I had gone to backside because I was having troubles with my bindings staying tight on my snowboard.the nest week I went to Ferni to board in the mountains.halfway through the first day my binding ripped off my board because I was told to take the washers out of my bindings at backside.this company will never get my service again after ruining a pair of expensive bindings for me.

Just loaded up on Christmas stuff and the staff was so friendly and super helpful. I'm looking forward to returning for more after Christmas to set us up for a year of riding

Read This Before You Shop Here

My sister-in-law went here to shop for bindings for her very first snowboard. Not knowing much about snowboards or bindings, she asked an employee to help her find the right ones. She told the employee what kind of board she had and the employee found her a set of bindings to match it. Trusting the employee's advice, she took the bindings to the till and bought them.

When she got home she realized that the bindings did not fit her board, and upon researching why, realized that they were in fact men's bindings. Unfortunate as it was, she assumed she would be able to bring them back to the store along with the receipt and return them.

When she went back to the store to return the bindings the cashier told her that they did not accept returns on "hard goods". My sister-in-law then asked why they didn't tell her that when she bought them, and the cashier responded by saying that the policy is printed on the receipt. Receipts, however, are only printed after the transaction is complete, so she did not receive a fair warning.

My sister-in-law tried to explain the situation, how she relied on the advice of their employee and was ultimately misled into a $300 purchase. The cashier upheld their position that the policy could not be overlooked.

She then decided to call the store to speak with the owner. The store manager answered the phone, and with an impatient and irritable tone proceeded to tell her that she could not speak with the owner and that he would call her back. Over a week later and she has not heard from the store.

I felt it was important to share this experience with the general public. If you shop here, you should be very sure of what you need and have done your research beforehand. Because if an employee unintentionally misleads you, you will not be able to return your purchase and you will be stuck with a potentially very expensive item that you cannot use. I feel bad for my sister-in-law and I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.

UPDATE:

The store responded to her with this deceitful message:

"We're sorry to hear this is your experience. We're sorry you felt mislead but after reviewing with the staff member who helped you and reviewing our video footage it has shown you picked up the men's bindings, then proceeded to show a picture of your board on your phone. Our staff explained to you that the bindings you picked out were mens. Then he proceeded to show you the women's bindings and explained the difference and either would work. When he explained the difference you stated you preferred the men's ones as they matched your board better. As for the return, unfortunately you paid for over half of the bindings with a pre paid card which we can not put money back on a pre paid card. As our machine needs the same card. We then offered to return the amount you paid on your own card and a credit to the shop for for the remainder you used the pre paid card for. That is our policy. We did try to offer our best solution. You then phoned the shop after you left and spoke to the owner twice, which he also offered the same solution. If you would like to discuss this further I would be happy to call you. "

They said that the men's bindings would work for her board and they did not. They are missing the point that their employee gave out misleading information.

And my sister-in-law phoned and spoke to the manager once, who said that she could not speak to the owner. There was no two phonecalls with the owner.

Very unfortunate to see how they responded with lies.

This is a cool.store lots of great brands under one roof. But even better was the amazing staff.all helpful and very friendly. I'd say some of the best CUSTOMER service that I've had in saskatoon!

Store is ok! The guy that helped us was great. Here's my biggest issue with this "Board shop". My son and I went to get him a new skate deck.they have 50-100 complete boards (starter package) and 6 skate deck to choose from, experienced skaters don't buy completes.more decks less completes!

They have alot of space and many choices of products. Water skis, long boards, skateboards, clothes, swimming suits. When we came in we picked up a skateboard for my wife who just started skateboarding. Thanks for the assistance.

Had a great experience! Staff is friendly and helpful. I purchased a pair of boots recently and had no problem finding the right pair thanks to their help and guidance.

I bought a helmet and goggles. In my possession for less then 24 hours. I went to return and ended up with an in-store credit. A credit that will probably never get used. I spent $219.76 at a store when I could have ordered online, saved myself some money. Yes I do know the policies but a little leeway.

My go to for everything snowboarding. Awesome staff and very knowledgeable about everything from boards to goggles. Best shop in town by a mile.
