The food was really disappointing. Very salty and the piri piri sauce was awful — was almost tomatoey. I’ve had a lot of Portuguese chicken in my life and this is definitely on the lower end of the scale. People have raved about this to me and I was hoping for a LaSalle version of Romados or Ma Poule Mouiller…this is definitely not that. Maybe an off night for them but I won’t be returning.

Food hasn’t been the same since new ownership! Sauce Not as good, same price, smaller portions.

Nous sommes très déçu mon conjoint et moi nous aimions bcp cet endroit mais malheureusement hier on ne sait pas ce qui s’est passé avec le poulet ou les frites mais on a été malade tout la nuit… nous avons téléphoner aujourd’hui pour leurs en faire part et nous n’avons même pas eu droit à un semblant d’excuse de leurs part… elle a tout de suite répondu vous voulez quoi? On ne veut rien mais l’excuse es le minimum

We went for the first time yesterday and were very happy with our meals as well as the friendly service. Chicken is great and the cod fritters are definitely home made and quite tasty. We will surely be back!

Excellent food and fantastic customer service. Highly recommended for good prices. Big portion sizes and juicy chicken. Hidden gem with authentic Portuguese-style food. Will definitely order again.

Their portuguese poutine and bifana sandwich are my favorite! The natas are fresh made and delicious! The staff is always friendly!

The chicken and pork was amazing, the people running the restaurant provided a very personalized and extremely friendly service and the overall atmosphere is simple but cozy.

Sooo i was really excited to try this restaurant. I can smell the food from the street when im walking by. I gave it 3 cause I found the ppl nice.not rude like some of the reviews I've seen.but man I was disappointed by the amount of food i got for the price i paid. Maybe my expectations were too high and maybe dine in would be better I see pictures and there seems to be a lot more food.its probably the most money ive spent on a takeout and we were all still kinda hungry. The food we got was good I guess.for me lacking flavor.added salt and dumped the hot sauce on everything. I got all sauces to try.mild=flavorless.medium=
barely mild.hot=mild. The portugese poutine was good worth the price but not spicy at all. We all took a bite of their cake thing which was very good.
So I guess all this to say from the other reviews I've read and my own experience.dine in.go for the hottest sauce.open ur wallet.be nice to the staff theyll be nice to u.
I may perhaps order again something different to try but only as a single meal for myself not to feed the family.

Super good food. I got the pork and sausage combo. The sausage is great I can eat tons of it, the porc was good too. The "spicy" sauce was very tasty but not that spicy.
Take fries and rice, thre salad was bleh.
I would go back 100%

We took natas to bring home, those were too good!

This place is not what it used to be even though I was so excited for Portuguese chicken in the hood. Prices have gone up 30% on the a two half chicken lunches. Natas were outrageously expensive. The quality is still there, but at what cost. Is the cow charging more to provide the milk for the natas? Is the sugar cane costing more to grow? Is the chicken charging more to give itself to the meal? Of course not, the only answer is human intervention in an otherwise perfect meal, causing prices to soar this way. I am no longer going to do what I used to do, if people insist on charging me 30% more to do it. Get the family meal instead of two half chickens and save about $10 for the same food.

Je voulais encourager une entreprise familiale, mais c'était vraiment ordinaire pour le prix. Quand Piri Piri qui est le McDonalds de la nourriture portuguaise est meilleur, il y a un problème. En plus, la propriétaire n'arrêtait pas de couper ou répondre à la place de l'employée (avec un ton bête évidemment) lorsque je posais des questions sur l'entreprise. Très ordinaire, surtout que c'était loin d'être occupé et que j'ai bien mentionné que j'étais un nouveau client voulant s'informer sur l'entreprise.

Great portion of really tasty food and family feeling atmosphere! I love their bistro vibe. Very vital and welcoming.
The owner is very hospitable all in all. We will come again!

Ordered via Uber Eats. Ordered a full chicken. The fries were warm, but the taste was very average (to be nice). The chicken was good, but on a little too oily.

Definitely a lot of room for improvement.

UPDATE:

The owners were really nice and accommodating! Got the poutine with toppings and it was delicious! I especially liked the little kick you get from the chorizo and the spicy sauce. Their natas also tasted divine. Perfect flakiness from the crust and the custard wasn't overly sweet. Definitely recommend and would come back.

Ordered a small poutine from here last night from their website and we chose to have both chicken and chorizo as toppings. The poutine was very good BUT we realized that there were no toppings at all. We thought it would be more in the middle or bottom or that there just wasn't as much but there really weren't any chicken or chorizo.
