Wonderful place, best elevated patio in old Montreal. Very nice staff. Only complaint, the booking system could be better, automation is not a great solution.

Came here for a quick drink before dinner as I saw it had beautiful views! The views did not disappoint! We sat at the bar and had a nice time. The drink however wasn’t much of a cocktail and more like a juice. I don’t know if it was because there was too much ice or if it was just not much alcohol in it. I would come back to try another thing and because the views were great!

Unfortunately, I did not like the foods at all; pasta and salmon. The steak and burger were good, not great. The menu did not have vegatarian option, except for cesar salad which I am not a fan. The waitress was polite but it took long time to get a service. The atmosphere was awesome with a bit uncomfortable chairs.

Excellent experience here for one anniversary. They gave us 2 glasses of champagne for the occasion, and the service level was excellent. We ordered the grilled salmon, the beet carpaccio and the truffle pasta. All came in portion sizes larger than expected and pleasing, mild flavors. The view of the old harbor was fantastic, and even though it's in the roof, it's mostly enclosed and has many heat lamps to keep the interior cozy - we took off our coats. Much better portion sizes, view and service quality compared to the other ~5 upscale restaurants we've tried here in Montreal. Our waiter, Kevin, was very attentive, but not pushy. Will return.

Quand j'ai poliment demandé à l'hotesse de changé ma place (y'avait une table que venait de se liberer) elle a refusé. Service nul!

J’ai commandé le tartare de saumon, et ma femme la bavette de boeuf! Et je recommande aucun des deux c’était fade comme cuisine! Le tartare était presque sans goût à part, on aurait dis que c’était pas assaisonné et pas d’arôme! La bavette de boeuf était correcte sauf que les accompagnements était vraiment trop peu. Bref ca ne valait pas les prix sur le menu

5 stars mainly for the rooftop view and friendly service. We came for brunch on a Friday in the summer, the menu doesn't offer eggs benny or any of the normal brunch classics. The food was still decent, though disappointed to see limited vegetarian options. It's overpriced but that's expected given the area and upscale setting. Surprisingly, the coffee was not well made and overly bitter. Better off getting one at Café Olimpico downstairs. Overall would come back as it's a beautiful setting but wish they would expand the menu.

For the price, the food and the service doesn’t meet the standard. I asked if there’s fries with the main dish, because i remember on the menu it says so. The busboy looked in my eyes and said no without any explanation. We just stared at each other… so I ordered another one. Made me remember about my last visit to Perché when the server felt she didn’t serve the food fast enough and striked the entire bill, William Gray is much more expensive but it’s not even comparable. It gives this chic allure but… bof

J’ai essayé leur concept de bulles chauffées sur leur terrasse pour un brunch d’hiver. Globalement, je suis satisfaite de mon expérience. Le 8e étage offre une belle vue sur le vieux-port et la mise en place des bulles est élégante et originale. Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, le 1er service avec les planches de charcuterie, fruits et fromages est impeccable et les portions sont généreuses. Pour le 2e service, j’ai été légèrement déçue de la tartiflette, qui consistait en grande majorité de patates peu assaisonnées et qui manquait de fromage et d’accompagnements. Finalement, le dernier service de mignardises était un délice sucré! Notre système de chauffage a lâché quelques fois en cours de repas, mais le service était irréprochable et le gérant nous a même offert des viennoiseries en compensation. Je recommande!

J’ai essayé le souper avec le dôme, c’était vraiment une magnifique soirée pour un groupe de 6-8 personnes c’est vraiment parfait et super convivial

Piège à touristes, la vue est agréable sur la ville, le personnel à l'écoute mais le tout est gâché par les prix prohibitif et les quantités insuffisantes, nous avons pris 2 apéritifs avec une planche de charcuterie pour 90 dollars canadien avec les taxes et le tips, sur la planche à 30 euros trois pauvres morceaux de saucisson un peu de jambon et beaucoup de moutarde, une honte tellement l'assiette faisait pauvre pour le prix.
Je ne recommande pas cet endroit

Personnellement je la considère la meilleure terrasse de Montréal, pour le rapport qualité-prix et panorama dans tous les saisons. Absolument conseillé!

A wonderful terrace with a great view. Service is also nice and diligent. It’s a pity that the kitchen changed its signature. It doesn’t matter whether you order crevettes or calmar frites, both taste same. The poulet a la Brasa and the 2 burgers both with a mixture of salad and a huge amount of fries. @All dishes served were offered with a blob of mayonnaise, but differently colored!
Taste off all dishes tasted od and were highly priced!

While visiting Montreal I stumbled upon this lovely rooftop. The decor was very elegant with an attentive staff. The vibe was peaceful with room to chat.

Heated patio, Walk-ins are accepted, incredible view with a waterfront feel, food was extremely flavorful, fresh, and carefully plated. Even a trip to the restroom was nice, with a partial glass wall hallway leading to the restroom. Drinks were okay. It’s a bit pricy but it’s certainly worth it.

Will revisit when I visit Montréal again.

Very pretty terrace, very overpriced and not good food. The lobster gnocchi was >$30 and It tasted like… nothing. It tasted like white bread with a creamy texture. Drinks are yummy but also overpriced. Beef tar tar was apparently good!

Very bad customer service. I have been trying to book a table for two weeks for a Bday party but every time I m calling the front desk guy at the hotel is saying different thing!

First they are annoyed that I m calling the hotel but there is no phone number other than the hotel’s

Then the hotel guy said last week no reservation accepted you can walk in and you will find a table. I didn’t believe that I called two days ago another guy said you have to book online but when I go online I never find a table after 7 PM no matter what day I select even after a month although the terrace closes at 12 AM on the weekends.

