Réservation obligatoire si vous voulez manger pendant le show. La nourriture est excellente et fait maison. Dans un lieu comme celui-ci c'est un vrai plaisir. Une première pour mois et je reviendrais avec grand plaisir. Les artistes sont vraiment bons.

Espace très serré. Petites tables collées les unes sur les autres. J’ai parlé poliment à une serveuse et elle a murmuré quelque chose et a tourné la tête et partie. Très décevant comme première expérience et je ne comprends pas les avis de cinq étoiles.

Great music, staff, food and drink. Atmosphere was phenomenal, as was the sound, very good acoustically to listen to some wonderful music

I'm from Australia and have been away for a couple of Covid years, but was delighted to be welcomed by host Joel, at the door as always. This place is like an old friend - a wonderfully curated selection of jazz, and great service. It's up and swinging again and operating like a well oiled machine, unlike many other venues in Montreal who are desperately short of staff at the moment. Such a joy to reconnect.

Best jazz bar in Montreal. Cozy and intimate venue with knowledgeable bartender and full bar. Music always on point. An excellent date spot.

What a great spot! We didn’t have a reservation (strongly recommended), but they got us in. Top line musicians, food was great (Mahi Mahi) and service excellent. Highly recommend and will visit again.

Band playing was fantastic, food was just okay, I had a burger and it was a pretty average burger.

Awesome vibes for all ages! Talent was great, so were our server Octavio! Must see if you're visiting or even moving to Montreal. Unforgettable.

We went to a later show and therefor did not order dinner but we had some drinks, a good talk with the staff, some laughs and would definitely recommend to other people! The atmosphere is hip and intimate but is music focused and fun.

Some of the tables were a bit far from the stage, although there are TV screens that show the stage with almost no lag!

The food/drinks are a bit pricy.

Nice boomer place. A bit too dark and crowdy. Low key interior. Jazz is nice. Also, liked the eggplant.

Such a cute, intimate and a beautiful little spot. A true gem indeed. We came from Toronto and didn't make reservations before hand but they promised if anyone canceled they would call. They kept their promise and called! We got seats at the bar, had a delicious dinner and some drinks while being serenaded by the jazz performance, it was magical. The bartenders & staff were delightful. We will definitely visit this spot every time we visit Montreal

Went there for the Peter Bernstein show. Good was delicious and out waitress was incredibly good. We were a group of six and we all had a wonderful time.

Date night with my husband.my leg is in a cast and the staff was outstanding with accommodating us…. Love this place.big lover of jazz music… will highly recommend this club️

Had a terrific night with Dawn Tyler Watson leading her band, a not over full house although all the seats were sold there.there are fewer of them now.and the food was terrific also, as was the service.

Awesome place to go. We had the NY Steak and it tasted excellent. The live music was great. Very nice atmosphere and a lot of fun.

Had an awesome time! Enjoyed the outdoor seating and we could still hear the amazing jazz playing inside! Octavio and all the staff were great! Will definitely come back!

What an amazing little spot! For $30-40 you can catch a really great jazz trio, and enjoy a nice meal with a pint.

A great cozy spot to listen to some incredible local jazz musicians. I particularly enjoy nights when the Michael Bruzzese trio or quartet are playing.

Amazing place for music and drinks. Eat before because the food overthere is very average. Understanding that the objective there is the music experience of high standard so food just does not match it. And in Montreal food competition is on every corner.

Very nice place! We didn't have a reservation but we were able to snag a table when we walked in (a Tuesday night). By the time the first set started it was near full. It's a relatively small place but has a nice feel and the acoustics are good. The music was very mellow jazz and finely fitted to a rainy weekday in "springtime" Montreal. The food and service were good (calamari, prosciutto, penne arabiata, pappardelle, and salmon salad) were excellent. Good service. Careful with buying beer/booze, the cost adds up quickly!

Staff went over and above to accommodate our group, waitress even came to me with a pillow for my sprained ankle. Great food, wonderful music by McGill students a wonderful time had by our family and friends. Thank you

One of the best jazz spots in the city! Very intimate setting and a great selection of artists passing through! Make sure to call a few days to a week in advance for reservations though.

No dancing, no talking, no laughing. When did jazz become synonymous with conservative, upperclass fascism? Good music and I'm glad the artists get paid which is why there's 3 stars.

I went to Upstairs 2 weeks ago with my gf. The place is small but cozy. It was packed but didnt feel like too much. Our waiter was super friendly! The show we saw was amzing and the ambience phenomenal! Food was great, good wine and SUCCULENT dessert! Great place for any jazz lover and to hear a good show!

Excellent grill with good steak and French fries. But above everything else, the Jazz. The place is small and most of the people are pretty respectful when the musicians are performing, by staying quiet. It’s appreciated. A small list of drinks is offered, a good varieties of draft beer also. This place is known for its Jazz for decades now. It’s the place to be if your are a fanatic or just a novice appreciating good music.

L'endroit vieillit décidément très bien et ne perd rien de sa réputation au fil des ans. Musiciens toujours aussi motivés et enthousiastes. Ça paraît qu'ils sont tous ravis de jouer là-bas.

Nice atmosphere, just like a vintage jazz club, live Jam sessions every night, good selection of beers and plenty single malts, they serve food as well.

Good place to hear some live jazz. There was an 8 pm set (as well as a later one). Nice place. An $8 charge was added to my bill for 'live jazz'; fair enough. It was mentioned on the poster.

The place is a classic, it is cozy and the sound flows beautifully. The management enforces silence as much as possible so jazz amateurs can enjoy the music. It is a little pricey when you factor the food and the show, but this is not for anybody, it is for jazz amateurs who come for the music and enjoy the food, not vice versa.

Awesome place, very small though and making a reservation is a must. Food is okay but the atmosphere is great.

For live jazz with a french atmosphere when in Montreal, be sure to stop in. It's a cozy, quaint little place. But reservations are recommended

Great music and vibe! We arrived just after opening on a Sunday evening and most of the tables were reserved. We scored a table in the far back corner with a perfect view of the stage. The service was acceptable. The food was a bit of a letdown. The nachos looked good, but were not hot. Even the strips of chorizo on the nachos were room temperature. The meatballs were warmer, but not hot and a bit bland. The french fries served with ketchup and mayo/aioli were the best, and I would order them again. The Billie's Mule has a great gingery spice! This place is definitely on our return list!

Menu excellent et délicieux. Ambiance feutrée et spectacle d'une qualité exceptionnelle. Seul bémol, service plutôt lent mais personnel très courtoi.
