I will start off noting that the vets here really are amazing, as well as the techs. The majority of staff is wonderful. Unfortunately there are 2 front desk staff that on several different occasions are very rude, and unprofessional to interact with. After the distasteful behavior of the girl at the front desk tonight I'm seriously considering not returning to this clinic to avoid further interaction with said staff. It's a shame how 1 or 2 rude employees can really poison the whole well. It isn't that difficult to be nice to people.

I’ve received nothing but friendly and compassionate services from these guys for years. Both a dog and a cat, including a euthanization a few years ago. Reception has been great, and our vet tech Hailey was notably personable. Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from because I’ve had opposite experiences.

Thought we going to lose our cat but 24 Hr Animal Care Center saved her. Very Professional, Friendly and caring staff. They kept us informed about our cat's condition with regularly updates during her stay there and followed after her return home with monitoring her almost daily! Why their review isn't 4+ I have no ideal!

My dogs go to another clinic in the city but are they are closed on weekends. I needed to push up my dog’s appt to put him down as he ended up getting very sick and weak over the weekend. I talked to Tanner to book the appt and he was very compassionate and got us in the same day. Our dog passed away in the room while we waited for the vet to come in and the staff and doctor acted very quickly and they were all amazing! They made the process a lot easier for us and were clear what the next steps were. Very thankful for the kindness and empathy we were shown from start to finish of our experience ️

We needed end of life care for our dog on what happened to be a Friday night. I was hesitant based on these reviews but we had nothing short of an amazing experience. We called ahead to ask if there was a vet available for euthanasia and when we arrived reception, Sidney, Matt (perhaps not the right names) and Dr Eastman were nothing short of amazing, compassionate, and understanding with our wishes. They guided us through the entire thing and we did not have to wait. It was peaceful and we are so so thankful for this service. Nothing is cheap when it comes to vet care but our cost was as expected.

Over the years we have had no choice but to take two of our pets here to be, put down. Not sure where they get these vets but the first time there was no explaination as to what was going to happen they brought the dog back with an IV and as I was holding her they pushed the syringe and walked away with not a word. I wasn't sure if she was sedated or gone.
With the second they took the old girl into another room, which is totally unnecessary to put the IV in, allowed her to walk back into the room with us and before she got to us to pet her they pushed the syringe and she collapsed on the floor.
This is not acceptable. We will use a vet that comes to the home if requiring this service in future, they don't seem to have understanding of their actions on the pet or owners.

This clinic should be ashamed and sued for malpractice. I cannot believe the disrespect I recieved while my dying cat was in their care. Best part? He was dying because of their lack of care. I am SO glad I pulled Lincoln from this clinic after his nightmarish overnight stay and brought him to Lakewood animal hospital where they revived him. Lincoln was only a few months old and I have never been so traumatized by a business before in my life. The manager even called me out for swearing at her employee which I can assure you never happened. Was I a crying wreck on the phone? Absolutely! But my kitten was dying and noone was keeping me in the loop, or even tending to him! Everytime I called they said "we haven't gotten to him yet" and this is why he almost died. I worked at a vet clinic in Ontario for eight years and this place would have been shut down IMMEDIATELY in Ontario. Disgusting. If you love your pets and are a good, educated owner. Avoid this place like the plauge. Rude staff. So unwelcoming. I felt like a burden for bringing my kitten there and for calling to check in that he was still alive.

