Owners were extremely nice and welcoming. I had kafta and mint tea and both were exceptionally delicious!

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Good hummus, good lemon chicken and good mint tea. Much cheaper than other restaurants in the old town.

Delightful, cozy, friendly, delicious, and a great value. Recommend chicken tajine with prunes, mint tea, and baklava. BYOB, no corking fee! Nephew of owner served us: a genuine, helpful, patient, engaging man. In 1987, Topeka, Kansas, high school French class they taught, "Garcon, le billet s'il vous plait! " as the appropriate way to ask for a bill in a francophone restaurant. I've since learned that's a bit out-dated, borderline offensive. Waitstaff graciously pretended not to notice my faux pas.

Ça dépend goût culinaire à chaque un, les portions alimentaires sont vien balance pour les prix qu'on paie, moi je dit il faut essayer le restaurant, voilà.

Le couscous princier ne goûtait rien et la tajine d’agneau aux pruneaux ne contenait aucun morceaux de viande, que des blocs de gras! Je n’ai jamais vu non plus de tajine servi avec du riz. On nous a également refusé la possibilité de prendre le plat d’entrées variées en repas. Nous ne recommandons pas!

Très très mauvaise expérience, je vous déconseille fortement d’aller à ce restaurant: la nourriture est très mauvaise, même sauce et même légumes pour tout les plats, aucun effort, même minime n’a été fait. On Refuse de nous servir le pain avec les tajines (impossible de parler de tajine dans le monde sans pain) eux ils veulent qu’on le paie extra? , avec quoi chui censé manger la sauce (نشربها؟؟!). Service absent, serveuse très bête et désagréable. Et traitement raciste à la fin lorsque on a refusé de donner le pourboire, puisque la nourriture on l as presque pas toucher et service était mauvais.j’avais vraiment honte qu’ils soient des marocains

Il y a quelques années, c'était excellent, mais le resto a été vendu depuis et ce n'est plus aussi bon. Mauvais service, le chef qui est le proprio est un peu rustre, la serveuse n'est pas intéressée à son travail. Déçue, on ne reviendra plus.

Patron ou serveur et cuisinier à la fois pas du tout aimable, très froid et désagréable. Accueil très froid et coucous sans saveur. Tajine immangeable tellement il était épicé et piquant. Je déconseille fortement.

A l'arrivée la serveuse nous demande si nous avions réservé? Nous avons repondu negatif! Elle part sans s'excuser et le chef sort nous montrer avec le doigt ou s'assoir.sans sourir! Je demande le plat du jour.serveuse me repond qu'il n'y a pas! On demande s'il y a des menus enfant.la serveuse repond toujours par 'Non! '. On commande et on attends.les.plats arrivent après 20 minutes.toutes les viandes étaient insalubres et clairement non fraiches! Aucun gout dans mon tadjine. MAPAQ doit vraiment y aller visiter ce resto! Je déconseille fortement!

Je n’ai jamais vu un manque de respect aussi important dans un restaurant. Dès l’accueil, on a été refroidi par une serveuse horriblement désagréable. Aucun sourire et on semblait la déranger. Lorsqu’on a voulu passer la commande, elle nous a répondu de façon très exaspérée qu’elle allait revenir. À la commande, toujours sans sourire, elle semblait carrément furax de notre commande. Nous étions 4,2 plats principaux commandés et 2 grosses entrées. Quelques secondes plus tard, le chef-propriétaire est venu nous apostropher carrément, d’une façon TRÈS irrévérencieuse. Il nous a dit que nous devions commander un plat chacun car c’était obligatoire. J’ai eu de la difficulté à émettre des questions tellement il me coupait d’une façon impolie. Étant donné leurs attitudes, nous avons quitté sur le champ et le chef nous a crié: « Bon débarras!  ». Je n’irai plus à ce restaurant et je n’encourage personne à y aller! Pire restaurant à vie!

Le pire service que j'ai vu de ma vie, je vous recommande très fortement d'aller le plus loin possible de cet endroit!

