UnionMD, Private Medical Clinic West Island

My experience was excellent.
Praise to everyone one we dealt with, from receptionist to a very compassionate Doctor L’abbé. My husband and I have been only four times and every time has been pleasant.

Not great. Waited 45 minutes to be seen after arriving punctually for my appointment. Staff are aloof, MD I met was meh - hurried and disinterested at best. Disappointment after spending $250.00 for 5 minutes of private care.

I did a last minute walk in for an infection and I was in and out in 20 minutes with my prescription. Love Dr Labbé

1. Same day appointment and very fast cx service on the phone and online which is great if you want to skip the 2-10+ hrs wait time to see a dr. In emergency or walk in clinic. Also ideal if you do not have medicare.
Keep in mind, in Quebec, not all private insurer’s will reimburse the fee for this clinic but you can definitely add it when you file your taxes under the medicine section to be able to get some money back.

2. Dr. Nolan was very attentive, quick, efficient, knowledgeable, patient, understanding and very informative. The level of professionalism, care and kindness was impeccable.

3. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for LUNA, the receptionist.
As a front receptionist in an expensive private clinic, it is bare minimum to be polite and respectful towards EVERYONE.
Doesn’t matter the colour or appearance.
She had 2 interactions (Caucasians and muslims) before myself and she was very welcoming and nice with them. Once it was my turn, she had this downgrading, unwelcoming look. Condescending and made me feel like I don’t belong there. I am sick, I’m not dressing for a fashion runway here. She asked questions she could have avoided if she simply paid me any mind and listened the first time.
Greeting the patients, smiling back or making eye contact wouldn’t hurt you Luna!
Lastly, on my way out, I had to use the washroom and asked her where can I go and she directed me. As I open the door, she then suddenly raises her tone saying “uhm excuse me? ! You need to pay! “
I turned back and gave her this look making her aware I was upset with her tone because on top of the fact that she made me feel like I do not belong there, she made it look like I had intentions of leaving without paying which is very insulting, and not acceptable!
I am no thief and never got treated like that in my life before.
She obviously displayed herself to be very racist and miserable in life.
It’s sad that Quebec is so corrupted, understaffed and underpaid. In result, they desperately hire just ANYONE.

Dr. Chebil is very professional. It shows how experienced he is. He took the time to answer all my questions and concerns.

Bon accueil des dames à la réception. Le médecin a été très aimable. Il ne pouvait rien faire pour moi selon mon problème un peu particulier mais il m’a aider à trouver un médecin spécialiste rapidement.

Dr. Labbé is a gem. I took my wife for her first consult with Dr. Labbé. She is compassionate, and caring. She takes her time to explain matters. The receptionists, and the nurse, Sophia were also very helpful. I would highly recommend this clinic.

It was my first visit and it went well. The reception, doctor and technician were very helpful.

I was very happy with my experience with Dr Labbe. She was gentle and discrete, while also being thorough and practical. She made me feel comfortable and treated me like an intelligent person, offering useful explanations of treatment options. When I had a condition causing pain, she saw me promptly, despite a full schedule. I never felt rushed and yet she was on time for our appointment. She seems to genuinely enjoy her work and to care for her patients

Dr Labbé is the best Dr I’ve ever been too, I’m 52yrs old. She is attentive, she is very knowledgeable and supportive. Worth every penny!

Le Dr Fahim a bien contrôlé mes problèmes de dermatologie et je la reverrai certainement. Terminé rapidement et souhaitait que d'autres cabinets médicaux fonctionnent aussi efficacement et facilement.

Dre Fahim est très attentionnée pour les besoins de ses patients. Les services et les soins comparativement aux cliniques publiques. Je note 10/10 à chacune de mes visites.

I brought my wife here twice and waited 35 minutes and 45 minutes. The standards at this clinic are terrible and they should be ashamed of themselves but unfortunately they’re not. We won’t be returning!

Le Dr Doumit et toute son équipe sont professionnels. Non seulement ils vous traitent comme un ami, mais ils semblent vraiment aimer le travail qu'il fait.

Skilled dermatologist but the fees are out of this world. $250 for a 2 min talk and a 2 min treatment at 750 $ (but an hour and half of waiting). 3 stars because of cost and long wait because of patient overbooking.

Don't bother trying to reach this clinic today. Their phone is giving busy. The whole family are regular clients. They give great service. I am sure they are overwhelmed with phones but when pay money, we should not wait more than 2 minutes on the phone. Otherwise why pay money? Once at the clinic. They have great doctors, nurses and receptionists. But it is just frustrating with the phones especially since the pa demic started.

FAKE REVIEWS! RUN AWAY!

I see that most of the positive reviews have been bought. All reviews are 2/3/4 weeks old and are almost similar with 5 stars and impeccable service. When you click on the profiles of the people who commented, you realize that they all commented on the same establishments (mainly clinics) and gave great ratings in the same period (between 2-5 weeks).

When we go back through old reviews (or sort with the lowest rating), we realize that the services offered are expensive and inefficient (see photos).

Je suis venu à la clinique avec ma femme deux fois, la première fois que nous avons vu le médecin, ous sommes revenus après 3 semaines pour un suivi.le médecin a diagnostiqué le cas et Nous a référés à un spécialiste de l'hôpital.j'ai aimé la douceur du protocole lors de l'enregistrement et de la consultation du médecin. Je sentais qu'ils avaient son meilleur intérêt à l'esprit dans chaque décision qu'ils prenaient. Nous les recommandons vivement!

Après avoir consulté 2 autres dermatologues je dois dire que le Dr Doumit a grandement dépassé mes attentes. Il a pris le temps de bien m’expliquer mes options et étant donné sa grande expertise dans le domaine j’ai pu avoir un traitement beaucoup plus approprié

I am a regular patient to the UnionMD private clinic in downtown Montreal and TMR. I was even more impressed by their new location in the West Island. Very clean and warm. Most importantly the doctor and nurse were outstanding. Plus plenty of free parking:). I strongly recommend.

It was a very good and informative experience with this place and specially with Dr. Mathilde Labbe, who was so knowledgeable, easygoing and friendly doctor to makes you comfortable to bring up and discuss any problem you may have!

My son had a wonderful service at this private clinic in the West Island. The doctor was very kind competent and human. I would definitely recommend anybody to go to this private clinic. They have a dermatologists Family Doctors, allergists and many other specialties.