I was referred to the 24 Hr Animal Care Clinic in Regina after an emergency visit to the vet in Moose Jaw. We were met at the door with kindness and compassion which continued throughout the duration of his 3 night stay. The vet called every 12 hours with updates on our dogs status. They were able to send photos of him to me after being unable to accommodate a visit (completely understandable, they are very busy!) Both the vets and vet techs were knowledgeable and were willing and able to answer any questions we had. The night I left my dog at the vet I came home and began reading reviews hoping to be reassured that he was in good care. I was concerned at the low ratings, until reading further when realized almost every negative review had to do with the cost of care. While I can understand that being met with a costly bill during an already stressful moment is not ideal, I don’t understand how so many people can relate covering to the costs of salaries, equipment, medications, etc.to the vets not having compassion for the animals and owners. This was my first experience at this particular clinic and all of the financials were handled professionally. They provided a quote with itemized costs and admitted that they quote high in hopes to avoid having to present owners with unexpected costs during treatment. They also said that they would refund whatever costs weren’t needed during treatment. Which they did. Almost 1/3 of our bill was refunded without hesitation. I can’t thank this clinic enough for everything they did for my baby boy and he is home safe and sound all because of them.

Absolutely horrible. We took our cat in mon night to have her checked out as she was lethargic and losing weight. She is extremely important to us so of course we wanted help asap. We had 2 doctors telling us 2 different things (antobiotics wont help by 1 and antibiotics could help by the other). First doctor spoke to us with no compassion whatsoever. They did tests where they couldn't tell us anything that was wrong with her besides anemia and no tumours. (Update, a vet we just took her to at another clinic looked at the same x-rays and told us the intestines looked abnormal which we werent told at the 24 hr clinic so got her on a stool softener asap) I had to assist them to put fluids in her or they weren't able to do it (which i had to suggest). Did not get a printout of any of the results. We had more questions last night and she threw up her meds and was walking funny so needed guidance (do I give her another dose or not?) We also needed an appetite stimulant of some sort as the med they had her on was taking away her appetite, she would have died if we didnt decide to syringe feed her, again without their guidance as we had no choice. We needed the vet to call us, we were told she would. No call. Called this morning, the notes were "no time to call bring her in for another checkup" or something along those lines, nobody even bothered to call us to tell us that or ask the vet our questions and get back to us. I totally agree with the other reviews. These crooks are only out to get your money. Spent all this money to have to go to another clinic who actually cares.

Family dog was brought in to be put down and as the dog was passing away they were wanting payment right away. We are trying to morn our animal passing away but had to be interrupted over something like that. The price is way too high. $560 just to put my animal down. It's just horrible. I wouldn't recommend going here. I'm so sorry if it's your only option.

Terrible customer service, couldn't get 30 seconds into a conversation without the receptionist explaining stuff she far from understood. 3 minutes on YouTube told me more than what this "vet clinic" is qualified to. They're apparently "24 hour" but can't book until the next day, nice to know I have people to rely on if any of my pets are about to die. Can't wait until I move far away from this pathetic excuse these people consider compassion

Like others have said. I was not able to make an emergency appointment after my dog ingested chocolate raisins because “i was not on file”, doesn’t matter that i’m on her adoption and microchip papers. I then had to hang up just for my partner to call back and waste time creating a file for me instead of getting on with an appointment for my dog. The veterinarians and techs themselves have been nothing short of amazing when we’ve seen them. However, the front end staff need an entire makeover. As an honest feedback, I think the reception would greatly benefit from taking more time to explain why certain procedures have to be followed, and why protocols are in place. Take the time.

Our 14 year old cat wasn't doing well and needed to see a vet on the long weekend. On such short notice couldn't get in to see our regular vet or 3 others that I called, so ended up here on short notice. Called at 10am, had an appointment at 4: 30pm. Front desk staff were good, the tech (Megan I think) was really good a caring, and the vet, Dr. Herberger, was excellent. The office and consultation rooms are very clean. They gave us a low and high estimate and had to pay before the work was done. Blood and urine tests were back within an hour and had an answer, some meds, and were headed home within 2 hours. The cost for the consultation and tests was pretty much exactly the same as our regular vet. We did wait quite a while longer than we were told for the test results, but that was due to emergencies that came in. Overall, very happy with the staff, services and cost.

