Tattoo Abyss (Tatouage Abyss Montreal)

Went in for a custom piece. Half of a maple seed. The tattoo looks like an eggplant. It’s fuzzy and unintelligible. Ive had several people ask me if it was male genitalia. Not only am I dissatisfied but I’m embarrassed to have this on my body. The stencil looked fine but the end result was completely different and nothing like the photo reference. My moms “matching” one was a completely different shape than mine. It’s a different tattoo.

Second time coming here and this place is still by far the safest environment for tattoos I've ever been in. The owner, Abby, is a dream with a delicate hand who tattooed me a couple months ago. Leo tattooed me today and he was very kind and respectful. Very happy with all my tattoos! If you care about the quality of the environment as well as the end result, definitely choose Tattoo Abyss.

I had my first tattoo at this parlor and the person who did it was very experienced and professional. His name is Pouria. I would definitely recommend going to this parlor. The Art in there is fascinating too!

Je suis extrêmement déçue.
J'ai pris rdv pour un covering d'une rose et je repars avec deux choux-fleurs irréalistes et de l'encre qui déborde.
De plus, on voit toujours le tatouage initial en dessous. J'ai tenté de le faire recouvrir dans un autre salon, mais il a été impossible de recouvrir le travail d'Abby.
Aussi, elle n'a pas respecté le covering qu'elle m'avait proposé au départ! Un futur client est arrivé. Elle a donc accéléré et n'a fait que repasser sur les anciennes lignes existantes. Du coup, pas d'améliorations apportées!
Elle m'a demandé si je vivais à Montréal et si j'allais revenir, puis m'a facturé assez cher suite à ma réponse.
Je suis en colère!

Was tattooed by Leo. He did a great job, was super easy to talk to, and was great at making us feel comfortable. Atmosphere was amazing and the shop was beautiful and clean. Couldn't recommend this place enough- tattoo itself turned out awesome as well!

Today I got a tattoo coverup by Abby and I really really like the tattoo she created. Clock with roses.

I love the design, style and all details that she added. She is very patient and very detailed oriented. I recommend her as a talented tattoo artist.

The tattoo shop is also very nice with canvas painting and plants.

Ali (@tinymenace.tattoos) is honestly incredible, and that's an understatement. My family and I were in town for a very short length of time and wanted to get tattoos together, they were so helpful from the start, helping me plan out the bookings to they lined up, ALSO coming in on a day off to tattoo me. Like I've never had such amazing customer service. As if that wasn't enough, the tattoo they did was perfection. Pouria gave my dad his first 2 tattoos and they were memorial pieces, they did a fantastic job of taking my dad through the experience and left tears in all my family's eyes with their beautiful work. The parlour overall is very nicely decorated (lots of gorgeous plants, Abby's paintings, nice ceilings), clean and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

Je viens de terminer un "half-sleeve cover up" avec Abby et ça été une magnifique expérience. La qualité du travail qu'elle fait, sa créativité et la facilité avec laquelle est peut travailler avec un tatouage difficile a modifié est surprenant.

J'ai été la voir à cause des NOMBREUX reviews positif et l'expérience complète a été au-dessus de mes attentes. Je recommanderais les yeux fermés cet établissement à toutes personnes qui désirent faire affaire avec des professionnels dans une atmosphère calme et relaxante. Vraiment je n'ai que du positif à dire sur Tattoo Abyss.

Manque de professionalisme. Lorsque je lui pose des questions elle me laisse sans réponse (via Instagram). Je ne recommande pas cette place de tattoo à personne. Elle a perdu des clients! Si tu lis ce message Abby, prends le temps de répondre à tes clients lors d'une consultation!

Je suis tellement contente de mon premier tatouage avec Liane, j'y retourne prochainement pour en faire un deuxième! Très professionnel!

I had my appointment with Kim. She’s a sweetheart. She is super nice and very attentive. She makes sure you are alright all along the process. It was my first tattoo ever and I will gladly take another appointment with her anytime soon.

This tattoo shop is my favorite. There are so many different artists and styles. Everyone is so friendly and they make you feel comfortable from the get go! Honnêtes. J'y suis allé pour mon fils pour un motif chinois avec pas mal de details, et il m'ont gentiment expliqué que ce n'était pas leur spécialité. En me donnant en plus quelques contacts aller voir.

Super expérience. Premier tatouage fait avec Camille, au top.
Consultation qui rassure et un tatouage dont je suis trop fier, magnifique et que j'ai pris du plaisir à faire.
Le magasin et le personnel sont très accueillant. Je reviendrais c'est une certitude.

Satisfaite de mon tatouage. Le fait que le salon soit ouvert la fin de semaine est un atout. Prix compétitifs. Le système de réservation en ligne est également un gros plus.

I came across Abby's Instagram and really liked her work. Although her books were closed for the rest of the year, she was able to carve some time out during my visit to Montreal. Her studio was clean, she was professional, and she delivered a great first tattoo experience. I received compliments from a lot of my friends! Thanks Abby!

