The BEST tacos in Montreal so far!

Service is great, wait time to get your food is acceptable, pricing affordable, drinks are also good.

The only downside is we ordered an extra Pico De Gallo which they then didn't give us but charged us for it anyway. We only noticed it at the very end on our way out. It was only an extra 2$ so we didn't bother since the food was so great that it compensated for it.

Très déçue à notre arrivée ce midi, suite à une réservation faite sur le site internet de Tacos Victor (réservation confirmée quelques jours avant par courriel et message texte par le restaurant), voyant que le restaurant était fermé, vide et en rénovation.
Aucun message de fermeture au restaurant, ni sur les réseaux sociaux (Site Internet, Facebook, Google).

Mexican born and raised living in Montreal for the past 15 years. I tried dozens of Mexican restaurants; all disappointed. Even the so called authentic ones. Ok. I settle for the idea that I’ll never find good tacos in Canada. One day I was passing by this area and saw the sign. Never heard of it before but I walked in. Music and atmosphere felt authentic, but I’ve seen that before I’m not sold. Then I ordered 4 tacos. Yes, I’m used to small baby Canadian tacos now, but then I received this HUGE plate. I’m 5,2 /115 lbs lady. You know I couldn’t finish them but hey hey wow. A su madresita santa. This tacos are the B E S T. They taste like Mexico. Like you walk into you walk in a real taqueria. How they do that? I don’t know. Maybe they ship the cow from Mexico but wow. This Mexican right here is in her 4th visit and will forever come to taco victor.

J'ai bien aimé mon expérience chez Tacos victor. Les plats goûteux, fait maison mais piquant. Le choix du menu est limité mais cela donne un service rapide. Malheureusement se faire comprendre en français c'est difficile mais tout de même j'ai bien aimé.

We tried 4 different tacos. Did not enjoy any of them. Probably the worst we've ever had. Very bland and dry. Would not go back.

It's already. Prices are decent though meat was dry on tacos. Service was alright, but waiter interrupted our conversation a few times mid sentence. Atmosphere is nice with a terrace outside.

Delicious Al Pastor and Chorizo tacos. Huge portions. One taco suffice for a small person like me. But I always take 2 because I always forget their portion size and end up not being able to finish the second taco. Omg and their ceviche. So good.

A very authentic Mexican experience in St Henry! The drinks were excellent, the food fresh and tasty. The staff were courteous and service was very good. Spanish is in the air and I loved that!

The tacos were a little too salty, but the hot sauces were fantastic! The busboy (a polite Spanish girl) told us that the sauces were made by her mother’s Mexican recipe, this explained why we felt like we were in Mexico! The Pina Colada helped!

If you want good tacos, do not bother to go here. Even though the service was good and the place looked nice, the food was utterly bad. Let's begin with our drinks, we order a Michelada and a Paloma. The paloma had no grapefruit juice/soda and was watered-down. For the Micheladas, they did not offer any choices of beer other than Dos Equis and again the drink was watered-down, they put too much Clamato/V8 (?). Both cocktails were not served with ice like they are supposed to. For food, we order the taco box, which came with 12 tacos. One restriction from this platter was that you can only take 3 out of the 8 taco meats they offer. This restriction is not mentionned in their menu. The box came with fries (cold in our case) and Guacamole (which needed salt and lime). The taco meats we ordered were al pastor, steak and bavette. The tacos al pastor was lacking flavor, the seasoning did not feel authentic, and the pineapple (which traditionally comes with this type of tacos) was not grilled. It was canned pineapple. The steak and bavette tacos were dry. They didn't give enough salsa to put on the tacos, not enough limes and they did not have salsa verde, all of which are traditional from taquerias. Overall, I was very dissapointed because this place has a lot of "good reviews". However, the quality and authenticity of the tacos were not there. Thus, their score is not representative. Beware.

Taco Victor @tacos_victor is a cool little spot located in Saint-Henri on Notre-Dame street. A meca of amazing restaurants over the years that have been literally flooding this street.

I love Mexican food, it's a type of cuisine that most people over look as fast food, and relate it to taco bell, which to me is insulting. Mexican Cuisine has such a rich and diverse culture of traditions in there food that most people overlook. I've looked far and wide for good Mexican food across the city of Montreal.

For me the staple of Mexican food and you can argue this if you like is "The Taco". The homade corn tortillas, the yummy meats that are typically slow cooked on rotisserie or braised. The fresh guacamole and pico de galo to enhance the taco. Finished with cilantro and fresh lime.

Taco Victor is a great place to get a taco and fast. Sits maybe 16 people max but that's all they really need. I got the Bavette Taco which was topped with fries and fresh cilantro. As well as their Al Pastor Taco with onion, pineapple and again, cilantro. I got their homemade salsas one spicy one not which accompanied the tacos really well!

If your in the area, come try this little spot. Good place for some tacos, ceviche during a hot summer day and try one of Mexico's sodas.

Sortie ce samedi. 30 min avant la fermeture des cuisines.
Guacamole horrible, sans assaisonnement. Que de gros morceaux d’avocats tomates et oignons.
Tacos trop garni (avec des frites dedans!?) secs sans sauce mais la viande bonne. Qualité de la tortilla à désirer.
Déçue, je ne reviendrai plus.

Les ingrédients ne sont pas de qualité et les repas proposés ne diffèrent malheureusement pas des chaînes bien connues et servant des menus identiques à plus grande échelle dans les food-courts.
D'ailleurs, le menu phare qui est une dégustation de 3 types de tacos différents est servi dans une boîte de à Pizza en carton!
Dommage, Cela aurait pu être authentique.

I walked by here 2 weeks ago and saw a decent sized lineup waiting to get in, I figured it was a good place. So. I Came here today with my friend and ordered two steak tacos, small nachos and Shrimp tacos.

Our waiter took our orders and the food arrived VERY QUICK like. Food shouldn't arrive this fast kinda quick.

The food arrived and to say it was disappointing is an understatement, the steak was dry, I had 4 tortillas.why are you putting 4. You know what. Never-mind.

Then I noticed THEY PUT FRENCH FRIES ON OUR TACOS! Both steak and shrimp tacos had soggy fries on top! Why are you doing this?

After listing to reggae music in a Mexican restaurant for 2 Min. The nachos arrived and were cold, soggy and had a horrible portions of cheese and toppings, This should have been out first sign to leave.

Then we noticed our waiter was drinking and doing shots with some people at the table next to us, we had sat for almost 20 minutes with empty glasses waiting for our bill. He was clearly having a better evening then us. I'll never return to this establishment, we had an absolute miserable time and made a big mistake even giving this place the time of day. Never again.
