UnionMD, Clinique médicale privée à Gatineau

Je déconseille fortement cet endroit!

Mon conjoint a été consulté pour une verrue plantaire et on lui avait confirmé avant la prise de rendez-vous qu'ils peuvent l'enlever sur place. Au lieu de ça, ils chargent 250$ et prescrit une crème à eczema et mentionnent de revenir dans 2 jours (et repayer la consultation) pour l'enlever. Bref, ils font ça que pour l'argent et non pour le bien-être du patient.

En 20 ans de carrière, le pharmacien n'a jamais vu un médecin prescrire ceci pour une verrue plantaire. Le médecin est clairement incompétent. Quelle belle perte d'argent!

I have been to this location a few times, but my experience with Dr. David Lachapelle was by far the best. I haven't felt such confidence in a doctor since my time in Switzerland.
He was kind, patient, and listened with interest to help. He also knew what he was doing. It's rare to find a doctor that is not only very competent at what they do, but also possess the quality of compassion.
As for the clinic, it was clean, the secretary was nice, there was ample seating in the waiting room and free parking (in the back down a narrow alley between the buildings).
Both staff I interacted with were bilingual.
Due to it being a private clinic, I had to pay out of pocket, but since this is the only private clinic I have visited, I don't know if the rates are comparable to others.
But also because the medical system in every province I have lived in recently (5), is failing, we have made the choice to come here and make sure our medical needs are taken care of before it's too late.

Très propre. Très calme. Service professionnel impeccable avec Dr. Dahlia Mikaël. Ce n'est pas donné ($$$) mais excellent service.

Extremely efficient clinic. I was able to get an appointment quickly (rather than wait months in Ontario) with Dr. Dalia. She was very professional and very kind. I highly recommend her and the clinic.

This clinic is great. I went here for a cyst removal in a pretty awkward spot. Doctor Dalia and the nurse (sorry I never got her name) were just awesome. They were both so knowledgeable, understanding and patient with me. I’d give more stars if I could.

The staff and especially Dr Dalia Mikhael are exceptional. My original minor surgery went very well. My follow-ups were intense and I’m grateful that my concern were taken into consideration to reduce the pain.

Very caring, well informed, and attentive Doctor. She reminds patients that taking care of one's health is one of the most important things one must do and that good health is about lifestyle choices rather than a temporary remedies.

Je vois le Dr Chaudry à UnionMd depuis plusieurs années maintenant, et je ne pourrais pas être plus heureux de ses soins. Elle est toujours très minutieuse et prend le temps d'écouter mes préoccupations. Elle est également très sympathique et facile à qui parler, ce qui me met à l'aise pour discuter de tout problème de santé que je pourrais rencontrer.

All of the staff are very welcoming, kind and caring. I have ptsd especially in medical environments and am able to stay calm throughout my visits to Union MD. Thank you very much.

La docteur est à l'écoute et fait un examen très minutieux et complet. Elle est attentionné, chaleureuse, attentionné et compétente.

Très courtois et aimable et explique tout de manière concise. Le personnel est toujours sympathique. Je serai patiente encore longtemps.

La Dr Mikhael a été patiente et a pris le temps de donner des réponses détaillées à mes questions. Elle est compétente et agréable à lui parler. Je la recommande fortement.

Un peu d'attente mais cela vaut la peine car c'est un gage de qualité dans cette clinique privée à Gatineau, une équipe agréable et expérimentée nous accueille et nous prend en charge.

Mon fils avait un rendez-vous l'année dernière dans cette clinique et il a été très bien suivi, c'est exactement pour cette raison que j'ai essayé de prendre rendez-vous pour moi-même, mais la personne qui a répondu au téléphone était un peu impatiente, le Site Web n'accepte pas le paiement pour le rendez-vous donc nous devons donnée nos détails de carte de credit par téléphone et nous n'avons pas la possibilité de payer au moment de la consultation.

Super expérience. Super attentif et était entré et sorti en moins de 30 minutes. Je le recommande vivement!

Excellent service, super clinique, super propre et ils ont été très courtois! Met with Dr. Dalia this morning, she was great, took her time to explain and made sure i understood everything. She was very knowlogeble, had a treatment for me right away. Last year i visited another private clinic for the same issue (clinique Lacroix), they rushed me, didn't even take a look at my problem, prescribed medication that didn't work at all!

Terrific clinic. Very clean, little wait with excellent staff. I came here for a dermatologist, and was lucky enough to get Dr Dalia Mikhael. She is extremely skilled with a great bedside manner. She takes the time to explain and is very caring. I highly recommend her to anyone suffering with skin issues. I am very thankful to her and the clinic.

Overall an average experience.

The good: You can get an appointment very quickly here, which in many cases makes all the difference.

But otherwise, I found it very average. I came here to visit the dermatologist to have a mole removed and the diadnose a skin leasion on my temple. Overall the service and treatment was competant and pleasant enough, however:

1. The on-site dermatologist does not do work on the face or neck, and so I had to book another appointment in Montreal with Dr. Doumit to perform a biopsie of the skin leasion on my face. (Dr. Doumit apparently no longer travels to Gatineau)

2. The mole removal was $300. The dermatologist also recommended that I remove two other moles. The removal of THOSE moles was $600 each. Even thought it was THE EXACT SAME PROCEDURE FOR ALL THREE MOLES! So a big HINT: If the dermatologist recommends you remove a mole, tell them "No thanks, I chose not to remove it". Then wait and pause, and say "Oh, by the way, I would like to remove this same mole for cosmetic reasons". And voila, you save $300 on mole removal.

3. All three moles were sent to a lab to perform biopsies on them, but I never received the results. No one called me to tell me anything. I had to follow up 2 months later to have them send me the results.

So, if you don't mind waiting, you're probably better off in the public system.
But, if something is time sensitive, or your are in a rush, then Union MD is a good option.

Very well-organized practice. Can get quick appointments and spend little time in the waiting room. Dr. Lalonde is very pleasant, caring and thoroughly.
