January, 2024. There superior staff and customer service has again help me improve the security of my home. From first contact by me requesting the quotation to the instalation of more security sensors for my home they've outperformed once again. Greatly appreciate AlarmTek and the staff!
July 13/2022. In late June 2022 there was an issue with some of the motion sensors not functioning as expected, the tech at the call centre help me troubleshoot a few things and then ended up sending out a field tech to review and adjust the motion sensors. This field tech also took the time to explain more of the sensor functionalitys to me.
In the last few days I've been having an issue with the dog setting off a motion sensor, to confirm this I completed some of my own testing which was then confirmed by another field technician. So once again they came back to my place to fix it up and ensure that not only is the system functioning correctly he also moved the trouble motion sensor to another location, to hopefully stop the dog from setting it off (she's an 80 lb animal) PLUS they installed a glass break sensor to cover the back door ALL FOR FREE! Very pleased, thank you AlarmTek.

Excellent service, very knowledgable on issue and equipment and explaining what he was doing and why. I called after they left as there still was an issue with one camera and it was rectified remotely. And because it was a replacement feature there was no charge - BONUS!

You have options - do not use these people. Prices are high, customer service is non existent (with the exception of their service team). Went without service for months - no one would even bother to call me back. Service is still not working - please beware - they refuse to make it right

He pivoted quickly despite the many challenges that occurred with the installation and yet again as a returning Alarmtek customer, extremely happy to have chosen them in the first place!

For 3 days our equipment was malfunctioning and alarm tech didn't know even though we paid for monitoring nobody called to let us know things were wrong even though they saw it when I called.they also told us it was our internet and had shaw check our internet 2 times and all was fine.they never offered for a technician to come resolve our problem and wanted to charge us for repairs on equip less than 2yrs old. I bought out the equipment threw it in the garbage and went to telus and never been happier

We received good personal service at every level.tech support, sales, installation & billing. Nice to have loyalty dollars applied to our total bill. Thanks. We'll continue together for another 6 years.

We had a great experience with AlarmTek. Melissa (Sales Rep) gave us all the information we needed to make an informed decision on what we required for our home security. Our security equipment installer was terrific. He gave us valuable insight into where the best place is to install the security cameras outside and a motion sensor inside with very little disruption to our home. We highly recommend AlarmTek for all your security needs!

The customer service at the start was great, everyone was really helpfull.
I could not have been happier with the gentleman (Bruce) that installed the system.
Now we get to the part I am not impressed with. I have had a piece of equipment fail (around a month old), tried to use the online help but was unable to get on it as aparently my email address is not recognized, so I called tech help, all I got was an answer machine that told me I would get a call back from them. STILL WAITING. So much for being able to talk to a human instead of a machine as promised.
I guess we will see what tomorrow brings.
UPDATE.
So was finally contacted, and had a very apologetic gentleman on the phone, promised to get a tech out to sort the problem, which they did. Once again the installer was great, very knowledgeable and polite. Had a call after it was all fixed to ensure all had gone well, updated my star rating from 2 stars to 4 as they did finally do as they promised.

Six months on and once again i feel i have to update this review, 4 times now we have had the system and cameras go down with no notification that there i a problem. If we call them we are told it is our internet. Which we have provenit is not. The last time we called and we got the same answer, then we were told they would call us back, that was 3/4 weeks ogo and we're still waiting. Once again the system has gone down again with no notification. This is unacceptable and i am feeling the Better business bureau should be informed as this system is cheap garbage and it does not perform as sold to us. STAY AWAY!

Customer service is lacklustre at best. It’s your fault when their 3rd party installers incorrectly install the equipment. Not to mention they show up with a roll of duct tape and a high vis vest and ask to borrow your tools/ladder. Absolutely pathetic.
Camera quality is like watching through a Motorola razor camera.
All in all pretty disappointed with AlarmTek, will not be renewing my contract with them. Was a waste of hundreds-thousands of dollars.
Take it from me, go to a REPUTABLE dedicated security company not this 3rd party pyramid scheme scam.

AlarmTek has been great to deal with. Both the office staff and install tech.were very friendly and helpful with removing our old system and installing their products. They followed up with us to make sure we were still happy and everything was working as expected.
