Service à comptoirs Succursale St Jacques vraiment désolé mais la personne pour pas nome Dave dois suivre une formation en relation client et apprend à parle aussi me faire jeté le Cles de camion sur comptoir et me donne de information en anglais et en me disant qu’il préfère reste à maison à please de travailler…il dois changer de job impossible pour U-Haul de rien faire ….

La directrice de succursale et le personnel sont vraiment zéro étoile service à la clientèle.nous sommes venus dans votre succursale de St-Jacques à Montréal pour retourner 2 articles que nous avions achetés en trop. La succursale en question, à la minute où nous sommes entrés, elle était pressée de fermer même s'il était 6h15 et que l'endroit est censé fermer à 19h00. J'ai finalement reçu un article retourné, pas sur mon compte mais sur un autre client par erreur car ce client avait un nom similaire.et les autres articles n'ont pas été remboursés car je n'avais pas ma facture physique sur moi. J'ai l'impression d'avoir été arnaqué et menti. J'espère obtenir une réponse raisonnable de la direction bureau chef d'Uhaul. Très insatisfait…

Plusieurs surcharges demandées avant et après d’avoir obtenir l’auto: assurance, dépôt, essence et nettoyage. Et aussi, il n’y a pas la version française pour cette sondage. C’était ma première et dernière expérience avec U-Haul.

Horrible service.i got sick for few hours and they end up charging me extra for nothing and they fake the invoice.for 9hrs end up paying close to 500$ per day with a distance of 50 kilometer. Julie the manager choose to stay away and instruct their employee to charge me 200$ and writing on my invoice for cleaning.this matter will be brought to consumer protection and to media.

Pire U-Haul à Montréal, la réservation avait déjà été faite par téléphone et quand je me suis présenté sa leur a pris 30min pour pouvoir nous donner les clés. Prenez des photos du camion avant de l’utiliser parce qu’il vont vous charger pour des dommages qui était déjà là. 1/3 employer sais comment travailler pis même elle elle aidait pas les deux autres. Pire expérience que j’ai jamais eu. Je conseille à personne. J’avais même lue les commentaires de l’endroit avant d’aller (c’est terrible), j’ai voulu essayer parce qu’on sais jamais mais ils sont pas déçu les commentaires, c’était effectivement du n’importe quoi.

As soon as I arrived they asked for 4 contacts that they were going to call on the spot. They explained me that they had 12 vehicles stolen. I told them it's likely to be the same person and they acknowledged saying it's what was suspected. THEN DON'T BOTHER CUSTOMERS BY DOING CONTACTS VERIFICATION ON THE SPOT!

They gave me a sheet explaining picturing how much gas to put in according to the gas level in order to arrive at half the tank. I followed it and arrived at 3/4, how convenient.

Last but not least, I filed the return through their Web service because it was after business hours. You have to do it while at the branch, so with your phone. Turns out uploading images doesn't work with Safari if you have an iPhone. I ended up downloading Chrome and it worked. Shouldn't there be a mention of this? Then it ends by saying I will have the bill emailed to me which never happened. I did get charged though.

This is the worst experience I ever had with u-haul. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Scam. They they purposely do it on the road check before renting you a car, so after the fact they can look over find a scratch they purposely did not document and charge for repairs.

They do not make their money off of renting the vans they make their money off of charging surplus amounts for damages that were already pre-existing.

It took an hour to rent the truck, even though all the info was in the system.
They asked us to give multiple references and started calling half our contact list to verify if we were not scammers… and all they did was ask the person on the phone “do you know Marc”. And all it took was a “yes”. Most pointless authentication ever.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was told to inspect the van myself prior to using which I did (although found bizarre that it would not be an employee to inspect the van before)
I used the van to pick up a mattress, the trip was quick and there were no complications. When I dropped the van off they said they would inspect the car after I leave, I asked if he would do it while I was there because I felt uncomfortable leaving without showing them myself the car is in the same condition I picked it up in. He insisted that he will inspect the van after I’m gone.
I was in no doubt that I hadn’t had a collision or scratched the car in any way (I would obviously be aware if something happened while I was driving) yet to my surprise later that evening I was charged $150 + tax on top of the $20 insurance for damage to the car. I called to ask what damage had been cause since I was sure nothing had happened to the car, and they informed me there was damage to the wheel. I caused no damage to the wheel I was driving on a highway the whole route and flat roads the whole time.damage to a wheel would only happen if one was driving over sharp bumpy terrain. I asked to see records of previous clients inspection reports who used that van to see if this damage had been declared previously and he refused to show me that information, yet when I called the help line they told me he is the one who can give me the records. All in all I had a bad feeling walking into this establishment and I should have listened to my gut, this is a money grab and I would be EXTREMELY careful about using this uhaul branch. Furthermore the worker I was dealing with was condescending and rude.

