The Gryphon D'Or Tea Room

First time and didn't know what to expect! Food was great especially their fresh baked scones with whiskey marmalade. Shared pictures are 2 portions which cost 60$ (30$ each) total. This included the tea of choice and scones which you can ask for more at no charge I believe but I could be wrong. They do have a brunch menu which is around 15$-20$ from what I saw.
Nice selection of tea like the ginger peach and dragon green tea. They also have coffee and hot chocolate.
I recommend to call and reserve as the place has only 5 tables from what I saw.
Note that they don't have high chairs or boosters for kids. The only thing I find is that the table is small for 4 people but I believe it's because we got the table that was in a very tight spot and I had no arm room so I felt a little uncomfortable.
I do want to say that the service was excellent as they took their time to explain and were checking from time to time if everything was okay.

We love this place so much we came back to Montreal just to have high tea there. We are visiting from Florida and staying in Vermont. We came to Montreal for the day and had to go back. We came here in 2018 and loved it so much so we had to come back. Crystal and Donna are so nice and helpful. And our server Murphy was very nice as well. The food is excellent and the different types of tea are so delicious! The scones here are to die for too! I love their Almond Cherry tea and their raspberry jam. Everything was so yummy! The atmosphere is very nice and quaint and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be returning if we come back to Montreal again. We hope to see you at your new garden location. What a gem! An unassuming and unpretentious little place with the friendliest staff and some seriously delicious scones. The homemade condiments were very, very tasty (as in lick the spoon) and the high tea was a nice little mix of sweet and savory. They are on my list of places to visit the next time I'm in town. The lunch combo also looked good and I really appreciated that they had several vegetarian options for guests. Love this place and highly recommend it for its cozy vibes and homemade food.

This restaurant is my favorite place to go in Montreal. Home made absolutely delicious food every time. So fresh and I'm always impressed. I highly recommend this cute little gem on Monkland Avenue. Sidenote: Best Afternoon High Tea too!

Everyone who tries an afternoon tea here will keep coming back. You get amazing tea, tea sandwiches, scones and desserts made on site by the owner and her staff. The service is better than in all restaurants I have ever eaten at, possibly combined. So humble, so kind, so perfect. This is my tradition Place. I have been reticent to post because I didn’t want to share this gem in Monkland Village to always have a seat but the owner and the staff deserve the support. Try the Gryphon D’or and you will be forever hooked.

Intricately crafted dishes with stellar and friendly service, from chicken pot pie to scones, a treat that never ends. Reserve in advance for brunch. Very very highly recommended for the snobbish tastebuds to enjoy.

I had such a lovely experience here as always. The service is lovely and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. Food was delicious and home made. I had the chicken pot pie with scone and soup. Also comes with a little dessert at the end (also made in house). Really can’t beat the taste, service and price. Must try for all!

Petit menu brunch, tout est tellement bon que ça devrait être illégal. Tout est fait maison, l’ambiance est chaleureuse, grand choix de thé, les recettes sont uniques, riches et délicieuses. Secret bien gardé!

The best lunch in NDG! Highly recommended. They are busy, it is always a good idea to make a reservation ahead of time. But don't be afraid to walk in and ask.

The tea and scones are a must to try. You won't regret it.

We had a little event at the Gryphon D'Or and could not have been more pleased! We had looked at other venues but none compared to the Gryphon D'Or in terms of their customer service. They were so accommodating, flexible and friendly! The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The food is exquisite! Generous portions, great variety, excellent quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this little gem of a place!
