Place has gone really downhill, calamari were like rubber and the pitas are not like they used to be.

They only had gyros the French fries that are frozen we’re not cooked properly very unhappy with experience fries were still white salt ketchup vinegar nothing help will never go back

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE FORCED TO TIP!

My wife and I were served by who I think is the owner of this restaurant. We ordered 2 souvlakis which were OK, nothing extraordinary. She didn't do anything special and was even a bit rude while taking our orders. After we finished eating, we stayed there for around 15 minutes talking to each other and using our phones.
When we ordered the bill, we decided not to tip because we had been spending too much as tourists and, honestly, there was nothing special with the service (besides being our right not to tip).
When the lady saw that we didn't tip, she said something like this to my wife:
"Miss, next time you come here, make sure you tip. For how long have you two been here? I need to pay my employees and your tip is part of it. Now that you didn't tip, I will have to pay it out of my pocket! "
I didn't understand everything because my French is not the best and she had an accent, but she said more things.
It was an extremely uncomfortable situation and we DO NOT recommend this place.

Not the fastest and wasn't too clean, I watched the person making my food wipe their nose with their hand, I questioned eating my food when I got it but paid first. So I just charged it to the game and said I wouldn't return.

This place is the under achiever between the laval location and this location on Jean Talon. The laval location always had (before the sale) better food and much more business - its crazy.

Just look at the number of reviews and scores.

This location is set in their ways and don't seem to see a better way. Not that its bad - but their is a better way. In their defense they are in a more competitive market- but it should make them try harder.

They need to crank it up a notch - change is good - I am speaking of the food only of course. The atmosphere and service should stay as it is.

Ordered 2 poutines came home to realise the fries were not cooked and were still frozen inside. Shame on you freeks

My best friend and I have three goto places to eat. Village grec is one of them. Their plates are huge, so try to not eat with your eyes, haha! I always end up ordering a pita plate and calamari. I’m not moving for the next day.

If you like Greek food, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy village.

Restaurant très très bon à emporter, portions bien plus que raisonnables (je suis un bon mangeur et j'en ai laissé)

This place is actually terrible, floors are legit sticky, wait way too long for subpar food, staff is super rude and don’t care about you

Love it here you can get a Gyro and Fry to go and eat it in the park across the street and it will cost you less than the McDonalds down the street.

Do not recommend. Either management or staff must’ve drastically changed from a few years ago. Staff put us on hold 4 times and were rude on the phone and when we picked up the order. The chicken pita was really disappointing - one tiny slice of tomato, dry with barely any tzakiki, essentially just a pile of onions. Please bring back the previous quality!

Authentic Greek food, delicious dishes, the portions are large and the prices are quite good.
Don’t expect a very elegant restaurant, it’s a small space with antique decor.
Highly recommended!

Simple yet delicious. The quality has not changed. It’s our go to place on Friday after school pickup. The warm inviting staff is always appreciated.

The waitresses treat you like family. The food is exceptional. I don't go anywhere else for my quick Greek fix. Their #30 marinated chicken is the best! I always order a 2nd to bring home. They're super understanding when you bring kids too.

They didn't have the gyros the day at went in. Had the plates with pork skewers. It was good.

J’ai commander avec uber. Le pita poulet semble petit comparer à d’autres restaurants. 1: 30 d’attente pour un pita et une assiette c’est moyen. En plus la nourriture ne venait pas dans un sac donc le plat/boîte a été livrer direct sur mon balcon… bref pas sûr de recommander.

Haven't ordered here In a while. The gyro was dry, and in little tiny bits instead of nice size morsels and some were so hard could not chew. The pita bread was cold and not fresh the tzatziki was nothing to talk about. The fries were luke warm. We literally live 5 mins away. The place is definitely not what it used to be won't be ordering here again.

Greek village is a steady value since time immenorial. ATTENTION though to all of these clientts stopping by to grab a take away and go.municipal police is lurking by like a snake in the grass handing over parking tickets for 3 minute parkibg violation
so you end up paying 80 $ for a souvlaki wrap

Delivery guy was lost and extremely rude, very hard to communicate with. Gave him a 20% tip anyways and he then proceeded to complain about how far this delivery was, but before placing the order the boss of the restaurant said it was ok. So I told him half-joking that I would just never order from them again and he said “Good, thank you! ”. Surreal.
Food was not only ice cold but also just horrible and there were maybe 5-6 french fries per plate. Avoid at all costs.

Still after all these years the best gyro in town.ordered tonight food was hot, fresh and most of all clean and delicious. Definitely worth it for anyone who enjoys Greek food or grilled meat

Walked in and there were three dudes with no masks at all yelling at the top of their lungs. This place isnt covid-safe, even for takeout.

Even before the Pandemic you got a sense that this legendary place had sort of given up. The food and the service isn't the shadow of what it used to be. It's "OK" as Greek food goes l, but it certainly isn't Village Grec.

Je commande habituellement là bas et je suis vraiment satisfaite, sauf que ma dernière commande m'a vraiment déçue. Les Gyro sont normalement très bien garnis et délicieux. Cette fois-ci, mon Gyro était à peine rempli, beaucoup de tzatzíki pour 3-4 morceaux de poulet.

This is a really great mom and pop authentic Greek restaurant at one time they had the best Souvlaki's in the city hands down. I love the decor and the charm of this place take's you back to a Greek Island or Greece during the war. Try this place I am sure you will love the food and the ambiance.

C’est un excellent détour à faire lorsque vous avez un creux et que vous cherchez un bon restaurant et surtout pas cher! Les plats sont bien consistants, savoureux et appétissants (comme vous pouvez le voir dans les images ci-dessous). Le décor du restaurant nous transporte quasiment en Grèce️: c’est magnifique. Food is always fresh but the stafff is really weird, waitress need to be better trained with greetings and other stuff.

Great restaurant for your Greek craving. The Gyro are made with actual lamb that are well seasoned and perfectly grilled. Every bite, you taste that crisped exterior with the soft and juicy interior.

This is a must go for any Greek food lover.

Feel of the restaurant is very warm and welcoming.

Quality isn’t what it might of been once before. Chewy and tough meat, soggy fires and impolite delivery. Will never order from there again.

C'est vraiment cher pour rien. Les frites étaient dégueulasses et graisseuses mais j' imagine qu'elles sont dans les normes de ceux qui ne bouffent que du fast food. Celles de A-W sont excellentes à côté de celles-ci. Le gyro était par contre bien garni et délicieux à part la tomate verte qui se trouvait dedans. Un gyro, une frite et une boisson gazeuse pour $14,00 taxes incluses. À quelques pas de là il y a d'excellents restos indiens qui pour le même prix servent de délicieux et copieux repas qui incluent soupe, entrée, menu principal, dessert, riz et pain à volonté.

Pour commencer, l’attente fut longue, la viande est arrivée froide, la salade chaude.
Ensuite, nous avions demandé du vin qui était bien chaud et donc bien dégueu.
Le retour à la maison fut un aller simple vers les toilettes chacun notre tour.
Je vous le conseille fortement en cas de constipation.

Cuisine Grec san prétention de qualité à des prix très raisonnable - Salade - Pita -Slouv! Aki - Gyro - Calamar - Grillade tous EXCELLENT

Had a pita souvlaki, home fries and we shared a greek salad. The pita was very supple, the tzatziki was super yummy and the fries, so crunchy and made to perfection! Service was quick, efficient and friendly! Time well spent and will definitely be returning.
