It may seem small from the outside but once you go in, you realize what a good variety of products it had. I usually go here to find things I know I wouldn't be able to find in other markets nearby. Also, their fresh cooked food ready to eat is delicious.
Nice, clean, you feel fancy when you go there but this place is meant for rich people. Though the morning coffee deal with a muffin is great (thats the only thing i can afford in there)
Honestly, for where it is, and what it is, this place is pretty alright. Yes, it’s expensive but it’s well curated. If you want something other than an IGA food counter lunch, then I recommend the walk-over. Nothing is competitively priced. You are paying for both the products and the place. So treat yourself and see how the other-half lives!
My favorite place to get pre-prepared salads and fresh fruits and vegetables! A bit on the pricier side but I think it's worth the price for the quality of their foods!
A great grocery shop with a huge variety of products, in all the different price ranges, and a wide variety of daily, freshly baked breads and pastries. Plenty of Organic produce and pretty much anything else Organic that you might need.
Limited selection of vegetables. Even after I addressed him in English the turkey at the cash register wanted to speak French. This is Westmount. Quel cretin!
Really 5 session! You can find everything. It takes more than one hour when you enter this shop. The variety of products is attractive. Price for fresh products are reasonable but for special products are a little high. It's very clean and big. Also, there is a coffeeshop that you can buy coffee before 5pm with fresh daily muffins and cookies
The term gourmet is used for a reason, it is fairly expensive. But you tend to get what you pay for. I would avoid staples here, but what you do buy will be of high quality. The store is very clean and well stocked and the service is great. We had the best feta we have had in a long time, more expensive but worth it for the quality. For certain items it is worth it, but they do not compete on prices.
Terrible service and extremely rude staff. Many items for sale in the bakery section are already several days old. Not what you would explain at a high end grocery store. Metro owns the store and should do more to improve it.
Why no online shopping with delivery like Metro & Iga- in this health crisis! I phoned & did not like hearing cme to the store and shopwith in store delivery only. No phone orders, no online shopping- of no help to you aged quarantined customers - shame on you! Tell people to stay home!
Large selection of prepared take out foods, but otherwise not the specialized food store it claims to be. With a few notable exceptions, namely the butchers, the staff is untrained and know little about the food they are selling. One of the managers, when asked, did not know what a Vidalia onion is. At the fish counter, I’ve only met one staff member who had even heard of a Rock Fish. Almost without exception, all staff are very friendly and do try to help - but almost none are ‘foodies ‘. Owned by the Metro company, 5 seasons is little more than a downsized super market. Foodies and serious home cooks: go a few blocks south to the Atwater Market.
Our favorite Montreal specialty grocery store. They have the very best prepared food counter we know. A little pricey but delicious options. Additionally they have an excellent array of fine foods that is 2nd to none. Indoor parking is a huge advantage in Westmount
I was there at 7.50 trying to get backery as a gift for valentine eve. The lady tells me they close at 8 n all i want is a simple cake that is run out but on display and is for sale. She refuses to get me the cake and says they close at 8 n i show her my clock and its not 8 p.m
Bad customer service. Ruined my Valentines eve surprise. Had to run from work to get this and nothing. Never coming back to les 5 saison.
An upscale supermarket with many items often not found in other grocery stores. Only beware - a seemingly ordinary cartful of groceries can carry a hefty price tag.
It's expensive. Westmount prices for regular groceries. Prepared food, pastries and fancy cuts of meat are good quality, with a very high $$$ Produce is fine, but I prefer metro, IGA or Adonis.
Some key ingredients were missing (like basil), and the ones they have are overpriced. That being said, they have some very interesting ingredients too, such as fresh chantrelles or fancier cuts of meat.
I loved loved loved this supermarket because they had so many vegan options and goodies to try! And they were also giving out sample of their new vegan wraps that just stocked their shelves and we were obsessed with them. We also got to try vegan yogurt, icecream, and sausages. I would definitely shop here again when visiting Montreal!
Variety is great. Fresh food. Clean establishment. Prices are far too high for your day-to-day groceries. Would simply go for a special recipe or craving. Prepare to spend a lot for little. Atmosphere is okay. Seems like somewhere you wouldn't go into in sweatpants.
Beautiful store. Amazing selection of products that you can't find in other grocery stores. However, the produce is over priced. But I guess if you can afford it, the price is acceptable.