My dog developed an ulcer on her eye and all vets where closed. We took her here as she was in pain. They have us 2 eye drops for her. We followed all instructions. A few days later we wake up and her eye ruptured. It was Canada Day (a stat) unfortunately. The eye drops didn’t work and it cost us $2000 for my dog to lose an eye. 2000 is way to much but we did it anyway because she was suffering. I didn’t think much of her care until recently her other eye got an ulcer. We took her to the animal clinic of Regina this time and they were amazing! They gave her 6 eye drops and pain killers. They even made her her own customized eye drops with her blood platelets! They saved her eye. I’m devastated at the fact that if she had gotten better care her other eye could have been saved. I’m grateful this place exists for emergencies but some serious changes need to happen specifically pricing and educated vets.

Adopted a kitten from the humain society. 11 week old. Came with a "free examination" within 14 days just have to pay for the vaccines.

Bring in the kitten.get the "free examination" but says his vaccines are due in 1 week. They schedule his vaccination.

I called to ask how much will it cost me for his vaccination? They said $23.

Bring the kitten in for his vaccine. Then the vet offer dewarming for $20 ish extra. Said yes.

Total: $163? They charge me a $90 examination that was never mentioned and I never agreed too. The kitten just got his "free examination" last week. This was only for his vax. SPOKE WITH 3 different people. One was Dr. Ashley Eastman. (Not very nice)

Ended up paying for vax and dewarming (as I agreed too) but I have outstanding bill of $90 and can't go back until paid.

Oh the $90 exam was heart breathing and weight.

Make sure BEFORE you bring your pet what you looking to pay. I don't recommend this place. Money grab.

Been to this location only 2 times. The first time was for my dog who has really bad allergies around summer/fall. They got me in pretty quick which was nice but when it came for payment, they are extremely pricey especially for an allergy shot which was $300.00, I went to another vet afterwards and only paid $190.

The Second time I came here, my kitten whom was only 7 months at the time, was gravely sick, they took him from me right away, tried to proceed with tests I did not want them to do cause I couldn't afford it, then told me that I should put him down or else they wouldnt give him back to me because of how sick he was. I took the choice them to put him down, and they were trying yo get payment from me asap (especially since.the receptionist was about to go home for the night) and my card wasn't working so I had to get my boyfriend to rush over at 1 am. Finally paid and they instantly injected the euthanasia and only gave us around 20mins max to spend time from his passing.this clinic is just a money grab and doesn't care for their customers as you here from other reviews. If I could of went to another clinic/waited another day for my cat, I would have.

Took my pup here last night because she got attacked by another dog. I was kind of concerned because of reading the reviews. However we had a great experience here. Reception was friendly, the vet tech was friendly and very helpful and the vet was also very friendly and helpful. I felt the prices were fair and the staff was professional. They even gave our dog a complimentary nail trim. I'm not sure what's up with the negative reviews, but we had a very good experience here.

We first took our dog to the 24hr Animal Care Center when she was quite sick. We phoned ahead and they let us know when they'd be able to see her. Dr. Kahlon was the vet we saw and I can't say enough great things about him. He was thorough, provided us with choices and together we came up with a care plan for her.
We took her there this week to get her spayed and again the care was fantastic. They called as soon as she was out of surgery to let us know how she was doing. When we picked her up, they gave us thorough instructions on how to treat her at home. Two days after the surgery, they called to see how she was doing and to see if we had any questions or concerns. I defiantly would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for animal care.

