Taverne Gaspar

Thursday 07/19/2023 birthday celebration for my husband, with my son. Empty restaurant. I had made the reservation by telephone from Buenos Aires. 5 months later I find out that my husband DOESN'T DINNER BECAUSE OF THE PRESENCE OF A MOUSE ON THE ARMCHAIRS.
WHAT A MESS. I CLARIFY THAT I HAVE PHOTOS OF MY PRESENCE IN THE PLACE.

Came for diner last Friday as this place was recommended by a family member and boys did we have a nice meal. I had the Beef Cheek served with a Risotto was one of the best I had. Our waiter which I forgot the name was excellent. I recommend and will be back.

The classic foods with great ambiance make this place such a beautiful spot to have dinner and wines. We were there for a celebration and the staff were incredibly personable helping us celebrate together in a meaningful way.

Awesome food, great service. Thanks for everything Marie. Definitely coming back before we leave.

La cuisine était fade. Mon entrée de pieuvres contenaient si peu de pieuvres que j'avais l'impression d'avoir mangé que des pois chiches, ensuite j'ai eu un jarret d'agneau sec et peu gouteux. Il y a juste le dessert (une crème brulée) qui était bonne.

Le service était pratiquement absent.

La salle est agréable. Seulement la luminosité de l'éclairage principale oscillait.

Merci à Dominic pour le service 5 étoiles qu'on a reçu, cela paraît qu'il aime son métier, il a fait de ma première expérience au Gaspar une réussite, j'ai adoré mon expérience

Terrible experience here, I have no idea how this place has anything above 4 stars. Poor service, over priced food, go any where but here.

Stunningly beautiful restaurant, stunningly sub par food. Sadly, the steak was tough and of poor quality (fries were great) and the salmon was soggy and paired with soggy quinoa. (Didn’t need teeth for this selection). The food was a huge disappointment.

We chose Gaspar for a special anniversary and we were so happy we did! The quality of the dishes was fantastic, most of all the Duck was incredibly tender. The cavatelli with truffle sauce was incredible and a very generous helping of parmesan. I must also give honorable mention to the foie gras it was fantastic definitely one of the best restaurants in Old Montreal, highly recommended!

Went there with a friend for Saturday Brunch. The portion size was quite small. My friend asked in advance no onions, but meal was served with onions. While I was using the washroom the cleaning man came in and stayed there the whole time, made me feel very exposed, uncomfortable.

Meilleur resto dans le Vieux Port de Montréal. Tout était parfait tatare de bison, accras de morue, joue de boeuf et les drinks. Nous avons eux de l’excellent service de Dominic et Ludo.
