I made reservations for my birthday and was seated practically next to the bathrooms, and I asked to be moved and was told they're all booked, find it so hard to believe considering it had two floors. I should've left. The food on top of it was mediocre, but the ambiance was nice. I don’t think I'll go back

The food really was amazing! Good vibes with the music and decorations. Great variety of cocktails drinks that will be served by a joyful staff! If you go for the bar service ask for Lea!

This is my first review since I bite my tongue on many instances but the group experience on the 30th was not to standard, I worked in the field as a busboy and waiter so I usually give the waiters and services the “benefit of the doubt” but Il tell you my experience (in a group) and you come to your own conclusion:

1st: we had a reservation at 8: 30pm for 16 and got seated at 9: 15pm (Il give them the benefit of doubt)

2nd: they did not have enough seats for the amount we specifically reserved (Il also give them the benefit of the doubt)

3rd: it took us 3 hours to get our main dishes served (after appetizers which came an hour and half after we settled our orders) (not to standard)

4th: the music was so loud you couldn’t talk to your neighbour without screaming but we should of done our research

5th: the portions were less then acceptable (we also should have done our research)

6th desert was served along our bills (not the standard a restaurant should work on)

Overall: like previously mentioned, I tend to bite my tongue on many instances but this isn’t to standard to what the value your are expected to give off as a restaurant, It was disappoint since I’ve told my friends about this amazing spot (used to go here in the past) but the service has gone down, as of now, It will be hard to be convinced otherwise about the service of the 30th but I am opened to give you a second chance if the quality and standard changes, hopefully anyone reading this (who is planing a bday or large groups setting) considers this review as a “client be aware” post and go with your discussion,

Menu de groupe ordinaire, prix très élevés pour ce que ça vaut. Je ne comprends pas le hype autour de ce resto. Beau décor mais service exécrable.

I’m going to write an e-mail about this to have some kind of compensation.

1. You guys charge for a service regarding cutting the cake. There was no information regarding that price. Only upon arrival 3$ per person in my case it would’ve been 33$. I spoke with someone up front they told me it would be free since I wasn’t aware. At the end we had to do ourselves because somehow the information was not transmitted to our waitress. They refuse to give us a spatula to help us cut the cake.

2. One of the invites ordered a salmon and they forgot to bring it. When it came the salmon wasn’t even cooked inside.

3.2 of our invites ordered steak and we paid the 35$ for it and we got a “bavette” instead of a steak.

Our waitress was the only sweet and attentive person it wasn’t her fault. But the cooking was awful… the portion were very small for the people who ordered the “steak” which at the end was a “bavette”.

Nice vibe but boy has food changed. Portions changed, quality and taste changed. Unfortunate because the resto itself so nice and the drinks but the food no longer a reason to go

Amazing service! The waitress was constantly making sure our table was happy with everything. Pad Thai was great I would also recommend getting the thai fried shrimp. The restaurant’s atmosphere and music was very enjoyable.

Décor époustouflant, excellente musique… Les plats étaient top et généreux (salade au poulet croustillant, et curry vert -> pour amateurs d’épicé) ; nos trois cocktails étaient bien dosés, originaux, pas trop sucrés; ma seule déception était la crème glacée à l’ananas, trop sucrée, bof.
J’y retournerais avec grand plaisir entre amies:)

Ambiance was really cool. We were part of a group so had to order from the group menu, $65 for an entree and main but I added $50 to get the 24oz Tomahawk. They brought me a thin sad looking rib steak which was ridiculous for $115. Sent it back without any problem, had the mango salad as an entree and it was really good. Also got a pitcher of Sangria which cost $48 and was mostly ice, I think we got 3 wine glasses out of it and there wasn't much alcohol in it either

Great service, good food loved all tha5 I tried. Spring rolls, Shrimps, pad thai was really good.

Went there on a Sat evening. Nice hip place with a live dj playing. Staff was A1. Drinks were good, our group tried the exotic tequila or rum drinks. Unfortunately some of the food was downright terrible. Chicken wings, shrimps, and steak were good. Remixed fries were just ok. The next 2 dishes were barely edible. Maybe the cook had covid and lost his sense of smell and taste. Only flavor I could taste from the duck tacos is salt. The general tao, disgustingly sweet. The rice that came with it, tasted like salt. I would go back for drinks, a big pass on the food although some of it was good, nothing spectacular.