Completely unprofessional staff, within minutes of being notified that my family pet had passed away suddenly, the front desk staff were more concerned about how I was going to pay rather than allowing my daughter and I to view our family member for the last time. No empathy at all, just worried about money. I will be filing a complaint. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Oh my god, I came here with my dad and I because we woke up with our dog paralyzed from the waste down. Every single vet was closed because it was a Sunday. So we came to the VET EMERGENCY. First I walk in alone without my dog because how am I supposed to carry a paralyzed dog around with me while I talk with them right? I start talking with a nice lady at the front and I explain to her what happened. After thinking they will take him. My dad brings him inside and my paralyzed dog who can barely balance him self is over here on this slippery floor. I ask them to take him in a room where he can be safe so he won’t slip and fall. They take him. An hour passes Im called into a room. They said either surgery but it’s very risky so we took him home for the day to rest until we can go to a mobility center with my dog the next day. Before them bringing him back. A girl who looked around 16-20 brings my dog inside and puts him on a table. WHERE SHE ALMSOT DROPS HIM TO THE GROUND! Like as a 14 year I even understand how messed up that is. That my dog! Almost got dropped. Thank god i reacted quickly and saved him. If you have an actual emergency and can’t wait bring your pet here. My experience wasn’t good.

24 hour vet has saved my cat multiple times (he's prone to health issues) They have always taken my concerns seriously and have always shown sympathy and professionalism when dealing with my animals. The staff is incredible and show your pet (s) a lot of love! They have always been able to get my pet an appointment immediately (if it's an emergency) or within a day (non-emergency).

I called the clinic to get their advice for my pug that had eaten some fallen dental floss. They spoke with the team and advised to induce vomiting as it had just happened and there are concerns with dogs eating strings and it getting tangled in his system. I brought him in and they immediately cared for him and provided me an update that the floss was removed from his system.
You do pre-pay for services on arrival, but they reimbursed some due to not needing as much medication, so please note it is not all about the money (as I have seen multiple reviews stating) and they do genuinely care for your pet. They offered to send the notes to my primary clinic, and offered support in my pet insurance (I didn’t need it but was thankful for the offer). It was disheartening to see so many negative reviews when to me it was apparent that everyone was doing their best!

This is a very mixed review. I can not say one bad thing about the care received. They were very kind, helpful and compassionate. My issue, like many others, was the cost. My sons 19 year old kitty had gone downhill very quickly in the late evening and it was obvious she needed euthanization. They are the only clinic open so I brought her in. They ended up charging for a "consultation euthanization" because she'd not been there before. Nothing extra was done compared to what would have happened if she was a current patient. The entire appointment took 10 minutes at maximum. You basically pay a service charge for not being a current patient. Bottom line is they provide very good service but at a very high cost. I think they take a little bit of advantage of people who are in desperate situation.

My dog cut her leg open on a barbwire fence pretty good on Victoria day. Unfortunately for us, this was the only Animal Clinic open that we could find. When you call there, the answering machine suggests its an emergency room service, and to just come in. We live an hour away, so we drive into the city. We arrived at 10: 30am, I carried my dog inside as her she couldn't walk due to the pain. The reception indicated that they were by appointment only, which and told us to come back at 1: 30pm. I asked if they could help me wrap my dogs leg while we wait, as it was gaping open, they would not. However, allowed me to purchase a cone and a nice lady did help me put it on. We waited our turn for three hours and came back for 1: 30pm. The receptionist (who was much younger than me) kept calling me "hun" and "my dear" which was weird and made me uncomfortable. We were taken into the room, and an even younger girl came in to weigh my dog, vitals, etc. Which was fine. After another wait the vet came into the room. She hardly even LOOKED at my dogs leg, had zero empathy and said "I will write up a estimate" and left the room. She was in there 30 seconds tops! After a while longer yet ANOTHER lady came in and handed me a estimate for $2000.00! I burst into tears as I could not afford to pay this outrageous amount for my dog to have stitches. The lady stood there looking at me for a second then awkwardly left the room without explaining anything on the estimate to me, what my dog needed to have done, etc.a while later she came back in and handed me a bill for $200.00 and told me the ladies would help me up front and left. I was so angry and could not believe my eyes how they treated us so hostile/ didn't even care that my dog was cut that badly. I asked them if they could at least help me wrap my dogs leg because again, it was gaping open and sore and exposed to infection, etc. She told me nope that would require shaving it and going with the estimate that was provided. Left there with my dog unattended to, and paid $200.00 for literally NOTHING! ** The next day i took my dog to the vet on Sask drive, they were welcoming, loving, accommodating, kind, and fixed her up for $350.00! **. I would give this clinic ZERO stars but it wont let me, so it gets a one. DO NOT GO HERE! They should be ashamed of the people they have working there. How could you be a vet with no empathy or remorse for animals! UNREAL!