The food was good but the chef came out and instead of giving us the bill made us come to the back to pay while yelling at us infront of everyone. I think it’s because we asked if they could split the check in two? Im not even sure the guy just came out yelling - like the reviews below stated.

On top of that, we sat 10 minutes for the waiter to take our order and our food took another 30 minutes to get to us.

I am also vegetarian so the menu was limited for me, I don’t know if the waiter was upset that I ordered an appetizer instead of a whole meal?

When we asked for water, instead of having it be delivered to our table, he made us get up and come to the back to fill up on water.

Nice place where you can enjoy a good drink and have a discussion because music is not overly loud. Didn't eat much, but they had a few things on the menu that looked good. Would definitely go back

Tout était très bon. Le service gentil, avenant et efficace. Ça faisait très longtemps que je voulais essayer ce restaurant et je n'ai pas été déçu.

We had wonderfully tender lamb and an excellent vegetarian dish. Bring your own wine from the SAQ - about a 5 minute walk. Quiet atmosphere, music is not too loud. Service good. Just go to the cash when you want to leave. Prices are very reasonable. Just up the street from St. Jean.

Amazing food, slow service like i read in precious reviews but whatever you could see there was only one waiter and one or two chefs. But the vibe is so intimate and the food amazing so we enjoyed a bottle of wine while waiting and it was fine:)

Bel endroit avec du personnel bien sympathiques. Par contre, la bouffe est loin d’être à la hauteur de ce que le Maroc est capable de fournir… Nous avons tout de même passé au bon moment avec nos amis avec de l’excellent vin!

The ambience is nice and the server is friendly. Service overall was pretty slow since there was only one server working on a Friday night but she did a good job. The food, however, was 100% authentic. Real Moroccan flavour and for that reason alone I would go back. Staff confirmed halal status via "oui oui" when we asked.

La nourriture est bonne. Par contre, nous sommes végétariennes et avons commandé de la soupe, qui goûtait beaucoup la viande. C'est notre erreur, mais lorsque nous avons demandé si la soupe contenait de la viande, on nous a répondu que non. Nous avons trouvé des os dans nos bols. Il a fallu que nous parlions au cuisinier. Heureusement, nous n'avons pas eu à payer la soupe.

Disgusting food and they give it to people as Moroccan food, this is Not Moroccan food for sure, because I know Moroccan food very well, the chef was very rude and disrespectful OMG what a bad attitude, do yourself a favour and stay away from this restaurant.

I absolutely love this place. My favourite restaurant in Quebec City, and a must-visit whenever I'm there. It was my first taste of Moroccan food when I was 19, and a highlight in my journey of discovering foods from other cultures. Where else would you be served by the chef?

Food was delicious and portions were more than generous! Cozy spot in the old Town and very welcoming owner! I had the table d'hôte from the soup to the Baklava not one bad thing to say. I will come back!

Le meilleur restaurant à Qc! Une bouffe marocaine typique une ambiance chaleureuse et un service de feu. J'ai rarement vu quelqu'un manier les fourneaux, donner un service sur mesure et savoir pimenter le service d'anecdotes et de moments uniques. Recommander est le moins qu'on puisse faire pour encourager cet établissement qui ajoute profondeur des saveurs à votre soirée qui sera inoubliable.

I loved this restaurant. The food was amazing. I had a chicken dish with vegetables that was very delicious. The servers were very friendly. I love the ambience of the restaurant. The best was it was BYOB.

We stumbled into this hidden gem, and thank goodness. All dishes were made fresh and they were beautifully seasoned, generous portions. The tastes were amazing. Chef, Redone, was friendly and spoke with us after dinner. He trained in France, Chicago and Orlando and his skills revealed themselves in the subtle & complex dishes. Superb. Relax and take your time.

