Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill

First time in this location of the Orchard, and it was lovely. Loved the atmosphere, and the fireplace was a perfect place to thaw ourselves after a cold day!

I visited this restaurant with the team from work.
Maybe it's somehow famous, but it seemed regular to me, nothing special, customers pay something for the name, the service is too friendly, with questions that shouldn't be.
If you come in large numbers, then expect it to be too tight.
Very noisy.

Went last night and sat on the terrace and ordered the fish tacos, great ambience and service. Our server Gaby served us quickly and with a smile, I recommend asking for her as your server!

Great food, excellent service. I had bangers and mash, with two sausages, one with smoked cheese inside (yum). Good selection of beers. My two friends had chicken burger and beef burger. Unfortunately (ha!) I had to finish off my friend's burger. Nice they allow well-behaved dogs on the patio. Great service although might be a bit slow for other people. Nice shady ambience on the patio under a huge maple tree. We'll be back. Bilingue Anglais et Français.

Very pleasant outdoor seating although the chairs a but low or the table a bit high or maybe we need to grow taller! Service very good and prompt, prices well suited for 'Pub.food', the Orchard Hamburger was moderately okay (bun/ bap lets it down and not a fan of soggy, limp chips although that's historically Irish!), Caesar salad although not traditional, was tasty as was the entrée serve of calamari. The downers; calamari served on an unwashed plate with visible old tomato sauce and crumbs under the paper sheet, cutlery needed a wash, serviettes and more salt had to be requested, small Caesar salad charged as full (husband didn't check billing at time, expected it to be correct), Happy Hour prices on drinks disallowed as we "didn't pay for them in that time" period.
Would I recommend? Yes, after these small grievance comments, we would return. (we'll take cushions!).

Went for lunch on the terrace on a beautiful Saturday. Great atmosphere, our waitress Shauna was fantastic.

Food was not good sadly. I had the fish n chips. It's a big boy, but it's 80% batter. The batter is so thick, that the inside doesn't cook properly and just ends up being mushy. Flavor wasn't special either. I wasn't the only one who didn't enjoy the fish n' chips as I saw somebody else who ordered it barely even touch it before he returned it. Also had nachos and wings, it wasn't anything special.

Summary:
Come here for great vibes and good beer specials. But don't order the fish n chips, or maybe don't even eat here

The fish and chips were amazing! I have lived on the WI my whole life and this was the first time I went - absolutely delicious. Warm and friendly service. We will return.

The food was really good and the service was quick, we had to sit indoors. The only issue was that there was a humidity smell inside. It needed better ventilation and more dehumidifier around the indoor.

What a great way to start our visit in downtown Montreal. Delicious food, great service and atmosphere. Their nachos and homemade salsa was fire & their wings and curries were absolutely delicious. Definitely a place we’d return to anytime we visit Montreal.
