I used to attend to Baladi Cardio since long time with the old teacher that used to teach that class was amazing, sad that she had to quit a. The new younger girl that was replacing her had never taught before, a lot of people complained that will not keep their membership at the gym, the gym replaced her with a more experienced teacher who already had a lot of teaching experience Zumba and Baladi, the new teacher is very energetic and engaging, her class was great. Will be attending again and again thanks World Gym

My experience at World Gym DDO has been exceptional. In large part due to PT coach Nick. He is everything you could want in a PT, he is accommodating, motivating, approachable, knowledgeable and will do everything his capacity to help you reach your goals.

Well equipped and maintained, flexible membership options.

However opening hours have gotten much worse and neither the staff, members or trainers put anything away leaving the workout areas a mess

The front desk is too busy playing on their phones and chatting to each other to clean up the gym areas or enforce tidiness policies on offending clients

I've been going here for a few months it has very welcoming and great staff. Nick Zeitouni is without a doubt a great trainer and has helped me with goals relating to my health and with every session I feel great and excited to come back to the gym every time.

If I could give a 0 star for customer service I would. I got diagnosed with cancer and have been receiving my chemotherapy treatments and for obvious reasons and doctors orders I am unable to attend the gym right now. I requested to freeze my account and provided them with a medical paper and they said that if they freeze the membership I still have to pay the monthly fees or I can cancel for $150 which I don’t want to do either because I wish to continue attending the gym post treatment. It’s been since January that I have been waiting for a call back from their “manager”. I have never had such an issue with any other gym, I really regret having signed up at Worlds. The last thing on my list to deal with while going through my sickness is to deal with unempathetic and ununderstanding customer service. It’s really time to consider re-evaluating your policy.

Good Gym, Eric Koam class was really great when he was teaching it. It's a pity that he doesn't run those classes anymore, as I would probably go again.

I came from Econofitness in January because of the pool, hot tub and sauna. This month I couldn’t use the sauna for 2 days and the hot tub is broken from the last weeks. This is not what I signed for. Besides, between April 17 to 21 the pool, sauna and hot tub will be close for maintenance. I am not an expert but maintenance for 5 days to clean a pool it seems a lot and this was not specified when I signed. Is my monthly subscription going to be less for all these days where I can’t use the services or I am going to pay for services I can’t use?

**CAMERAS IN THE LADIES CHANGING ROOM** they said only 1 person has access to it… that’s disgusting, they FILM YOU WHILE YOU CHANGE! Terrible gym! IF you sign up, ask for: cancellation fees (which they HIDE from you), opening hours (NOT 24 hours). Make sure to WALK around and check out the gym as a WHOLE and the restrooms/locker rooms to see it for yourself. Good luck!

No customer service culture. I bought the athletic package membership, and they lied to me, they told me that the vip locker was included in this type of membership, and it was not true. It took almost a month after I kept asking g for my access to the lockers that I was told that I had to pay extra for that service. The I booked my personal evaluation with aperso al trainer, and he spent an hour selling his sessions and he did not even took my, weight nor my body fat level, he just tried to sell me and sell me. Lastly, I signed up for a membership at this gym because they were 24hours, for the longest time they were not 24 hours. I tried canceling my membership as they were in breach of contract, and using misleading advertising to attract customers, I was threatened with legal actions, and they made it clear how powerful of a legal team they had behind the.at this point I am just waiting for my membership to expire. Stay away from this place.

Très déçu ces derniers mois, je me déplace à plusieurs reprises pour les cours de groupes et en arrivant, on ne trouve pas le coach et le comble, c'est que quand on demande à l'accueil personne n'est au courant, je me demande à quoi sert les réseaux sociaux, au moins faites des annonces quand il y a des absences.

***ATTENTION*** There are TWO ceiling cameras in the women's changing room.
There is a sign in the locker room that says you are being watched. (But you barely notice it). Before you get changed look at the ceilings! I have never seen a gym with so many cameras before. Besides that, the gym is great!

Terrible service, the people managing the entre are terrible and very mean. There was one lady in particular with a very big attitude and was in general very unprofessional towards a lot of people.

For the love of all things holy - ASK ABOUT THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY! FYI - there is none past 1/10 of the contract. Meaning whether you move, circumstances change so you can’t go, or financially can’t afford it - too bad so sad.

The head office is a JOKE and they jerk you around until you are so fed up with it all that you just pay and wait for the moment when you are finally free.

Same goes for the « semi-private » training, by the way. I work in healthcare and am no longer able to be available in the evenings and guess what - I have to pay $1000 for sessions I can’t use. Their answer? Transfer them to someone else.

Anyways this organization is a joke. The manager at DDO, Maher, is the only helpful one (even though he can’t help at all), he tries.

I left a negative review due to an unprofessional gym experience. Months ago, they did call me to ask me to remove my review! Can you believe that!
They said that they don’t want any bad reviews for the next customers coming in. How rude and unprofessional.
I expected them to resolve that issue and at least pay me back my money that I’ve been scammed or something! Nothing.
You deserve everything that’s been happening!