Si vous avez envie de vivre une expérience différente, c'est l'endroit! L'ambiance, le service et la nourriture était incroyable, sans parler du style rétro épatant! Pour une date, soirée entre amis ou avec la famille, il y a en pour tout les goût!

If you’re a lover of good food and a good atmosphere, you won’t find better. The restaurant is like stepping into a giant nostalgic hug. The bar is like a Time Capsule of my youth, and the walls are filled with tributes to the same era.

The food is a yes. The menu is playful and bright while being absolutely serious in its execution. They clearly take pride in their ingredients and presentation. Each dish was fresh with expertly balanced flavours - honouring its origins.

While enjoying our beautiful meal, we were served drinks a mixologist would love. The cocktails are just as fun and serious as the food. I’d just ask your server to bring you their favourite and you won’t be disappointed.

Walking in to the basketball court with the best 90s music playing in the background - you will be greeted by kind service in the best atmosphere in old Montreal.

Huge thank you to everyone at The Farsides. I can’t believe it took me this long to come, but I’ll definitely be back soon. Cheers!

Delicious food - we all had something different and all was good. Drinks were fun… to sweet and not much alcohol. The vibe and decor was much better, staff were great …. Very enjoyable evening

For my first experience after seeing a post from a friend on IG, I just want to say that I am blown away! From the friendly welcome to the drink, food and dessert, I just want to say WOW! If anyone knows me, I love hip-hop and rnb music. The vibe was everything! The plates were colorful and tasted all AMAZING! Let's talk about that dessert, the homemade ice cream.pure JOY! I enjoy a good restaurant and with the way I'm going, I'll never be rich? , but at least I'll die happy! Until next time! ️

Cocktails are good and also the food. The atmosphere are very funky and trendy (lots of Japanese animation decor). But a little bit pricey for what we had. It's a good place for inspired Hawaiian cuisine.

The place is fire. Went there for my birthday with some friends. We started outside with Arianne who took care of us. She is amazing. Then we finished at the bar. The cocktail that Joyce made were soooo good. Insane food, perfect drinks and amazing service. Will be back next time I’m in Montreal.

I was here yesterday with a group of 13. I love the ambiance and the staffs are great! I was disappointed for the foods. They were so salted that i can't eat my whole plate!

Reso for 9. Seated at 9: 20. Currently 11: 44 and still waiting for apps. Avoid this place at all costs. They are in over their heads. 80% of the guests are still waiting for their food. Cool place. Nice vibe. Horrible experience and service.

The restaurant was a bit slow last night. Food took a long time. But the service more than made up for it! Despite the kitchen not delivering as usual, KARELLA was sweet, patient, incredibly empathetic and always with a smile:)
She saved the night!

Worst service ever, we had to go and ask them to serve us, when they came they had the worst attitude, but the place is cool and they have good music too, definetly the place will improve if they offer better service.

Mediocre, un espèce de fake everything, fake Tiki fake food, rempli de call girls qui attendent leurs clients? Bon c'est le weekend du grand prix. Un peu tristounet. A éviter comme la peste.

To the Farsides; I wanted to personally thank you for the outstanding service at the Selwyn House party on Friday, especially having to wait two years after Covid for this special celebration. You went above and beyond for us. We are getting rave reviews for all the students and parents. Everything was exceptional, from the sunshine, to the food, unique outdoor atmosphere, service and professional staff. Absolutely wonderful

I came with my boyfriend and a friend yesterday. We really enjoyed our experience. We took the chef’s platter, the shrimps were not too good but the rest was amazing. We loved the pad thai on our platter so much that we then ordered 2 pad thais, one lobster and one chicken, both were super yummy. The manager, Mike, is the absolute best. He described to us all the decor, all collectibles and most having a connection to the 90s era, it’s super cool. If you have any issues, ask for Mike, he will make sure to take care of whatever isn’t satisfactory for you.

