Tissy's Bistro - Authentic Thai Food

Tissy catered for my husband’s 65th birthday party. It was extraordinary. Thank you Tissy for the delicious meals and for going the extra step to make his birthday special.

I hate that I even have to write this review as the food is actually good. Service is extremely disorganized and at the rate they were serving and could not handle it, they should have been turning away orders. 5 of us went here on Saturday and ordered. We were told there would be a 40 minute wait which was fine. After 1 hour 2 people in my party received their orders. These 2 people started to eat and she proceeded to tell us that we can't eat at the restaurant. But all of us have not even received our food? She then "allowed" us to eat at the table. 10 minutes after that, the other 2 received their order. I asked when my food would come and was told "soon". 10 minutes later, I still have no food and as we are getting late for our next engagement, I asked for my money back. She gladly agreed which made it clear that they probably forgot about my order and had not even started to make my food. I counted my money and realized she did not give me my tip back. I asked her and she didn't even pretend like she "forgot" to give me my tip, and basically acknowledged that she did not give me back the tip on purpose. I found that very interesting and unfortunate; why would she try to keep my tip for horrible service and when I did not even receive my food? I felt like I was being tricked. They should have provided more compensation for the wait and inconvenience, such as a free voucher and they should not have made my pay for my iced tea that I ordered as well for the inconvenience. The service was abhorrent and the restaurant really needs to work on this.

Tom Yum was amazing with a generous amount of shrimp.
The seasonings all blended well together.
One thing I would’ve liked to have had was bean sprouts in the soup to add density. Otherwise the mushrooms were not over cooked and the tomatoes just right!

Amazing Thai food. Found them on skip the dishes and decided to order. One of the best Thai restaraunts in Montreal.

Highly recommended! The food is the star. Best Thai food in forever! The staff are very accommodating. They were busy, but when engaged them (asking menu questions e.g. That I preferred vegetables to tofu - so they accommodated my preference) they were super nice and became very chatty. They also accommodated my ask to taste their Panang curry, and when I asked about the green mango v green papaya salads they brought out a plate with a few julienned or each. The curries were awesome, most memorable since my very first red curry (TIL it was probably actually Panang)! Parking is a breeze and free, and while there is not much seating inside, they have tables on the patio, and it is super nice. Tip: the goyza are possible, but special order only.

As a native Thai, I know what I am looking for when it comes to Thai food, especially outside Thailand. Tissy's Bistro does not disappoint me at all. Our family favourites are spring rolls (the best!), fried rice (also the best!), pad thai, green curry, papaya salad, Thai styled pork, Thai pork salad, Tom Yum Kung, and Thai basil pork. The taste of the food here is like in Thailand. Highly recommended!

This family run Thai restaurant in Beaconsfield is probably one of the most authentic Thai restaurants on the island of Montreal. Excellent versions of Thai classics, and reasonable prices make this place a go-to location. I would easily travel 25 km to get to this restaurant.

The one confusing item on the menu is the laarb which is not served with the usual lettuce leaves to wrap it up.

I ordered foods for dinner but got some urgent issue, I couldn't pick up them before resto was close.
Next day I called them to make a new order. Surprisingly, they still keep the order for me without my chance to inform or ask for. The foods still amazing as usual. I will definitely going back!

Love their Pad Thai, chicken cashew nut, and mango Sticky rice.

This place is amazing! Immediately became a favourite for my family from our first order, and we cannot get enough of it since - ordered probably a dozen times already! Kids love it as much as the adults.
Super clean place, mouthwateringly tasty food and very friendly service. There's no mistaking that they use the freshest and high quality ingredients.
Our top favourites include spring rolls with chicken, pork BBQ skewers, gyoza, tom yum kung soup (omg the flavor!) and cashew chicken (always ordering two because some of us refuse to share this one, hahaha).
So fortunate to have them right here in Beaconsfield!

What a wonderful dinner! Why has it taken me so long to discover this super Thai restaurant. Everything was fresh, perfectly prepared and flavourful. And I ordered almost everything on the menu. The double order of Spring rolls disappeared as soon as it was presented on the table. Well done!

Omg, the food here is beyond amazing. Very authentic and delicious Thai food! The pad Thai and mango sticky rice tasted so fresh and flavourful! The portion is very generous, we will be coming back for sure!

We were in Beaconsfield visiting and had to try Tissy’s. It did not disappoint! The spring rolls were delicious, the pad thai was the best we’ve ever had. The crushed chilis (direct from Thailand!) came on the side so we could make it as spicy as we liked. The cashew chicken was perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes were very generous. Can’t wait to visit again!
