The fuel gauge was in between two marks. At the time of pick up they made it to next in contract and when I drop off at same level in between two marks, they made it to previous one and charged me for 15 litres. It’s a big scam lol

I can say that it was the best U-hal place we've ever been to here in Montreal region. It's very well located - at least for us who live in Laval and are moving to Châteauguay. The team has THE BEST customer service team, in addition to the dog (I believe it belongs to one of the employees), who comes to greet each customer, and he is very cute! I really recommend it!

Réservation annulé, modifie la veille par téléphone.arrive sur place pour récupérer mon truck impossible de self pickup quand la ou le manager arrive 2heures après on me dit gentillement que c’est juste pas possible et va falloir partir.inadmissible venant d‘une entreprise comme U-Haul.je conseil a personne d’y aller si vous voulez être sûr que tout fonctionne.

Bon pour courte distance sinon.le camion en mauvais état, consommation excessive d'essence ca coute une fortune en gaz et surtout pour chaque miles parcouru, u haul ne font plus de bloc de distance comme auparavant de 100 ou 200 km, j'ai parcouru 208 miles a 1,43 du miles plus location plus gaz plus assurance, totale 332 km pour 394$ et 115$ de gaz.la meme facture coutait 250 en 2018.la pandémie a le dos large!

Please don’t visit this site. They give insurance with rental truck without asking to us. And insurance cost 20$. Which will cost you more. Don’t trust them. Otherwise you will be also spammed by them.

Excellent service sur place, mais j’ai été mis en attente plus de 25 minutes sur la ligne alors j’ai raccroché, j’étais rendu. Pourtant, il n’y avait pas d’achalandage. Sinon, la location de remorque est abordable et très pratique.

Not just another UHaul, the team cares about the customers and help everywhere they can. Daniel and Steve took good care of me with my trailer and rental unit, even with a password that didn’t work, quickly remedied. I’m a returning customer and will come back!

I simply loved working for U-Haul until my entire world was crushed by regional managers and big head honchos who haven’t a clue about customer relationships or their employees morale and how both can affect the profitability of any certain location.
Everyone deserves to be treated equally and the way this location has been changed has increased it’s popularity amongst the down to earth lower middle class whom starve for respect from their peers. Montreal west u-haul is the original store, founded in 1971, should be treated with the respect it deserves and not flattened to the ground by big business storage facilities. It should be considered as part of our heritage, certainly after three generations of clientele that frequent our location. What a shame to let protocol destroy the very fabric of salesmanship and company representation.
Mom and Pop stores leave us one at a time, so sad.

Installation was scheduled for noon (the earliest available option when scheduling online). When we arrived at noon, we were told that the technician would only be able to begin on our car at 2PM. When we returned at 2PM, the same technician told us that he was still not ready and to return between 3 and 4PM. We ultimately decided to leave the car overnight and take an Uber home. Not impressed with the scheduling - hire more technicians, or at least call the customers ahead of time to let them know that there are delays. An entire afternoon was wasted. We will not be recommending Uhaul to anyone.

Aucun service a la clientele jai attendu 40min sur la ligne dattente ou jai demander le service en francais jai finallement eu la ligne en anglais et comme jai demander si elle pouvais me servir en francais poliment elle ma renvoyer sur la ligne dattente jai attendu un autre 30min pour finallement raccrocher ecoeurer dattendre

Offrir de faire la réservation en ligne. Se déplacer et finalement devrais payer 115$ de plus pour la même soumission.qui pourtant était bien clair
Au lieu de juste respecter le prix envoyer via leur site web

Reservé un camion au mois de Mai, ce matin U-Haul qui me dit: " hey, salut, ouinn bah j'en ai pas de camion arrange toi, l'autre 20' dans la cours est reservé a quelqu'un d'autre ‍️"

I had a trailer hitch installed. It can be hard to get through to the office by phone, but the hitch installer takes pride in his work and is very helpful. Excellent installation service.

J'ai acheté un attache-remorque et réservé un rendez-vous en ligne 2 semaines à l'avance. Fin de la bonne expérience. Depuis, rendez-vous reporté et personne ne répond au téléphone chez ce concessionnaire. Je souhaite être remboursé mais il n'y a pas moyen de communiquer avec eux et le centre d'appel de Uhaul est inutile à cet effet. À éviter.

J’ai reçu mon remboursement depuis. Aucun message d’explication.

*** SCAM: Do not try rent storage here***. Reserved storage online along with a truck, took the day off work. We even called u-Haul to confirm. Upon arrival to pick up the truck, we asked where to unload when we come back with our furniture.

We were then told that there is a waiting list for storage space as they are full. Therefore, confirmed reservations mean nothing to U-Haul.

Now we have to find storage elsewhere and will not be using U-Haul again. A total scam.

Pire place au monde. À éviter! J’ai réservé mon camion plus d’un mois à l’avance et organisé mon déménagement autour de la date de réservation (congé, réservation d’ascenseur, amis/famille). Moins de 24h avant, il m’envoie un simple texto pour me dire qu’ils n’ont pas de camion pour moi, même si j’avais une réservation. La seule option était de faire 6h de route pour aller le chercher. Aussi impossible de rejoindre leur service à la clientèle. Sauvez vous le trouble, prenez une autre compagnie de camion.