Just started up at the gym this month! And it’s been amazing! Always greeted by amazing, friendly & helpful staff! Love the facilities, clean, & bright! Tons of new, modern equipment! Classes are fun and the yoga is great! They even have a separate woman’s gym room! The pool, hot tub & sauna is definitely an extra! So happy I chose World Gym DDO!

Locker room spacious well devided you have section to change section to shower section for washroom clean spacious lockers. What i love is the corridor to go to the pool is so convenient from the women locker room. Staff are very helpful friendly smiley. The best thing is that they make you feel at ease without prejudice. Everyone is welcomed. Yes we are all different but we can all get to our goal step by step. I do recommend World Gym DDO. This is where i signed up. Get up and don't hesitate Sign your contract.

I love world gym, clean bathrooms, lockers and machines. Some gyms usually have some dirt spots but not world gym.
The coaches are really good.
The spa is my favorite part of the gym

Unprofessional management. Gym supposed to be open at 8am on Sunday but no one shows up even after 8: 30. Many people waiting outside gym for more than 30 minutes. Really disappointed.

One of the worst gym experiences. The staff is rude and highly unprofessional. I will not recommended any of my contacts to join this gym. They charge you and don't inform what you are being charged for. Staff definitely needs some training on customer service. 0/10

At first their service was great. But as soon as They attracted enough members their service turned to the worst between all the gyms in west island. They are charging the same price but the hours are keep reducing. Showers and bathrooms are extremely dirty. It takes them so long to fix the machines.

They charge fees left and right, hidden fees and they don't even mention them during the signing.very deceiving. Don't even sign anything before you read the whole contract yourself, or you will be surprised at the fees that they can charge you.

Update: I wrote this close to 6 weeks ago and the gym is still filthy and disgusting. Front desk staff told me even the manager just quit - haven’t been able to keep a manager more than a few months.

While I’m happy the gym is back open, I question if World Gym DDO was actually prepared to reopen. I would have thought/hoped that a competent cleaning crew would be top priority during these new times where sanitary measures have become the norm.
This gym appears to not have been cleaned once since the reopening. There is paper littering the floors, old used discarded masks lying around, hair covering the woman’s change room floor. There is a serious lack of paper towels and sanitizing spray not to mention the actual locations of the spray stations are no where near the weight machines which are highly used. Additionally the free weights are a disaster! They are not in any type of order making it very difficult to find the weight you want (if it’s even on the rack because most of the time they are strewn in various locations around the gym causing gym-goers to waste time looking for them).
The layout of this gym has also changed since the last lockdown. Nothing makes sense - machine plate racks are no where near the machines that need them!
If I attended this gym in the evenings, I could maybe understand things being a bit messy - but I arrive daily at 5: 12am.
It makes me wonder who is governing health and safety measures or client satisfaction if this gym is such an unsanitary unorganized disaster.

Very poor management. No one wears a mask, staff members don't care. Impossible to speak to a supervisor. The members there seem to be on the younger side and do whatever they want. Very unfortunate. I will not be going back to the gym. Not recommended.one positive: large size and new equipment.

Edit: As they suggested I wrote to them: They never responded, it's been almost an entire month. Some customer service. My suggestion to everyone, save yourself the hassle and please go to another gym.

The gym is huge, lighting is great, and the staff is always nice. The crowd and staff is definitely on the younger side. The gym is usually clean when I go.

The negative comments are inconsiderate of the fact that the gym opened right before the pandemic and had to open and close so many times in the last 2 years because of it. Following all of the government's confusing restrictions whilst maintaining customers satisfaction and staff and gym quality has probably not been easy, which is why we all need to be patient and considerate. I appreciate all that the gym is doing to accommodate its members.

Just one thing though - the loud hard metal music after 9: 30 pm is literally dreadful (for me anyway). I wish they could stop putting that. But aside from that, I love this gym and seeing it succeed despite the tough two years is really great!

Love this gym! I like that there is a womans only area upstairs that helps to focus as there aren't dozen of people around distracting you.
I had an issue with payments but Gladys and Spi helped me clear everything up. The whole team helped to be honest. Two other boys helped me as well at the beginning.forgot their names sorry! Very friendly customer service at your disposal which is key. Very happy with the gym this far!

I used to love coming here, but I don't think the gym has seen a broom or a cloth since the last reopening.absolutely disgusting.they've also gone and reorganized some of the equipment, but the plate racks are now all the way near the track, not anywhere near the machines that actually need them off in the corner.not that it matters, the racks are virtually empty because the plates are all spread out everywhere.the dumbell rack is all out of order too so I guess it's good for people who can't count, but a time waster for people ready to work who now have to search the whole place for their weight.
I've added some photos, unfortunately it's hard to see the amount of hair that's accumulated on the floor of the women's change room.clearly no one has passed through to clean in a long time.there are almost never paper towels in the dispensers, making cleaning your equipment after use a challenge.and they've eliminated the towel and spoosh spoosh station in the far corner so anyone at the squat rack now needs to trudge all the way back to the mat area for some cleaning supplies.the music is CRAZY loud!
would be nice if they put subtitles on the TV, really pointless to run the news otherwise.
Really disappointing that they haven't gotten their act together.