What a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and reasonably priced. I could not decide what to have and asked for anything off the specialties menu. My tajine with lamb and prunes was delightful. My wife had the chicken brochettes and was equally pleased. We were able to enjoy a lovely conversation with our host/owner/server after our meal. So much multi-tasking, but he did it so well. We were very well looked after. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, with just the right amount backgound music and proper evening lighting. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. For other first-timers here, you will need to ask for the bill when done. You have not been forgotten, you are intentionally not being rushed out. We look forward to our next visit.

Mets succulents et goûteux! Un resto apportez votre vin rare dans ce coin qui en vaut le détour. Seul bémol, le chef qui sert d’hôtesse, serveuse, propriétaire, aurait tout intérêt à embaucher un vrai serveur/serveuse. à chacun ses compétences et spécialités. Il faut prendre le temps pour l’amadouer et le flatter dans le bon sens sinon il peut paraître un tantinet pas trop sympa aux premiers abords. à travailler de son côté! Mais pour la nourriture rien à redire!

Le patron ne voulais pas nous servir et nous avons pas eu le choix de quitter car nous voulions une table plus intime complètement libre la pire expérience de ma vie

Yes it's a one man show here, it took a long time to get the food. But isn't that how fresh made food is supposed to be?

Everything I had was phenomenal and cooked to perfection.

Talked with the owner he has trained as a chef from all over the world.

It's bring your own alcohol but there is a small store across the street.

Do yourself a favor and eat here while you can get a seat!

Food was excellent! The restaurant was short staffed and it was a one man show and he did it all well. The lamb was so tender and spiced too perfection. The pita and hummus was a nice start and the mint tea was an excellent way to finish. We loved it was just off the craziness of the main drag much quieter.

This is the Wrost experience i have ever had with any restaurent anywhere around world. There should be an option to give 0 stars. The employee who was also thr manager was rude beyond my words can describe. I had to call the cops on him because he kicked me out of the restaurent by harassing me and my family. The food arrived cold and portions were very small compare to any other restaurent.the food tasted nothing like fresh food and after i took a few bites i got a hair in my lamb kabab. I told the owner kindly to see the hair and he started telling me your lying and then he said get out of my restaurent when i said i cant pay for this lamb kabab dish. I still paid but he yelled at me for just asking to see the hair in the kabab and for the portion being very small. It wasnt even enough for one person and the coet was 18 dollars for the plate.

I wish I had option of giving ZERO stars! The manager yelling at me and telling me to get out just because of me telling him the food was not as expected. I paid $40 for this humiliation in front of other customers. The guy doesn't has any manners and doesn't know how to behave with people. I would call him a bit racist as well because the customer before me also complained about the food but the manager did not tell them to get out but when I told him the same, he immediately yelled at me. He also didn't give me boxes to pack my remaining food. Instead he was telling me that if the food is not good then leave it here. Why should I leave it there, the food I paid $40 for? He was also threatening me so I had to call the cops as well! If you respect yourself and value your money then I would strongly suggest you to not go there!

Very rude and racist behavior by the owner especially with Indian subcontinent people. The owner was talking very gental with other customer but he was very rude with South Asians. I don't even want to give one star.

Ce petit restaurant offre une variété de délicieux plats typiquement marocains. Le service est un peu long puisqu'il n'y a qu'un seul employé, mais le délais reste acceptable. J'y retournerai certainement!

Food is delicious, dishes are huge.
I tried chicken with olives and pickled lemon which was superb.
Price wise is reasonable too.
I highly recommend it.

Meilleur hummous ever! Servi avec des petites pointes de pita chaudes, miam! Pastila au poulet très bonne aussi et la tajine Keftas également. Notre serveur était très professionnel et attentionné. On vous le recommande!

Do not I repeat do not go to this restaurant! The staff is absolutely horrible and are in desire need of customer service lessons.

I went here with a group of friends today, and the audacity of the wait staff, I cannot fathom.

Upon entering, the chef yelled "shut the door", as if I was his staff. I said nothing and kindly shut the door.

We were seated and because of the staff's inflexibility he had us reassigned to another table. Absolutely unexceptable.

The staff is RUDE and unwelcoming. Will never go back here.