Horrible service, we got here at 5: 30 and the place was empty and now it's 9: 00 and we asked 3 people for the bill and we're still waiting after having being done eating for more than 1 hour.horrible

Love this place! Went for my cousin's b-day and staff was amazing and accommodating. Ariane and Margot were amazing waitresses but Zack made our night. He was great. 5 star food was good with great ambiance. The doorman was amazing too. Great place!

Grand Prix Week end, took 1h to get drinks, we reserved and pre paid. Took 2h to get food, bad service overall. Big props to the water boy, was really nice and comprehensive.

I went there for a company gathering and although the interior design and ambience were fun and pleasant, the food and service wasn’t great. It took a long wait to get served between orders. The food was overpriced and not really worth it. The tacos were greasy and plain. The fries were tiny and soaked in oil. I wouldn’t go back with friends. Not even for drinks. The cocktail I ordered was okay, but not worth the price tag, for sure.

The ambiance, the food, the drinks, and the music. This place is really fun and the manager was so kind! I came with a few friends and had an exceptional night! Definitely booking again soon!

It's been a week now since our company hosted our event at Fareside and employees are still talking about this night! The food was delicious, the variety offered was on point. The DJ, serving staff - everyone ensured our event was a success. Despite the rain later in the evening, the venue made sure we had adequate seating outside covered from the rain. Working with Patricia (Dir. Corporates Events) made everything seamless. We strongly recommend this venue and cannot wait to host our next event!

Let me start by saying that the place once you come in it’s impressive and very beautiful but that’s about it! Very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food honestly because I had higher expectations from a place that “well” rated.first of all the staff service was horrible the girl (Erika) barely came to our table most of the time I had to call her over just for us to get service and it wasn’t that busy we arrived at 6pm on a Sunday! Let’s not forget that they mentioned twice that we only had the table for 2hrs very rudely. Now for the food we waited 45min after we ordered.once we got it let’s begin with my friends steak was way undercooked, my braised beef rib was way too hard and the pad Thai that my other friend took was tasteless. Ohh and the fact how expensive the drinks and everything else is was shocking I never complain but this has to be by far my worst experience in a restaurant and believe me I’ve been to a hundreds of them even higher quality in Montreal.anyways I do not recommend!

If you go there, DO NOT EAT. The food is super expensive and tastes SOO BAD. I've never had food bad like this except for my trip to Cuba. It lacks flavor and everything lacks salt. Even the drinks taste like water.

Très déçue du service. La serveuse ne savait pas répondre à nos questions et m'a facturé un cocktail sans alcool au même prix qu'un cocktail avec alcool. Quand je lui ai dit, elle disait qu'elle ne savait pas comment changer cela et n'a même pas essayé de se renseigner. Aucun effort de sa part.

The decor is so much fun! The food and mixed drinks were amazing. Service was good. Def will be back!

Je suis allée un samedi soir et nous étions une vingtaine.
Le positif: si vous aimez le hip hop des années 90, la musique sera à votre goût. La serveuse était très gentille et patiente. Belle ambiance en général.
Le négatif: nous étions obligés de commander du menu de groupe où les choix sont réduits. Les rouleaux et le pad thaï étaient bons sans plus. Le taco manquait de sauce et le gâteau au fromage était décevant. Ne commandez surtout pas de sangrias…elles ne goûtent absolument rien et coûtent un bras. J’ai demandé d’ajouter du Sprite dans mon Gin and Juice et je garantie que c’est de l’eau Pierrer qui a été ajoutée. Bref, malheureusement tout le monde a été déçu de l’expérience. Peut-être que le reste du menu est mieux.

This place is absolutely amazing. The thai style cuisine is very flavourful and the portions are good. The remix fries, duck tacos and mo butta fish are a must. The drinks are amazing and very unique. I tried the Shook One and it was delicious! Our waitress Joyce was fantastic! She made sure we never missed anything and gave us great recommendations. The music a mix of hip hop and r&b made everyone dance and sing along. The vibes of this place are insane and the terrasse will definitely be my to go spot this summer!

Aussitôt que nous rentrons dans le restaurant, on se sent aussitôt envahi par une ambiance à la New-York. Très beau décors, le staff est très attentionnée et la cuisine est comme on me l’avait décrite, délicieuse! Je vais y retourner c’est certain
