Tru-India

I availed the services of Tru-India restaurant in 2022. I mostly ordered spiceless peas pulao. The food was reasonably priced and of very good quality. Amit the owner and his nephew Devansh were very good hosts. The ambience of the restaurant was great. Amit wouldn't mind if I stayed a few minutes more for watching soccer or tennis match highlights!

Had very good lamb rogan josh with juicy butter naan and an exzellent milkshake. The server was super hospitable and recommended which items go well together on the menu. Definitely recommend!

This was a nice Indian restaurant we had lunch today. Food was Great, very Tasty. Friendly & Quick Service. Very Reasonable Price Range.

If you like Indian food even just a little… run don’t just walk here. Well I guess you can walk but do go here. The flavors are some of the best in the world as is the food quality and preparation.
I have eaten Indian food in 6 countries (but still not India yet…unfortunately) and this is one my top three favorites ever!
Even the chai tea was amazing and that can sometimes not be the best.

So delicious, good prices and very nice service! Highlights were the butter chicken and kulcha

Excellent restaurant Once I called in just 5 minutes before they were closing and they were kind enough to make the food for me at the end of the night. Best tasting choole bhature. Excellent and kind staff. Thank you for being gentle and polite.

I have only ordered through uber eats, I love the food especially the mango lassi, the best lassi i ever had in montreal

Great restaurant! Vwry tastey indian food! Took the chicken tikka and samosas. They were very tastey. I had a great time and the service was excellent!

I had a wonderful experience in this restaurant. First of all the place was clean. The person in front was friendly and welcoming. The cook was also nice and clean. Food was served fast although I’m not too sure if that would still be the case if the place was packed. The food was great! I ordered butter chicken, Tandoori chicken legs, rice, and my favorite Mango Lassi drink which I ordered twice coz I like it so much. The service was good and the prices are very reasonable. Although the resto is located in the basement that you don’t get to have a view and could feel a bit claustrophobic the place is definitely well-lit. It’s also not accessible to PWDs or those in wheelchairs as there was no ramp in sight. I do hope people would support this business so they can move to a ground level place. Overall I had a good experience and would definitely go back.

Picked up dinner tonight. The butter chicken had a horrible smell and tasty like it had gone bad a few days ago. I ate a few bites and had to throw it out. Highly recommend avoiding this restaurant. Seemed very unsanitary inside as well when I went to pick up the food.

I ordered samosas, butter chicken and shrimp tandoori. Samosas were very good, butter chicken were horrible. Chicken is hard and the sauce is sour. The shrimp tandoori is actually not bad.

The staffs were very hospitable. They have a variety of Indian breads and includes the ones with stuffing inside. The paneer was quite fresh in the palak gravy. And thank you to the team for a delicious meal.

Really great food and the people there are really friendly
(P. S: The Tandoori Shrimp and Sheek Kabab is a must try!)
