I love the food there, but as son as youre done eating theyre bring you the bill like if the are kicking you out, definitely don’t enjoy that at all.

Not worth your time, the place itself is cute, authentic but the food? Not fresh at all and very skimpy on the shrimp taco, fish, taco, chicken taco. Too bad, I really wanted to like this place as we just recently moved to the neighborhood. It's a big thumbs down

Everything I've had is delicious, but my favorite is the shrimp quesadillas. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and colorful.

L'entrée n'est pas accessible au personne en fauteuil roulant. Et il est difficile de trouver du stationnement selon l'heure qu'on y va.

If it's on the menu - it's good. Tacos Frida knows what they're doing and consistently lays down some incredible stuff.

On our great journey across Canada, we swung by Tacos Frida for dinner. When you walk in, you're greeted by friendly staff, a bustling venue, and murals of the celebrated titular Frida Kahlo. KEY PLAY - Two types of hot sauces (INCREDIBLE) at each table.

Fast service, a fine tuned and varied menu, great drinks and an awesome vibe. ZOO-WEE-MAMA, the food was amazing.

Food was decent to say the least, the thing was that we were given a beeping gadget that beeped when it was your turn, we waited over an 1 hour, before being seated especially after being told it would take 20 minutes and we waited and waited.went to see them 3 times to be told same thing, started to feel very neglected from the staff, we were 5 ppl and we saw people after people getting inside with and without the gadget beepers, they later told us they would put together tables but they did not accommodate us as they said they, they kept filling their seats with walk ins and their friends before us, this is very unprofessional.will not go back because of lack of respect and accommodations.

We were a group of three that were able to be seated right away despite it being a busy Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious and served quickly after being ordered, and the waitstaff checked in with us the exact right amount (not too much nor did we have to flag anyone down).

The decor is delightful and fun, and really adds to the atmosphere and experience of dining in!

Tacos pastor are bomb. I wanted to try the tres leche cake but they didn't have any more and sent the churros instead.they had a cream on the inside and were delicious!

Honestly best tacos in montreal. Everything just tastes amazing and the have really cute decor. The place is small and can't acomodate many people so make sure you go there early so you can get the full experiance. The staff is really nice and answered all my questions about the menu.

A bright, well known, family run Mexican restaurant worthy of all the praise it receives. They mistakenly brought me chicken fajitas when I ordered the beef, but it was a happy accident anyways since it was so delicious Get a side of their guacamole too! It’s some of the best in the city.

A cute little local joint. The service was fast and the employees were kind and polite. The price point is very good and the food has a very authentic taste to it.

I love going to this restaurant. The people who run it are so nice. The food is consistently good and they have Jarritos - a must, especially if you have never had soda made with real sugar. Try the guacamole and the tortilla soup! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the meal and the portions (the quesadillas are huge and only $9!). It also has really fun and colourful decorations.

Went with a group of 16 (we had reservations) and it was great! Everyone loved their food and service was really quick. The music was nice, played low so you could still hear people and the decor was great. The waiters were really knowledgeable about allergies too (I'm celiac and allergic to soy). Very reasonably price too, I had tacos, two strong drinks, and two entrees for 50$. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing Mexican flavors. Their food is simple yet delicious. Service is great and the different dishes are fairly priced. Last time I went I got a big dish of Pozole and it was so good and perfect for a cold day v

The food was very fresh and tasty. Both of my companions also enjoyed their food. Other than a couple of fruit flies that came to bother us, we had a nice meal.

The only big negative was that I was still using my plate and was about to finish the bowls of extras we got and someone reached in and took my plate without asking. However, the service was friendly and responsive.

Cozy and home cook style restaurant. Waitress is nice and professional. Food is good, reasonable price and portion is just enough, not big. Serving time is fast. We tried their tacos, quesadillas, Pozole (soup), guacamole, and drink from Mexico. We love the food. Winter is her, the Pozole (soup) is perfect, comfort food. The Pozole is my favorite. We will come back for sure.

Belle découverte, service amical, nourriture goûteuse préparé avec soin, aliments frais et délicieuse.
Qualité prix, imbattable, belle sélection autant dans les cocktails que dans les choix du menu. Les plats chauds étaient servis chauds, ce qui est rare. Bravo pour l'ensemble!

