I rented a truck one-way Montreal to NJ. The place was big and clean. Staff was very nice, helpful and patient. However, My pickup experience was a bit long. I do not know if the problem was from the reservation platform or from that place, but it took over 20mins to finally give me the rental at the price at had booked it. Apparently my reservation had been upgraded to a 20', but then got back to the 15' I had originally booked. This created a mess in their system. Honestly, probably the headquarter of uHaul was at fault, but I am removing one star since it took so long to fix it. I ended up paying a bit more than I was supposed to, but on a $1000+ rental, who is going to waste time over a $10-20 surcharge?
I would still recommend people going there, hopefully I was just one exception.

Terrible customer service, and attitudes. Long waits, even when there are no other customers.
Told there is no elevator for the second floor. They want to charge us for a second key that we never received (they misplaced it).

Everything went smootly with them, gave me the best rate even after going over my estimated rental. Would use their services again.

I rented a truck that had pre existing damage on it that I didn’t notice and I got charged for it. I’m going through their review process now. All I can assume is one of their employees or a previous client dinged the front bumper and they missed it when checking it over or wanted to put the blame on the next client. (Me)

The equipment was good however.the gas policy of bringing it back 7/8 full is ridiculous.for simplicity sake, just give the truck at gas full and return it at full.no way can you gauge what is exactly 7/8 full.and as I suspected they disputed my 7/8 full and tried to charge me additional fees for gas.this is a system set up to nickel and dime the customer.

I wish I could give zero stars. Deplorable service, they should be ashamed. I have been working on making a reservation for a week now and every step of the way is painful and the people you speak to on the phone are all SO rude. They talk back and the last person just hung up on me. I used to rent from them frequently and there were no issues - one day rentals, reserve the truck where you need it, easy peasy. Now it's 3 day minimum rentals, you have to call and ask (AFTER booking your reservation) that the truck be at your desired location, then they tell you maybe, maybe not. Now they called and told me my reserved truck is going to be 30min away from where I asked it to be and then they ask for a pick up time and if I'm more than an hour later than my scheduled time they can give the truck away. So I wanted a truck at X location with return 24hrs later and now I have to go get it at Y location (30+ min away and let's not forget that gas is almost $2/L.) and that if I don't show up on time they give the truck away (not to mention they are calling for freezing rain all day on the day of pick up). That and she hung up on me before I could ask about whether or not they have moving blankets etc for purchase at the location. Infuriating. Honestly this company has gone down the toilet in the past 2yrs. Save yourself the hassle and rent from anyone else. Just shameful. SO so so rude and useless.

I have rented from this U-Haul location many times in the past - always with great service and reasonable prices.but it appears to be under new management and based on my most recent experience I will not be returning.

I wanted to rent a truck during moving season, and was shocked to find that the prices had more than quadrupled! While I recognize that demand is higher at the end of June, I really do find it offensive when businesses try to gouge consumers by taking advantage of a need and raising their prices to such an extent that it is nothing but exploitative and opportunistic.

In addition to the ludicrous prices, the store was short-staffed with only ONE employee (who seemed to be the manager/owner) available to help clients. I wanted to simply purchase a few moving boxes, but had to wait more than 20 minutes while he served a client who was renting a truck and had numerous questions. My transaction would have take no more than a couple of moments to complete, but he ignored me until I asked if I could just pay for the boxes, when he rudely told me I'd have to wait until he was done. When he proceeded to go outside with the other client, I left. Having to wait that long just to buy a couple of boxes is unacceptable.

I may not have been renting a truck that day, but I was a repeat client who had rented trucks from this location multiple times each year when I did trade shows for my business. NEVER AGAIN.

Incredibly ignorant service.
Completely useless, the person at the counter tried 3 times to make a reservation without asking me if my credit card was a prepaid, the UHaul HeadQuarters couldn't care less about this incompetence. All the service they are capable of giving is to take your money.
Wasted an hour of my morning.
Oh yeah, in the middle of this screw up the Uhaul representative told me that I should go to Budget, that it is easier there.
Unreal.
