicy Shrimps with steamed rice …. And boy everything was delicious

Definitely a must visit place during the next trip with family

La soupe aigre et piquante est excellente. Les papilles gustatives de certains sont défectueuses.
Ça fait au moins 30 ans et plus que je fréquente ce resto et tout est excellent. En plus le service est toujours rapide te courtois!

Absolutely the BEST Asian food I have had in years. My sister's and I visited while in Montreal and would definitely go back. I am VERY particular about my food and this place rates 10 stars with me. The owners were attentive and kind. I just can't say enough about this restaurant! Just go and try it.

Excellent Szechuan food. My favorite Szechuan restaurant is Panda Gourmet in DC and I'm always looking for a restaurant that comes close to that one. This is the first place that I've found in all my travels that is as good. Will definitely return the next time I'm in Montreal.