Just at at this fake Mexican restaurant. I ordered beef tacos & a tortilla soup. I got broth with 3 chunks of avocado and a few strings of cheese. I sent it back and said I don't want it because it's not tortilla soup. My Friend also ordered the beef tacos. His came out with steak & cheese with grilled onions top. After 15 minutes the lady asked if I want my tacos now. When mine came out there was dry meat with uncooked green onions on top. I put it on the side and waited for the waitress to come back and refused it and asked for the bill minus the soup and the 2nd order of tacos. The owner came to my table and said I have to pay for the whole bill. Even though I did not eat the food. The owner was very rude and disrespectful. The food was garbage. The tacos looked like fajitas without vegetables. They did not serve salsa, sour cream or guacamole with the tacos. 32$ of pure garbage! DO NOT EAT HERE!

Je recommande:
- la soupe pozole qui est parfaitement épicée et réconfortante;
- leur nachos (un des meilleurs que j'ai mangé à Montréal, sinon le meilleur) dont les chips tortillas sont très croustillants et le guacamole, très savoureux;
- les tacos au poisson pané et chorizo con papa (nous avions également prix le El Flaco, mais il manquait un peu de saveurs)
- leurs cocktails

4 étoiles pour le tout, +1 étoile pour le sourire chaleureux de la maman!

One of the worst places I've been. The tacos are not tacos. There chunks of beef with some cheese melted on top. Not lettuce tomato that's it. Cost me 32 bucks for 6 small pita with beef chunks. And the other 3 had no cheese. And very dry. My friend would not eat them. And even told them she didn't want them. And they still charged for them. So my advice to you save your money. There are better places in Montreal. And the staff sucked don't understand English

J’adore ce restaurant avec la cuisine authentique. Les meilleurs tacos en ville. Nous avons eu tellement de plaisir à célébrer l’anniversaire de notre amie. La chanson et l’ambiance, c’est unique. Ça vaut le détour.

Délicieuse nourriture mexicaine! Le staff est particulièrement gentil et attentionné. Je recommande sans hésiter!:)

we waited 15 minutes for two kind of tacos (3 of each). It was a bit long but the line outside the restaurant was long and it was worth the wait!

Amazing experience! The food was excellent and only surpassed by the wonderful service. Waitresses were kind and welcoming. Restaurant is cozy and feels very authentic. Would highly recommend for anyone craving good Mexican food!

Je suis un client régulier et j’ai remarqué que depuis quelques temps, l’ambiance a vraiment changé dans le resto. Le monsieur avec la casquette à la caisse n’a vraiment pas l’air d’avoir envie d’être là, il a manqué de professionnalisme et était beaucoup moins enjoué que le staff l’est habituellement. De plus, une dame (qu’on s’imagine être la patronne puisqu’elle se permet cela) a crié sur des employés dans la salle à manger devant les clients. Nous avons trouvé ça très malaisant et encore une fois un gros manque de professionnalisme. Les employés en avant courent d’un côté et de l’autre pour ensuite se faire crier après devant les clients… vraiment ordinaire. Nous sommes tout de même retourné, se disant que c’était peut-être une mauvaise journée, mais non toujours pareil. Les gens qui essaient de nous servir se font interrompre et un accueil pas chaleureux du tout. Nous avions pris l’habitude d’aller à cet endroit comme notre sortie pour décrocher et avoir du plaisir puisque justement l’ambiance était agréable. Vraiment dommage

Une des places les plus authentiques, même après avoir déménagé du quartier je reviens toujours pour les meilleurs tacos en ville, rien à date n’est même proche d’être aussi bon!

Propriétaires super sympathiques et assurément les meilleurs tacos du Sud-Ouest! Il y a une autre place de tacos juste à côté, qui est bien plus achanlandée mais avec une qualité bien moins bonne. Essayez les tacos Frida, c'est bien plus authentique!

Delicious tacos and burritos. Very authentic, well seasoned and tasty. The ladies at the front are very friendly and the service is good. The place is cutely decorated and not pretentious at all. The chocoflan is amazing as well!

