The Common Room Barbershop Montreal

I was in Montreal for work and I make it a habit to get my haircut when visiting a new city. I had a last minute cancellation so called for a quick haircut. Jonny was super accommodating and made time for me. I asked for length on top and shorter sides to let Jonny have flexibility with his expertise. It did not disappoint. This was one of the best haircuts I have had and I recieved complements for over a week. Jonny is a gentlemen and the shop looked amazing. I highly recommend and I will be back when I'm next in Montreal.

Awesome people! Very courteous and amicable. They took me in for some touch ups on the spot even though I didn’t have an appointment, so nice of them. And the cut was flawless!

Incredible experience! I was surprised to see so many good reviews, but here I am posting my own.

I did my hair and beard with Alexis. He's a very cool dude, super chill and communicative. The fact that there was communication before and during the cut was a total plus! Alexis absolutely nailed my cut, and I've been trying to get this look for a while.

It is of course a bit more pricey than other places, but the service was worth it. I'll 100% come back.

Alexis is the man! I showed him a picture of the hairstyle that I want and he did a nice work on my hair. He'll be my regular barber from now on. I like the vibe of the shop too. Very cozy and clean.

Just moved here to Montreal until the end of the year, went today for a shave and a beard lineup, Joe was the one that cut my hair (long hair) Great guy to talk to and he did a phenomenal job, Great prices Great staff and really nice place - I will definitely be back

One thing - I want to add though it was a little tough to find for a first time goer, I would suggest they put a sign outside their door with an arrow pointed to where it is so more people see this AMAZING barbershop

Definitely, the best barbershop I've been too in Montréal. The ambiance, in conjunction with the music made the place feel warm and welcoming. Highly recommend Jonathan Dorado, as he takes his time and gives great quality hairs cuts. Therefore, creating excitement and eagerness for your next haircut.

I was skeptical of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but pleasantly, ended up wrong to be.

I had an excellent experience with Emily, who was nice to chat with and did an exceptional fade for me.

The location is a bit out of the way, but they've done a nice job of making a dark basement location enjoyable with lots of plants, plus there's ambient music that makes chatting with your barber entirely optional but also possible without raising your voice.

I'll be back. This is the kind of good, no-fuss experience I wanted with fair prices and courteous service.

Switched to the Common Room a few months ago. Great and friendly service (ask for Steven), good atmosphere and decent prices - would highly recommend!

Le salon m'a été recommandé par un ami et Émilie m'a coupé (plutôt réajusté) les cheveux (et les sourcils). Super pro comme coiffeuse. Le decor sort de l'ordinaire et la musique des annees 90 (hip-hop) donnent clairement une note de fraicheur en plus. Je recommande totalement!

Professional barbers in a funky and cool atmosphere. They have a good area and we'll trained barbers. I got my haircut from Phillips. 100% would recommend, gave me a great cut.

Clean, super friendly, and extremely professional. I showed Kevin a photo of mine and asked him to cut my hair like in the photo. He took a look at the photo for a couple of seconds and then meticulously gave me a haircut that was exactly what I was expecting. A true professional.
