I really love this park. The pond has been refilled and the mommy and daddy and ducklings are swimming about. The free water refill station is next to the library. The sound of the water is so calming. Beautiful park. A must see.
Two very kind and witty gentlemen with the cutest puppy helped us get my kitten down the tree. I was too preoccupied checking if she had any injuries to notice that they already left If you are one of them or someone who knows them, please know or let them know, your quick thinking saved her life. Thank you so so much!
A large space, friendly neighborhood, lots of playing area, lake side locations for sitting, dog park, soccer playing field for both adults and young kids, tennis courts, swimming pool, all these in one park is tough to find. But the westmount park has everything that a family wants. It also has a cycling path to explore the neighborhood.
Parc très achalandé à toute heure de la journée. Beaucoup de chiens avec leurs maîtres et pas nécessairement propres. Itinérants présents et trop à l'aise dans le chalet des toilettes publiques. Parc propre cependant et bien entretenu.
I've played there when I was a kid with my siblings and have seen the changes over the years including the fall of one of the most beloved trees in Westmount that people can still sit on. Great for people watching as it has benches everywhere and a waterway in Summer with ducks. A playground, soccer field with easy access to the chalet washroom. A classic Montrealer way to spend an afternoon with loved ones of all ages.
Le parc est beau mais le terrain de foot ouvert au public est un désastre. Pourquoi ne pas en installer un en synthé? Et puis le fait d'en avoir un autre fermé au public est inadmissible! On paye nos taxes!
Here you'll find a dog park, children's playground, a pingpong table, workout installations, a soccer filed, small ponds and (and birds), and drinkable water tank to refill you bottles. Ps. Look around for trash bins - there isenough of them around so we can play our part to keep the park clean
Great park to have a picnic. Lots of people and things to do. There's a water area for kids to run around, tons of space to sit on benches and there's a park and soccer field.
There were cadets policing the area which made it feel very safe!
The park was cleaned and we noticed that the garbages were not overflowing even though it was a busy weekend during a holiday period.
Lovely park, full of greenery (perfect to provide shadow in the heat of the summer and beautiful when autumn arrives), little pond with lots of spot to sit with or without benches, even has a soccer field, a gorgeous gazebo with benches, a kid park with bigger and smaller attractions for children of various ages. Along the paths you'll get to read If Icouldn't be Anne inspired by Anne of Green Gables on the wooden boards, and fall in love with the illustration style of Genevieve Godbout, just one more treat for the eye. Not too far from Green St.with its many cafés and boutique, the neighbourhood surounding the park is little wonders of architecture and close enough to the subway to make it by Godbout. Perfect for an afternoon with your family or a little gathering with friends.
Always clean and of course it's Westmount so the budget is there to keep the grounds tidy and also great place for families enjoying pic-nics ans a simple down time.
It's not bad, but needs more places under roof and Walsh, for example THE PING PONG, it's not possible to play while windy. The small skateboard park should be bigger, there's plenty of children in the area that goes to this park. Also, more restrooms, we realized that there's one since just a couple of weeks ago, which we thank very much, but some more are needed, specially on weekends. Have a nice day!
Une chose à dire: wahoouuu ️ Je vais y retourner car la librairie était fermée, malheureusement la serre est aussi fermée mais c'est tellement beau ce parc. On se croirait dans un parc londonien?
In the middle of Westmount just of the shopping street, nice space for a little walk, plenty of benches, kids play areas, small coffee shop, washrooms (still open)
A serene park with sprawling walkways, a pond that meanders throughout the park, and a rich history. The park was commissioned in the late 1890s, it became home to Quebec's first library (Victoria Hall), and it's design was inspired by the work of Frederick Law Olmstead (the designer of NYC's Central Park and our own Mont Royal.)
Beautiful, well maintained park! Multiple soccer fields, tennis courts as well as places just to lay down. There is a slow 'river' running in the summer and a water playground too. It is also a great place to bring your kids at since there is a kids playground. To add to everything, there is a dog park. The floral work of this park is beautiful too. Right next to the city and the cycling path, great park!
Such a beautiful park! Amazing spot to read and relax. There are outdoor tennis courts and a big playground. A complete package for a family day out at a park!
Great park overall, large but not huge, and well-treed. Bathroom, playground, sports field, small artificial river. Just nice all around (bias alert! This was "my" park growing up in MTL).
One recent addition to the park is an adult exercise zone, near the ping pong table. There are only 2 machines but at least it may be the start of a more comprehensive workout area. The surface is a rubber compound so it is great for skipping or other calisthenics. Bring some crampons if you use it in the winter.