I visited this branch in early June and booked a truck to move from Montreal to Toronto. After the initial reservation date and before the pickup date, I checked the reservation schedule by visit or over the phone, and I received their reply that the truck would be confirmed on the pickup date and what I had to do was just wait.

However, today when I visited this branch which U-Haul website designated as a pickup location, the day of truck pickup, the manager of this branch replied that there was no truck available. I got a reservation through the branch's staff, and followed the staff's instructions, but in the end I didn't receive the vehicle. I asked the manager what the problem was, but he didn't even explain why.

I'm in a situation where I have to reschedule all my moving plans and appointments and look for other available moving company. With great loss in time and money which can never be covered by the $50 which I may receive by claiming U-haul from now on.

What really disappointed me was the attitude of the manager. He said he was sorry too, however, we could easily read the irresponsibility and brazenness on his face. Even more frustrating was when we asked him for advice on alternatives. He tells us to claim $50 on u-haul, or there's a truck going to Toronto in Rimouski (which I've heard of for the first time today), about a 6 hour drive east from here, so we can go there and check it out for ourselves if we want to. How could such an answer be a realistic alternative to someone who was not assigned a vehicle on the day of the move? There were several cars waiting at the spot, but he said they were all reserved and he couldn't assign us any cars.

I don't enjoy leaving reviews, but I feel the need to share the problem with this branch. When I first encountered the situation, I was angry and even absurd, but now as I write, I have a lot of sympathy for him. I hope he greets customer kindly, handles things clearly, explains exactly what a problem is if a problem arises, and advises on a feasible way to do it and hopes that he finds joy in his work through those things.

A little out of the way, but not too bad since it's off the highway. Be prepared for a long wait time, even if you are early. It's also possible even with a reservation that they overbook which wasn't nice to hear and almost happened to us. I would've given less stars but the equipment itself is perfectly fine, dropping it off is fairly straight forward, and the price is *great*. If they hired a couple more people I think the experience here could vastly improve!

Worst moving experience ever! My truck was reserved for 10am but was delayed 3 hours after my scheduled reservation and the location didn’t have my reserved moving equipment by the time I went to pick it up. I did not receive any notice ahead of time that the truck would be delayed and when I did go to pick up my truck later for the second time after the new scheduled time it still wasn’t ready and I had to wait around even longer for the truck to be checked in and cleaned.

It was my birthday and plans had been made to celebrate in the evening which needed to be cancelled due to me still moving when I thought we would’ve been finished ages before. Not only did they completely ruin my birthday due to their inability to manage reservations and bookings conveniently but I’m also 6 months pregnant and by the time I got my truck the people who were originally available to help me and my partner move were no longer available so my partner and I had to move everything solo. Which is not something a woman 6 months pregnant should be doing.

Furthermore because we started so late and no longer had any help we were unable to move everything into our storage unit before they closed and had to extend the reservation for the truck for another day. What was supposed to be done in 4 hours has taken 2 days. The overall move ended up being significantly longer, stressful and more expensive than if I had just hired movers like I was originally thinking. I WILL NEVER BE RENTING FROM UHAUL AGAIN AND STRONGLY ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO AVOID AN UNNECESSARY HEADACHE DURING AN ALREADY STRESSFUL TIME.

Don’t trust Uhaul and specifically this location at 8101 boul Montreal-Toronto, very irresponsible, rude and unprofessional staff. I would never ever use Uhaul for moving, even if I would need to pay more to other moving companies, I will definitely do it and will never trust Uhaul again. These guys don’t know what they are doing, and there are very high risks they don’t give you a truck the day you plan your moving (even if you reserved weeks in advance) and they simply say the previous client decided not to bring back the truck and we can not do anything for you, believe me, that’s what they do. If you don’t want such headaches, seriously avoid Uhaul.

I just had my worst experience with them. On 21st of Oct. I reserved a 10' truck for 31st of Oct. On 26th of Oct, they texted me that there is a problem with your truck at your preferred addressed, so please go this new address and take your truck. On 31st of Oct. I went to this branch, and they told me your truck is not available, so you can take a van or we can give you 15 $, What? I set everything, I asked two labors for moving and I had to leave my apartment, but they easily told me you truck is not available. I asked for a bigger and more expensive one. But they did not have it as well. Finally I took the Van and it took two times to go and move the stuff. They are so irresponsible. They don't care about your schedule.

Terrible service, and it seems like we were disturbing the young man who had no other clients but us! The bosses of this place should really check up on their staff, we waited an hour to be poorly served ended up cancelling our reservation walking 20 minutes further to another U-Haul where served Within 15 minutes in out keys in hand

I had to wait over an hour for a truck I resurved.
When I got the truck it was stuck in the snow and ice and I had to dig it out myself and pull it out with my car.
They offered no help and I had no choice but to take the truck due to family emergency move.
I can't recommend in good faith.
