Good service. Good place to hang out with friends. Not to loud so you can actually talk to your friends

I've tried to give this place a few tries now (seen as it's a local bar) but it is overpriced & the service is always hit or miss, as well as having an uptight atmosphere.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and our server Amanda made it a 5 Star experience. She gave excellent recommendations and was super attentive! We loved the fancy cocktails and variety of beer on tap. The terrace is huge and has great vibes. Good people watching on the street into the evening. I will bring visitors here for sure.

Food wasn’t bad but the server with the accent was very rude, wasn’t kind what so ever and came back to rudely confront me about the tip we left him.

Love the vibe in this place. We had nachos that were old and stale. The tomatoes were very sour. It’s an easy fix… It was truly disappointing. There were 5 of us that all got cocktails which were sub par.
Service was friendly and gracious as always.

Our experience in this place is the highlight of our trip! Had so many shots with friends and the bill was surprisingly cheap. It was even as if we rented the whole place as we were the only customers left and we were literally dancing on the floor. We partied with the waiters (Steve and Meghan) and the manager (Claire). They took shots with us and literally made our whole experience as lit and as fun as possible. Will definitely be back here again before we leave Montreal and for when we come back!

Wide range of delicious cocktails at reasonable pricing. Did find service to be a bit slow though.

A nice terrasse to while away some time on a sunny day.good beers on tap and a full menu of cocktails! Watch the neighbours and hear lots of English, although the servers are all delightfully bilingual.

Horrible horrible service. I met with a friend at Typhoons after work. It was ten to 4, and the girl didn't let us in as don't open until 4pm. No big deal, we went to Pharmaprix until 4. We had a few drinks and some appetizers. After our plates were cleared, there was a cockroach crawling across our table. I killed it with our menus - my friend let out a little scream, and the waitress came over. She cleaned up the dead bug, and told us that she's Australian so bugs aren't a big deal. No apology. She didn't comp our meal or drink - we aren't the super fussy type so we paid our bill (she completely ignored us for 30 minutes after the bug incident).
I will never go back to this establishment. If the roaches at your table aren't a huge deal to the staff, I cannot imagine what is happening in the back.

This is usually my neighbourhood hang out, however it will no longer be. Meghan the server we had tonight placed the wrong order (which she confirmed correctly) and then brought the reverse to the table. She then proceeded to argue with us for a good 5 minutes. When we placed another order to rectify the situation she proceeded to spill the pitcher of sangria on one of the people in our group. That was the last straw. She was so rude and argumentative.

I’ve been going to Typhoon for over twenty years. Unfortunately last week I had the worst experience ever. The waitress was rude and inhospitable. Couldn’t wait to pay and get out of there.

A great place for drinks any night of the week in NDG on Monkland. They have a great terrace in the warmer months of the year. The selection of drinks is great and there is a good selection of food. The staff is very friendly.

A bit hard to predict the crowd. Sometimes rowdy, sometimes relaxed. Sometimes empty, sometimes way too full. But the burgers are definitely worth a stop, and the staff is generally very nice!

I was there last Thursday and had terrible customer service with Marriana. I've been coming to Typhoon for years. And lately, the service has become unacceptable.

Super great and friendly staff. Good music. People are very down to earth in this bar. It has its charm but it would not be a place for your first date. It had a great atmosphere but runs on the grundgy side. Supposedly the wing night on wednesday is incredible.

Menu is only in French. Waitresses are rude. Drinks had little to no taste to them. Only accept cash or credit, no debit. Didn’t make for a great night. Not the place it used to be. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Generally like the place. Last time I went for the 5 à 7 and was trying to get the attention of the server for another drink. When I paid my bill I realized that I had been charged the regular fee. Guess it was because by the time it got to the table it was past 7pm.

It's a nice place to spend a Friday evening. Inside with great music or outside when weather is great. Crowd is great as well

Great atmosphere, zach the awesome conversationalist and bartender, Marianne the awesome intelligent and beautiful waitress has an amazing talent to make people smile with her great attitude and smiles. 5 TV's for sports lovers, bar stuils, terrace and tables for all to be seated.

I have been to Typhoon many times. Have even had appetizers and drinks on their terrace. I love their Sangria.
I now send my adult children to enjoy it.

Typhoon is lit all the way up. The staff is superb. I love, love, loooooooove Marianna. Super kind super amazing at her job. And she is tons of fun. I recommend you all run down to typhoon & chill with Marianna. Take care.

They play great music, they play basketball on the tv's (not just hockey)! Definitely a go to landmark on Monkland. See you there

It’s a cool place if you don’t mind it being a bit dirty and grimy. The Diet Coke is not real Diet Coke, tastes bitter like fake soda!

Hosted a birthday party of 30 people and Mike really took care of us. Spend lots of time going back and forth on all the details beforehand and his suggestions were perfect. The food was absolutely wonderful. Fish tacos, general tao cauliflower, dumplings, chicken wings and mini poutines were raved about all night. Megan did an excellent job of taking care of us from 8pm until almost closing. The DJ was on point and the ambiance was perfect. The guys even got to watch the hockey game. Hadn’t been there in over 15years and I can’t wait to make this a regular spot. Totally recommend this place.

The food was good. Just found they took to many shortcuts on the little things.

Great place to have a drink and grab a bite. The decor is a pretty cool, low light relaxed ambience. Calm and easy in the early evenings and it gets busy and a little wild on the weekend evenings which is a good thing. The staff is very charming, extremely pleasant and attentive to make sure you're always good. Good job!

Great spot for a night out in Monkland Village! The food is awesome, and the staff is great, especilly Vanessa! Their tacos can’t be beat, and everybody greets you with a smile when you walk through the door. I’ll be hanging out here with my friends again, for sure!
