I had the best experience today at X/S, by far. I've been going to that particular shop for the last 10 years for my piercing needs, so that tells you something.

I was helped by both Meggy, a siren-level ASMR-voice wielding wonder and Thea, a grounding and quirky personality combined with professional and social skills. Between the two of them, I felt like a VIP.

Meggy received me for my appointment and after showing the earrings options and running me through the paperwork, asked to watch and learn from Thea. Meggy did all the prep work necessary, and after talking with the both of them I offered for Meggy to do the piercing. She had previous experience, and it showed because she was SMOOTH.

Thea told me how she's a rising star at X/S (my words) and I believe it, from my own experience.

Thea also impressed me. I had numerous questions about different piercings, different jewelries, their experience at the shop, a potential artist there I wanted to check out, all the things. I was a chatty cathy, and not only did she answer fully and flawlessly, she also seemed to appreciate it.

Not necessary by any means for the job, but a perk all the same. And it was very comfortable knowing I was dealing with an experienced, easy-going and fun piercer. I had so much fun that I'm planning out what piercings I can get next. Honestly, the best types to be in sales, they made me want to spend money (was also affordable, so that wasn't an issue)

I've gotten four piercings there and all the staff I had to deal with were so nice and helpful! Def recommend. Also my go-to place for tattoos, I have gotten so many compliments on them and they were done by Saba!

Amazing service from Nico and Vanessa. Nico was so kind when I needed help getting a piercing out for surgery and Vanessa was so sweet and helped me out getting some new jewelry to put back in after.

My sister and I spontaneously decided to get a new ear piercing each. We walked into the shop with the intention of just getting some info, and we had the pleasure of being greeted by Thea. They checked their schedule and took us in to get pierced on the spot, plus they were super patient while we picked our jewelry… but the best of all was how reassuring they were while I got my ear pierced (I am scared of needles but they walked me through all the steps and were super gentle). We left the shop feeling extremely happy and in love with our piercings! Thank you, Thea:)

Just went with my daughter for naval piercing. Tia was excellent and so knowledgeable. They did an anatomy check up and spoke about scaring and not recommending considering posture etc. Was so grateful for their expertise!

I had several tattoos done by a few artists and every tattoo I’ve gotten at X/S tattoos is phenomenal and each tattoo artist I’ve seen and had artwork done by on my body has been polite, respectful, courteous and amazing.

Great staff, cool vibe in these clean premises! My tattoo artist is Saba - excellent results! Had a wonderful session with her and looking forward to my next one in June!

Really nice staff! I went in for a vertical labret and Nico was so nice with me, and patient since I’m really scared of needles. I went in another time to change my jewlery since I was having a bit of issues with the healing process and the person that helped me was so kind, gentle and reassuring. I really recommend this place

Got pierced by Elizabete and it was my best piercing experience ever! She was super professional, gave amazing advice and insights. Also, she was super nice and welcoming! She explained every step of the process and made the piercing experience so much fun and easy. And her positive energy and love for piercings are just so contagious. I will definitely come back for more piercings with Elizabete. She was awesome!

Not a pleasant customer service experience sadly - I had placed an order regarding my custom BVLA piece but there was miscommunication regarding the actual price, the best fit for my ear anatomy & curation, and the procedure on ordering custom pieces given my requirements. I was able to get a better price for the same exact piece elsewhere at another independent piercing shop (ParadiseMTL) so I will be going with them. I was told that e-transfer was the only way to receive my deposit refund, which was strange (where it should be charged back onto the original payment type). However, they do have selection of some beautiful pieces on hand! Some work is needed on customer service: (

Thea, on the other hand, was wonderful in helping me out and clarifying anything needed, but the two earlier staff members at reception I encountered were not helpful and cold towards customers.

I saw Eli for two lobe piercings. She was awesome! She is patient, informative, and really nice. Definitely recommend.

Always a pleasant experience for all my piercing needs with Thea and Nico. If ever you want a new piercing or to upgrade your jewelry dont hesitate to go see them!

My partner wrote their pronouns on the form and the piercer was very chill. But the receptionist misgendered him on purpose in front of him.

He’s still dysphorics days later and I am extremely disappointed in a space that I was sure should have been a safe space.