Appelé le service client quelques fois. Je me suis connecté à eux après une demi-heure ou plus. Les agents disent que seul le responsable le rembourse. J'ai demandé à être rappelé et le responsable a laissé un message vocal indiquant que le problème avait été résolu et qu'aucun remboursement n'avait été accordé. Je n'ai jamais parlé au responsable de ce problème. Le pire service de toute l'équipe. Je ne recommande pas et n'y ira plus. J'ai besoin d'un remboursement et je porterai plainte jusqu'à ce que je trouve une solution. Toujours en appel avec eux pendant une heure, mais quelqu'un a dit que l'appel serait transféré à la crèche et m'a mis en attente. En attente de la résolution.

I should have read these reviews before renting. I had a bad feeling as soon as I spoke to the customer rep when I went to pick up the van. I asked her if she would inspect the vehicle with me and was told no, I should inspect it and photograph any damages. Of course the Van is full of scratches as any moving van used by 100s of people would be. I took as many pics as I could but didn't take pics of the tires! I had the Van for 4 hours during which I was in it or watching it from my living room window while I had a bite of lunch. When I brought the van back I asked if the man I handed the keys to if he would inspect it with me, he said he would do it after and I could go. Big surprise they found some kind of unknown impact damage on a tire and charged me $150 (and it would have been more if i had not taken the insurance) AVOID uhaul, I deeply regret not hiring someone to pick up the couch for me-way less money, less hassle.

Charged me 400$ because i didnt see a " scratch" before approving a photo before renting a van. Awful service never go here. They will just charge anything to take your money just to cover their scratches that you didn't make. Go somewhere else. Simple as that

STAY AWAY! I called to book a large storage container and I was given a confirmation number and reservation for a specific container with the dimensions I requested. They didn’t honor it and never even had the storage container I reserved available in the first place. Terrible! Don’t ever use them. Ever. Ridiculous. The manager on the phone told me that hat they had the audacity for the last 2 years since Covid to constantly reserve storage units to customers they know aren’t available. People have shown up for their reserved storage locker will all their belongings only to find out it was never held for them even with a reservation. Absolutely insane. This company is nuts. Don’t ever give UHAUL your business. Completely unreliable and they’re flat out liars!

I was told a price and then got different charges, they hide charges and then surprise you with them at the end of the rental. Was told I was only charged for certain things and that was not true. Very rude over the phone and overall do not recommend

SCAMMERS
After renting a van to move a singular mattress (total distance was 8km), I was hit with a mysterious 350$ damage charge. It took me a month, a lot of stress, and a lot of harassement from their employees to finally get my money back from this fraudulent charge. Never using Uhaul again.

Great experience. The agents at the front desk were friendly, helpful and processing requests fast. And they were the same with every client. As I was leaving, I saw them immediately disinfect the truck I had just dropped. Very reassuring.

Decent place with stressful employee. Not that they treat me bad so I felt stressful, it's that there is only one employee at the place and the place can be very crowded from time to time, the employee is pretty stressful. Book an appointment in advance for the trucks cuz they don't have available truck right at the moment.

Après avoir vu qu'il existe un promo de 1 mois gratuit si on loue Box et Camion, Nous avons appelé le service client, la dame au téléphone nous a confirme l'information donc nous avons réservé.
Une fois sur place, on nous a refuse la promotion.
Je suis extrêmement déçu de cette compagnie.
De plus, le personnel devrait soigner son attitude envers les clients, c'est lamentable qu'après avoir louer un box, le code d'accès n'était pas active, et le Box était verrouille par un autre cadenas. Chose qui nous a fait perdre du temps lors des vas et vient pour régler ces problèmes.

A éviter, une compagnie qui n'honore pas ses promesses envers les clients.

