The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Musée banal, je ne sais pas quoi en penser. Il ne s'y dégage rien.
On dirait qu'il fallait un musée des beaux arts à Montréal et on en a mis un, même si il a plus de 150 ans et qu'il est dans un bâtiment récent.
On dirait un copier coller de musée standard.
4 étage dont beaucoup se ressemblent mais il y a quelques pièces qui m'ont plu et j'ai bien aimé Phenix!
Entrée chère! Plus vous êtes vieux plus vous payez, il n'y a pas de tarif pour les +65ans.

They closed up few sections and 2 buildings unfortunately when I went there but still worthy to spend my time there.

Très beau musée, qui devrait encore plus faire place au réalisme car les toiles proposées sur ce thème étaient magnifiques tout comme les parties anthropologique sur l'Égypte.

Great range of exhibitions, accessible and with friendly staff. You could spend a lot of time here!

Attended the art class with kids, o loved it, made me want to go see the bird exhibition but unfortunately there wasn't time for that afterward. The instructors were super nice and so sweet with the kids and very clear in instructions as well as helpful.

I absolutely love the architecture of the museum. All the spaces are different, the play of light and shadows arouses different emotions. The time I went they had a great selection of artworks and indigenous art from South America.

Loved it! This is definitely one of the best art museums I've been to. It's enormous! We were there for many hours and I still think we didn't see everything. It's almost entirely accessible, and I saw people in wheelchairs. I highly recommend visiting it. The museum staff members are friendly and helpful.

We went when the international arts section was closed for renovation, which significantly took away from our experience. It was bad timing as the exhibits we saw were good but few. Four+ floors in the Canadian arts section seems like a lot but the rooms are small. Temporary exhibits were interesting.

Extremely well organized.online tkts, staff available to usher you in and provide guidance. Several galleries, well documented information (English and French) on the artists, genre, the period and influences.can easily spend half a day there. A must visit in Montreal. Parking is tricky and has to be found in the adjoining streets.

We went there to see Riopelle’s Exposition, it was good, it has many rooms with the paintings. As we had already bought out tickets, we got in quickly. Very nice!

The place was almost closed. Many of the exhibitions weren't open for a visit. We however were not told this at the time that we bought our tickets.

Quand allez vous osez exposer ZÏLON celui qui a ouvert la porte du street art ici au Québec/Canada dans les années 70 vas t on attendre qu’il soit mort pour lui rendre hommage? Me semble que nous avons en masse de contenu pour en faire une exposition de béton!

I always enjoyed visiting this museum! Do not miss it if you are in Montreal or you are travelling there.
Lots of things to visit and learn!

Très bon musée et belles expositions. Petite déception cependant car de nombreuses expositions étaient fermées lors de notre passage.