I had done cover up sessions with Abby the owner of the tattoo shop and to be quite frank, I ended up searching for another artist to cover up her work.

There were a few red flags coming into my sessions with her that I should have followed but reading all the reviews and with the hope that with maybe more work and more sessions, my vision would finally come to life, I proceeded with her as my artist. From the get-go, she was unreliable. We agreed on a concept for my tattoo and that a sketch would be sent through email prior to my appointment, but that was never done. On the day of my 1st session, she arrived late and quickly sketched a draft to make up for never sending the email. I specifically asked if she had knowledge and experience in japanese art and she convinced me somehow that she did. After my sessions, my piece (thankfully) was incomplete but nothing seemed to connect nor did they match what we had initially discussed. She rushed a lot of the work and even forgot important details of my tattoo that I had to mention to her as she was going onto the next part of my piece.

All this to say, cover-up tattoos are hard enough on their own and require so much attention especially since I had already undergone laser. I trusted her on finally bringing my vision to life and she ended up creating a bigger challenge for me to deal with. So please, if choosing to work with her, be specific and do your research.

Had an incredible experience at this shop! First, their online system of booking either a tattoo or consultation is incredibly easy to use and very convenient. Before doing so, I called and spoke to Naomi, the manager. She was super friendly, and after telling her what I wanted done, she told me that I could go ahead and book my tattoo online. I set up an appointment with Devon, then proceeded to email him with reference photos for my tattoo. He responded quickly, and within a few days sent me a sketch of what my tattoo would look like. On the day of the appointment, he took the time to discuss the direction of the tattoo and made sure I was happy with it, which I totally was. In the end, he created an amazing piece. If you're in the market for a new tattoo, I highly recommend checking out this shop.

J'ai été tattoué par Abby! J'ai fait un cover-up d'un gros tribal sur un bras! En plus d'être une excellente tattoueuse, elle a fait preuve de beaucoup de professionnalisme et elle a été à l'écoute de ce que je voulais! Je recommende fortement ses services!

The staff is really friendly and the artists are very nice. Talented in drawing. The reason why I am giving them 2 stars is because my tattoo ink leaked and they said it was my skin type. The nice woman at the cash showed me her leaked tattoos and said it's normal. But I've come to realize, it's not. And that in my case it is because the artist pressed too hard allowing him to complete the tattoo faster as for him it was considered a small tattoo (it is the biggest tattoo on my body). Or maybe it's a just lack of experience. I had another, more experienced artist In Miami, do a much smaller, thinner and complicated tattoo in an extremely difficult area and it is perfect. No leaks. No smudges. Just perfect. The reason being he used the smaller needle that was required and took the time to go over it slowly twice, had patience and just honesty cared more. I still love the tattoo I got. It's super beautiful but if I had the chance to redo it, I would not go back to Abyss.

Angel Gonzalez à prit le temps de bien comprendre ma demande et de redessiner mon dessin jusqu'à ce que nous trouvions la "perfection"! Un grand merci à lui pour sa gentillesse, sa patience, son talent et son honnêteté!

Went in for a walk-in after discussing with their receptionist on the handy chat box they have on their site. I must say the ambiance was very relaxing and welcoming. I was supposed to see Angel but upon my arrival at the studio I was offered to get my tattoo done by Liane instead as Angel was still busy (I think). My experience with her was very positive, I showed her what I wanted to get and let her take the lead from there as far as style was concerned and I'm very happy with the result. I would happily get another tattoo with her.

The place is very clean and the decor is lovely too.

Stopped by the studio for their flash day and was amazed by how friendly all the staff was.

Prices are resonable and there were so many styles of flash to choose from!

Ended up getting a beautiful jellyfish flash with Liane. She was so accommodating and made me feel right at home!

Not only is her style so adorable, it was virtually painless. I almost fell asleep!

I'm definitely going to be booking with her again for a custom piece.:)

Abby a réalisé un cover-up sur un ancien tattoo que j’avais depuis 7 ans et que je n’avais jamais aimé. Son habileté à créer quelque chose de beau à partir de l’existant est tout simplement extraordinaire. Je suis très satisfaite du résultat et tellement heureuse d’avoir enfin un tattoo à mon goût.

I did a coverup tattoo last Sunday and it workout great. Devon did a great job and was also nice to chat with him while he was working on it. Their website is one of the best, offering live chat with the receptionist on site so you can get details and answers to your questions before going there or taking an appointment. It was definitely an overall above expectations experience.

The place is very cool and clean, and I love my tatto done by Camille, who is a magnific artist. Thank, you I enjoyed the conversation.

I got my first tattoo with Abby an elephant and lotus flower mandala, and since then I knew she’s my artist to go for everything! Honestly the enivoronemnt and vibe is really nice in there, very welcoming and comforting. Abby’s work is just amazing! Can’t wait to do more!