The service is very very very bad only there working too collect money and they doesn’t care about the animals so they stealing all the money from the clients and some doctors doesn’t know what they do that’s exactly what it’s happened with my pets over there I don’t go back to this clinic

We took our dog Lucy there after she cut herself, and by cut I mean she cut her whole side open. The staff at 24hr Vet Clinic were amazing from day one. Due to the severity of the cut they had to remove damaged skin which made it pretty much impossible to stitch. We did try but ended up having to go another route. We basically had to let her cut heal from the inside out. Everyone was so flexible with our schedule, we had to go for bandage changes every 2-3 days at the beginning sometimes twice a day if she was able to rip her bandage off the staff always got us in. It was a long journey but as of this week we can now clean her cut from home. We just wanted to say thank you all for being so accommodating and treating Lucy so good, she’s already missing her car rides and treats from you all! Thanks again!

We were reluctant to bring our end of life family member in because of all the bad reviews but we had a 3: 30am emergency and they were our only option.
We were pleasantly surprised and so thankful for their kindness during one of the worst days of our lives. Dr. Brassard was compassionate, honest and competent. She explained everything and what we should expect ahead of time. Her and her staff offered patience while our family made the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make.
I am grateful they helped provide the peaceful transition that our guy deserved.

Pets become family members, and when family members get sick, things can get pretty emotional.
I’m not saying these people who have left poor reviews didn’t have a poor experience, but our experience was a good one. (All things considered)

I live an hour out of the city I phoned and said my cat had gotten into some trail mix after learning raisins may be toxic to cats. I asked for a ball park figure to make my kitty induce vomiting and was told just bring it in. I get there they take my cat for assesment where I am told to wait a lady comes out with a piece of paper a bill she sits down beside me and says this is what your looking at to start a bill for 260 dollars to make my kitty puke With no guarantee. Instead I stopped at shoppers to grab a dropper and some charcoal beads. I mixed up some salt water which did the trick raisins out. Thanks shoppers for the free advice and dropper I understand a business has to make money but get real 260 dollars lick my kitty's a s s!

Had a pet in congestive heart failure and she spent the entire day at the clinic. Dr Brassard was wonderful but their front end staff need come telephone etiquette. I was double charged on my credit card in error and was asked to return the next day for a refund. When I returned the next day I called From my car when I arrived and gave my name and the reason I was there. I was rudely interrupted by a smug little girl who said and I quote “I have NO idea who you are, I’m going to need a LITTLE bit more information. ”
Long story short, she laughed, interrupted me and made sure to tell me I had pushed the wrong button…. All while I am the one being inconvenienced by driving across town because of their clerical error and have a dying dog at home. My dog died in my arms later that day. To the girl who laughed… I have a message for you, and you know who you are… BE KIND, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE PERSON ON THE END OF THAT PHONE LINE IS DEALING WITH

Negative stars deserved. Where do I start? Refusing to give me prices before I sign in, 'I could not do a complete exam' 'where else are you going to go? We are the only place open! " Limiting access to us and our pet, and when informed that we're going somewhere else they call animal protection. This could easily be interpreted as extortion. After explaining this, I was denied a case number from animal protection. I got the medical treatment for the animal at about 40% of the cost they wanted. The other vet didn't get bit trying to examine either. Trust your dog's intuition. They know who cares and who are trying to maximize profit. Feel free to contact me if you're interested in suing this company, I would love to help.

I put my dog down in March of 2021. As it was happening all I could hear was the other staff laughing outside the door. Was not a great experience at all. Considering what I was going through. Not professional at all. I will never go
Here for anything again.