I told the guy I can’t find a slot after 7 PM but he still insists reservations is only online!

I never found such service they are just pushing me away!

First off, the patio was filled with bees which was bothersome and made for a very uncomfortable dining experience to say the least. The food was mediocre in taste and presentation. I had higher expectations for this restaurant and the service alone was 0/10. The waiter did not check in with our table and was very disengaged and unfriendly. I would not recommend.

If you are not seated at the main terrace, don’t go cause you will feel left out on the small side of the rooftop. The location and the view are nice. The menu could be upgraded.

I got a really bad waitress there. I ordered a drink and there was a insect inside of my drink. I asked the waitress to change the drink. But, "she said it's terrace. Do you have a spoon? You can remove it. " First, there was no spoon. Second, I understand it's terrace. But, I don't pay my drink with insect. Especially, when I received the drink, there was an insect already. I felt so bad because of her. I was so excited to go to the restaurant. She brought an empty glass and let me manage to remove an insect. The insect go everywhere in my drink. For me, it's over. She was just looking at me. Worst service ever. After, I tried to find other waitress to talk. But she noticed I tried to talk with other person. Suddenly, she came back to me and finally asked me "Do you want to change? ". Excuse me? Of course. Say from beginning. When she bring the second drink, she said "Put a napkin on the drink. " (to avoid insect) It was a windy day. How I can keep the napkin? Lol
She was a joke. The restaurant shouldn't have the kind of waitress because it was not cheap restaurant. Their service has to be good. Anyway, I won't come back there.

Below average drinks and service.bar tender mixing drinks without measurements is not acceptable for place like this.drinks were either too diluted or too strong. It was taking too long between the drinks and overall service was poor.expected a lot better from this place

Le plateau de fromages etait une joke.
4 petits bouts de fromages "du terroire" 3 fraises 3 mures et 3 croutons secs pour 23 $.
16$ pour un 6 oz de fond de bouteille de rouge bon, mais ordinaire.
C'est tout sauf glamour voir ton serveur "shaker" la bouteille pour aller chercher la derniere goutte au fond mettons.
Même chez st-hubert on m'aurait ouvert une nouvelle bouteille ou amener un deuxieme petit verre plutot que de me dire que d'une évidence on a touché le fond et quand même me charger le verre.
En gros, c'est correct une fois pour admirer la vue, mais c'est definitivement pas au niveau de l'image que le propriétaire veut dégager.
C'est juste aussi cher que si ce l'était.

Went there for a business meeting, there's a spectacular view and we had stellar service from Ulysse. Very happy with our experience. Cannot recommend enough.

Very rude here. If you’re a tourist I don’t recommend coming here. Small selection of food. Good view but don’t expect to get a good seat. Much better service in other cities like Vancouver and Toronto where they are more friendly and accommodating

J'etais tres déçu. Pour le standing d'un hôtel La terasse est tres médiocre, petite, les tables sont tres tres rapproché. Les prix sont tres élevé par rapport a la qualité et la quantité de ce que tu reçois. Le personnel est gentil. Mais j'ai recu mon plat 1h30 après avoir commandé. Pas de variété dans le menu. Personnellement je m'attendais a plus.

The best, driving from Toronto, 5h drive yes, it's worth it. Honestly, I can say that I found very good quality, flavour and really good food. I recommend everyone who has never tasted, go at Terrasse William Gray. Like I said "You need to open in Toronto" I will be very happy to see you there. FrenchyOums

Léa nous a donné un service exceptionnel. La bouffe était fantastique et la vue encore meilleure. Ce fut une expérience sans pareille. Je serai de retour et j’espère pouvoir avoir une expérience qui s’apparente à celle que Léa nous a offerte. Excellente soirée!

Let's not hide it: you go there for the view and not for the quality of the food. I usually wish they had both but it wasn't the case. The waiters weren't very flexible when we asked to have a table next to the window, saying it was due to COVID-19 measures while we weren't even installed at our table yet and there were many tables available all during the evening. They strictly said no but a couple later made the same request as they as a table behind us and they were accommodated. The tataki de saumon was pretty decent but very small. The burger de boeuf was very ordinary and overpriced and the pieuvre grillée was okay.

Great views. Good service.
Terrible food. Only a few options for brunch, everything is pre-made. Case in point- You can’t even choose the firmness of your eggs. Meals came out in about 3mins. They’re definitely pre-making these breakfasts then sitting under heat lamp and sending them out.

Pour commencer ne vous fiez pas à intagram ni tiktok LOL! PREMIÈREMENT c'est petit et ma si beau que ça. 2e le menu n'est vraiment PAS varie et cher pour rien. Le prix n'est pas un problème quand il y a du choix. Les serveuse sont vraiment gentille et attentionnée maia honnêtement je nw retournerais pas là-bas. Et btw un pichet de sangria à 60$ pour avoir 1/4 de boisson et 3/4 de glace. Merci bonsoir!

Terrasse William Grey is a lovely spot to grab dinner in Old Port. It has amazing views, delicious drinks and great service. The beef tartare was fresh and all of our dinners we're fantastic. Can't wait to stop by again!

Belle terrasse! Mon seul hic après avoir fait le tour du monde et d’avoir visité plusieurs hôtels du genre.c’est que la terrasse ouvre seulement à 3 heure! Pas très top pour un hôtel du genre!

La gestion de la terrasse manque un peu là dessus!

Beautiful view and ambiance. The price tho is really high and the food quality and service given doesn't match (still good, but they project a high end allure). Expect exceptional view, not the rest.