The worst gym experience of my life.
The gym is not open 24 hours.
I had two bad experiences because of that: first bad experience on a Saturday that is supposed to be open at 8h am the employee didn’t show up so someone else came for his shift came 15 mins late and didn’t knew the alarm code. (Not professional)
Second bad experience on a Saturday again: the employee came late again and I was waiting for more than 20 minutes outside. I was really frustrated. It never happened to me before waiting for the gym to be open.
I explained this situation to that same employee and he says I’m sorry it’ll never happen again. He said that I promise starting Monday the gym will be open 24 hours starting Monday the 20th septembre 2021. He lied to me.
I thought to cancel my membership it would have been free of charge: he says that you sign a contract at the very beginning for a whole year, if you decide to cancel you have to pay 180$ that I didn’t knew at the very beginning when I signed up to this gym. I know it’s my fault for not reading my contract. It’s also the employees fault for not informing me.
The 20 of September I get charged 35$ out of nowhere and another employee says that it’s a fee of every September and March to pay. Which I had no idea. These fees comes out of nowhere. The worst experience of my life even though I thought this gym would have been the best. Please I advise the managers to train 100% their employees because I’m sure most of them haven’t said anything about those fees.
Beware of this gym!
I’m going to buzzfit because I’ve had a great experience with them in the past. No problems, no hidden fees, no scamming customers. Buzzfit for me 5 star

Si tu te désabonne du gym il te font payer 115$ et les employés ne savent pas pourquoi? ! Il arrive qu'il mette des pencartes qui est marqué "brise" alors que la machine fonctionne il font ça uniquement pour les clients qui ont des entraîneurs personnelle et souvent l'entraineuse dit "non on utilise les machines" a peut près 4 machine de pris avec une pencarte pourtant on paye pour s'entraîner?

Disappointed because I signed up thinking this gym would be open 24-7 like its competitor. At first they said they didn’t have enough staff, but now I think they have no intentions of extending their hours. Once my membership ends I won’t be renewing.

The gym is great. It has a good variety of machines. Great price. I love how it has divided sections. Need to try the pool and the sauna to get the full experience, but even without it, I give it 5 stars.

When they have closed due to covid, they said they were obliged due to covid, but when i stoped coming because i felt unsafe until vaccination passport was adopted they said no you need to pay all the months you disnt come and pay regsitration fees and then start paying monthly. What logic is this? You have benefits from all the governement financial helps especially to not penalize the customer but you guys you eant the butter and the butter’s money:) capitalistic company with no feeling toward its customer. No comunications toward customer on how things should be done when they closed neither when they reponed. When i spoke to their customer service they said it is customer realonsability to look for information: world gym tell me plz in what planet are you living. I recommand to go to monster gym or buzzfit which are 100m far.

Updated September 19, you should have more staff, only 1 staff is not enough, there were no more paper towels and people were using the equipments without wiping them, because of these situations, down to 3 stars, dont get me wrong your only staff this morning was awesome.

The assistant manager Gihane, she was awesome, she just helped me with the lock in VIP locker.

- Loud annoying rap music. It would be fun that you switch it up once in a while instead of just catering to the 18 year boys. Or at least turn it down a little so I don't have to put my own music at max volume in my ears.

- Went to ask a question at the customer service counter at the end of my work-out. The girl there barely lifted her head from her computer screen, slouched, head in her hand, rolled her eyes. I don't think any paying customer deserves that, especially when I am just casually asking a question and not even complaining. The staff is always chilling at the counter, no-one does rounds in the gym. Overall lack of professionalism and class.

- People don't clean their machines.

- People walk in the gym with no mask and the employees don't do anything about it.

- The only saving grace is the equipment.

I joined yesterday after getting a tour with the lovely Vanessa! I trained today for the first time and this gym is just amaaaaaazing! Super clean, huge, great music, great vibe, great equipment and super nice staff! Perfect gym for me and I give it 2 and 5 perfect stars! Suoer psyched to return tomorrow!

Dirty, extremely disorganized, rarely open on time although it was supposed to be a 24 hours gym.
On top of that, my wife and I have been overcharged twice. And what is the solution they offer? We'll extend your membership once we reopen. Because of course, they keep taking money from our account even though they are closed. I wonder how many people are going through the same situation. Shady business practices.
Hopefully one day we will be refunded what these thieves have taken from us. Don't forget kids; you get what you pay for.

This gym is a rip off! They are charging my credit card but their gym is closed. Bunch of thieves! No customer service, email bounced back. They are hiding themselves. Not recommended unless you take the basic membership $10.99 but not worth upgrade