The best tacos in Montréal! Now I know what you may say, it's not some fancy restaurant
But when it comes to authenticity, this is it. Great staff and good service. The fact that a real taco should cost 1-3$ and they do 3 tacos for 9$ is actually the best price in the city. If you go some where else, you are missing out.

My the food was delicious! Had it twice this past few days. The shrimp burrito and the fish tacos. The fish melts in your mouth. The burrito every bite is flavorful. Might be eating there again this coming weekend!

I went to this place on the recommendation of my colleague. Firstly, it's not the usual commercialzed Mexicanos, but this is a real Mexican food place. The Mexican candies they sell near the billing place shows their authenticity. Don't miss this place

We had ordered Tinga Tacos and Tinga Quesadilla. Both were so authentic and tasty. One of the best I have tasted ever in Canada! Amazing staff to take of this place, their smiling faces are infectious and gives an altogether different meaning to the food. Must visit!

The food is delicious. I ordered a few times already and I love it. They have a very good menu. Desserts, drinks and also extras. My favorite things are the fajitas, tacos and the assiette poisson. You won't regret it ordering or going to this restaurant. Very good food. I love it!

J'ai tenté plusieurs fois de commander en appelant, avec Uber Eat ou avec leur site fridatacosmtl.ca, mais cela n'a jamais fonctionné. Les frais de livraison sont exorbitant (plus de 10$ pour une commande de 20$). À la fin, rien ne me confirme si la commande a été passée ou non. Vive les restaurants qui offrent encore la livraison par téléphone quand on les appels. *** Pour faire suite à votre réponse, il est difficile pour vous de dire que tous les clients ont réussi à commander sans problèmes; ils ont peut-être juste choisi de commander ailleurs. Okay tacos. Service was pretty slow. That and our dirty table wasn't wiped down before it was given to us which wasn't very sanitary. Many items were out of stock too.

Small portions and bad service. Came here with my family, everyone got their order except my brother who had to wait around 30 mins for his, had to ask twice, by the time it arrived we’d all long finished. Food was average.

Was looking forward to eating here but disappointment took its place. Portions on the smaller side for the price you pay. I had the sandwich which was mostly bread, I would say a smear of pork and a few pieces of cooked onion. Great margarita's the best flavor but in tiny glasses.

Cute taco place, feels like a gamily owned place! Price is inexpensive and they have bunch of candies and spices and hot sauces for sale from mexico! I enjoyed it, and the service was great!

Pretty good.
Service was a bit slow (took 25 min for our tacos to arrive. There's no reason why simple tacos should take that long).
They had run of chicken and fish, which was unfortunate. They also didn't have any more guava juice. The restaurant itself was also a bit gross (our table was against the wall and there were mystery splatters all over the wall).
Horchata had too much cinnamon.

However, the tacos were quite delicious and the prices were reasonable.

The food was ok, but portions were too small. Same is true for their margaritas, they're tasty but the glass size is a joke. The sandwich barely had anything in it.

I went to Frida for the first time yesterday for breakfast and honestly the food was the not the best including the service, 1st when we walked in we were sat and within 5 seconds of putting my bum on the chair we were asked by the waitress if we were ready to place the order. I was shocked and told her to give us 5 mins. 2nd while eating, the waiter or waitress never passed by to ask us if everything was ok or if we needed anything nor did they ask if we wanted a refill on coffee. 3rd when we were leaving the cashier didn't even ask us if we enjoyed our plates.nothing at all just the bill and money, to me that's no respect and no manners. I will not be returning here.

My son won't go anywhere else for brunch after a visit to the Children's. Cafe Frida is perfect. The owner is an incredible woman and it shows in her clean cheerful restaurant and her wholesome nourishing meals.

Went around lunch time. They ran out of fish tacos but I'm not going to give less of a score, seeing that the tacos that I ordered were still good. I ordered 3 tacos and a soup for a great price. Service was good, price was great and food was fantastic.

Such a quaint little spot with authentic flavors and the sweetest staff. And super cheap too. Will definitely go back

Très bons les tacos chez Tacos Frida. On a commandé un assiette à partager avec un taco de chaqu'un. A été une très bonne idée. Vraiment délicieux.