Horrible experience at every level. To begin with the manager Mr Emile Murciano is rude, condescending, and very unsympathetic. This U haul did not hesitate one minute to overcharge our credit card for completely unwarranted charges. Be forewarned, do business here and you will regret it. The staff is atrocious, could not care less about you, and will go out of their way to ignore your complaints

Staff is doing their best during the pandemic, but maybe need an extra pair of hands. Some customers were being insufferable and wearing their masks below their nose inside, but the staff didn't correct it (understandably, because they were over worked and rushed).

Terrible experience, employees are dismissive and make minimal effort to help. They're even worse on the phone as they either hang up on you or they immediately refer you to their call center without even trying to look into what issues you have. And the 24-hour guy, Emille, is extremely lazy that all his solutions are to call the call center.

I phoned to request a hitch installation and booked a reservation.

They then changed the reservation, but wouldn't confirm a new one.

After 1 hour on the phone we arranged a new time.

When I arrived, there was no hitch available.

Save yourself 3 hours. Don't use U-Haul.

I spent over $6500 at this location in the past year! Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was running late on the day I had to vacate my storage locker by the "deadline" of 12: 00pm. I asked the location manager, EMILE MURCIANO, if I could have a grace period of 1-2 extra hours (so as to avoid paying $360 for another month, when I'd be just 1-2 hours late). He flat out refused to accommodate my request. When he was reminded about how good of a customer I was and how much money I had spent at this location in the past year, he claimed that it was out of his control and blamed it on "U-Haul central. " I contacted U-Haul customer service and they also tried to convince EMILE MURCIANO to have some compassion and leeway, yet he repeatedly declined to accommodate me in any way whatsoever. U-Haul customer service told me that the decision isn't up to them, but is at the sole discretion of the location manager.

So, not only was the customer service absurdly poor for not accommodating a very simple request made by a high-paying customer, the location manager, EMILE MURCIANO had the audacity to blatantly LIE TO CUSTOMERS. He could have easily permitted another 1-2 hours but tried to blamed "U-Haul central. " This type of behaviour is egregious.

Also worth noting: the larger locker I rented at $360/month had ONE tiny lightbulb hanging from the ceiling and made it impossible to see anything in my unit unless I brought a flashlight. That is unacceptable. Also, there are signs stating that this facility utilizes insect and pest control, yet somehow when I unpacked my contents, there were flying insects in my boxes (which could NOT have come from me). I have videos and photos to support all this.

So, overall, I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone and I would strongly recommend that EMILE MURCIANO receive basic customer service training.

I rented a cargo van with a friend and upon returning it we received a bunch of additional fees the following day. I called and was told that I didn't do any of the after hours returnal procedure. Neither me nor my friend remember them explaining anything about downloading the uhaul app or going online after (was charged 23$) ? The worker assured me they did, he also said it was highlighted on my contract but it is not, plus I was offered a French contract when the whole interaction was in English. They then made a mistake on my contract and they admitted to it when I noticed it. Additionally I was charged 28$ because I left some nails in the van (probably fell off a bookshelf) for cleaning fees? This is my first time having such a negative experience with U-haul, but the employees explained the fees thoroughly when I called back.well one did, the other not so much. Sorry uhaul but 1 star for today.

Just called to rent a truck last minute:
- VERY impressed with the assistance from representative I spoke with
- no trucks of what size I required so the employee checked in the system, found what I needed as close as possible
- took initiative to ask if additions such as blankets etc were needed
- explained prices and breakdown
- able to pay by debit simply by making a refundable deposit rather than only credit
- checked system regarding storage units and prices in addition

Well done to U-haul, at least for this particular employee providing excellent service. Would include name of individual however am not aware of policy particularities regarding individual company representatives. Thank you to the gentleman I spoke with at 8: 10 am today at this location!

This U-Haul is highly recommended. Professional, friendly, and organized staff members are working at this location. They inspect their truck before/after rental and also clean the truck right after return. Most importantly, staffs do care about their clients satisfaction.

Fast service and all works well if you previously reserve your truck! Difficult access to the site due to the works in highway (you can enter by highway but must leave by st Saint Jacques)

Bon service, les prix sont pas chers, si vous voulez transporter 2 ou 3 choses sans avoir appeler la compagnie de demenagement, c est un choix exellent! Le prix fixe pour la journee et le reste vous payez juste le kilometrage a seulement 46 cents le KM. Merci pour votre service de location!
