A truly enchanted place to be! From the beautifully landscaped trails complete with woodchips to soften the ground and natural tunnels formed by tree foliage. I was transported!
A calm and relaxing trails in Pointe Claire to get away from the stress. We used to walk there when the kids had swimming lessons at the nearby Aquatic Center.
Great walking trails in Pointe-Claire! Nice to walk around with family or your dogs, as long as you keep them in a leash and clean up after them. It goes slightly on a hill so you get to see houses around, even a football and soccer field and so on. This park is located on a residential neighborhood.
If you want to go for a nice short walk but you live on the west Island, it is worth visiting!
The home team paid the ref to win our game but it’s ok because I hooked up with their captain’s sister which ultimately secured me the real W… the park is nice and visibly maintained, lots of places to sit and the soccer field has limited patches (could be better though). Great for a quick visit!
Truly a gem of the west island. The nearby sports field and the homes next to the forest can be rather loud, but there are still beautiful scenes and animals to take in at Terra Cotta. Beautiful tall trees all over. Keep an eye out for hummingbirds perched atop bare trees in the meadow. Great place for woodpeckers and chickadees. American Redstarts in the breeding season, and more warblers during migration. Plenty of robins. If you're lucky you might see a fox. Unfortunately there may occasionally be some outdoor or feral cats in forest as well.
Little tight in a pandemic, lots of dogs off leash (against the law of course) New soccer fields stink of rubber off gassing, cost us a fortune and used and will use tons of fossil fuels to build and maintain.
One of my new favourite places to walk the dogs. The paths are well maintained and very clean. You can walk your four legged friends here which is a nice change from the average park in Montreal. My only critique is that the signs are difficult to follow (although everything leads to an exit so don’t worry about getting lost)
The walk is nice. The fake fenced off fields have taken away the family feeling the park use to have. Watching them waste endless fossil fuels to keep these fake grass fields look nice is bizarre. Living beside endless beeping for soccer makes me want to move.
We loved walking in these woods as well as biking in the parts that were permitted. The paths are upkept often. We are geocachers so there were geocaches to be found in here. Just be sure to put on bug repellent!
I LOVE what they have done to this park since I was a kid. Now I go with my granddaughter and explore while I teach her about nature, want to talk a solo walk through the woods and pasture or take the kids to catch butterflies, this is the nature walk/park for you
This is a little known treasure in the heart of Pointe-Claire. This heavily wooded area is an ideal spot for exercise and recreation any time of the year.
Very nice park for jogging or walking. They use wood chips on the paths which is much softer on the knees and better for the environment. I just wish it was bigger.
Pointe Claire has given the park some TLC. It is amazing. I have been in a while and the difference that I saw was great. The parking lot is all redone. The trails are all redone with wood chips. No more muddy spots. The trails also are all marked with some tidbits about the animals that live in the park during the seasons. The dogs had a good time as well as the kids while reading the signs.
A very beautiful nature park. You don't realize that you're so close to the city. If you're coming with a stroller bring one that's good on rough terrain.
J'aime cette endroit beaucoup parce que le parc est grand et il y a plusieurs choix d'activités comme de la marche dans la forêt, de la course dans une piste d'athlétisme et on peut faire du soccer grâçe au nombreux terrains.
Was only here with my friends around 8, so it was dark, but from what I could see with the flash on my phone it was a beautiful! Super nice, I have to plan a day to come back with others!
For a small park, it has a nice variety of areas. I'd love to see more park like this throughout Montreal, preferably (somewhat) connecting and definitely more accessible by public transport.
Always nice to walk through the trails with the family, no matter how many times you walk through there's something new to see. Beautiful and educational
Nice wildlife park in the heart of suburban Pointe-Claire. Recently updated with new trail markers and interpretive signs. Efforts to fight the spread of buckthorn and replant trees in areas damaged by "off-trail" activity are starting to pay off.
