Dear Best Buy,

I see a lot of bad reviews on Google and I will be adding my own.

We went today exhchange an Xbox Series 2 Elite controller for another one. First issue is there wasn't another in stock. Second issue was trying to make arrangement with the team lead for a smooth exchange.

As there wasn't another controller in stock, they would have had to order a new one. Which isn't an issue, but since it would be a 5 or more day wait, the team lead could not guarantee we could return the controller when the new one came in. Why? It was on the edge of warranty.

The only option we were presented was to "gamble" we could return it when the new one came in, or relinquish the controller we wanted to exchange and wait for the other to arrive. Neither option was acceptable. We asked if they could leave a note in the system and the answer was "no". It's crazy we were the ones presenting ideas for a work around to begin with.

The team lead had horrible communication skills and did not understand the concept of creating a returning customer experience. The very reason brick and mortor stores exist is because of service.

We decided to return the controler and went and purchased a new one elsewhere.

We will not be returning to this store as there are so many more options available to purchase products.

The worst business in Canada. Website is always incorrect about everything. Can't call the store to confirm hours or product availability. Take your business elsewhere

Do not do business with this location. I asked an in house sales associate where a 2 pack bundle of Ring outdoor cameras was located that was listed as available in store on their website. Turns out that isn't actually a package. I was taken to the customer service desk and order in the "bundle" of two separate cameras. To make that work they have to add a third component to create said bundle. In this case, they added a 1/8" to 1/4" headphone adapter. Seems odd, but if that is how the system works. A couple of days later I received an email stating my order is in. I drive across the city for a second time to pick it up only to be told it is only the headphone adapter that actually arrived - a part I have no use for and didn't want in the first place. So I ask to cancel the order and get a refund. Then I'm told that isn't possible as the items are in transit. So now I will have to drive back for a third - and last time - to get my refund. Guess they aren't interested in customer satisfaction.

I ordered a PS5 two weeks ago and i never got it shipped to my place because they couldn’t get my address right and now its getting shipped back to the warehouse,
it now is gonna take another two weeks plus to get my money back over a simple and easy fix.thank you for your truly best work

This place is a complete joke.
#1 They list products as “in stock” but refuse to provide any contact information so people can check to make sure before ordering or travelling from out of town to purchase
#2 friend of mine ordered a gaming monitor, when it arrived and he came to pick it up, they refused delivery even with receipt because he did not have an ID
#3 when same friend FINALLY got what was paid for, he got home only to find it was covered in dead pixels. Returned after the weekend for a replacement, and BEST BUY DEMANDED HE PAID THE DIFFERENCE BECAUSE THE PRODUCT WAS NO LONGER ON SALE BEFORE REPLACING IT. THREE F&$@&$ING DAYS later.
Never will I ever shop at this ridiculous scamming store again.

The geek squad here is completely rude and useless. I went in today with a PC I bought online through Best buy and spoke with the white guy with long hair. This man was upfront rude and had no customer service and told me that we can do anything. I explained my situation and this guy doesn't even listen to anything I say and he wanted to avoid m. I immediately got the sense that he was lazy and since it was 1.5hours to close, he didn't wanna do any extra work. It's very sad when they don't even take in your PC to see what's wrong with it.

Pathetic and horrible.

Worst experience with Geek Squad warranty on phones. They lost my phone, when found sent it back still broken. Told me there was confusion on their end and would have to start over. 2 months to get the phone fixed and still waiting for a store manager to call me.

Constantly out of stock, so many things don’t have prices listed. Good luck if you’re paying with cash cause you’ll have to go to a completely new register across the store and stand around for an extra 10minutes waiting for the single employee with a cash till.
This place is a mess.

Online customer service is not good. Spent an hour patiently trying to track down info on two fraudulent charge (at request of my bank). Went from an online chat, through 4 different customer service reps with no one that could help me. Customer reps did not know who could handle this issue and just transferred me on to the next rep. I waited on hold and then the next rep said, it's not me that can help you, I'll have to transfer you. I will not be giving my business to a company that can't stand beside customers when they get ripped off.

Amazing customer service by Westley! He has assisted me on my first visit when I was just browsing. On my second visit, he has found me the best computer that I can get! Khushi at the customer service desk is helpful as well! Great job, guys!

Employees has no integrity. Geek squad and employees are funneling all the graphics cards to their friends via the back door. That's a big no-no according to their OWN POLICIES. Geek squad lied to me and my friend's faces when we asked about cards. They just hold all the cards in the back, and hand them over to their friends, who then instantly list them on Facebook marketplace for 50% more than what they paid

I bought a MacBook from here, and requested a data transfer. Transfer could not be completed because of old lap top. No problem we send my old lap top away. Bring my new MacBook home and the tech working on MY laptop puts a password on the laptop and doesn’t inform me. There are no records anywhere on the service agreement about a password. Now I cannot manage to contact the store, the online reps, no one. So now I missed a day of work, am out a previous laptop and am locked out of my new MacBook. I’m actually currently on the phone with Best Buy customer service, finally reach an agent and the rep is sleeping.
My second complaint, I have purchased several TV’s from here. I purchase a 55” Samsung and purchase warranty, which the agent assured me covers damage as I have six kids. So I head down to Best Buy to discuss warranty and behold it does not cover physical damage. Useless, unorganized, terrible terrible company. Never again Best Buy never again.

As one of the few electronic brick and mortar stores left in Regina, Best Buy still holds strong. Akash is my go to guy for anything and everything. Just notice over the past year, it can feel like an inconvenience to have to hunt down a sales rep to get help, instead of them finding you and making sure you are taken care of.

I phone the bestbuy store near me and there's no option to talk to someone. I have one question I want answered about PS5. I just want to talk to a live person to ask my question. The toll free number for customer service is the same, can't speak to a live person. No further ahead.

CONSIDER READING THE REVIEWS FIRST BEFORE SHOPPING HERE!
As I have mentioned before, it really is tiring to explain it over and over again and not even resolve it.

But here's what happened just to make it short so I placed an online order on your website, I got the product which I believed was used (all loose parts - not covered in plastic bag and has scratches, box of the product was not sealed). I contacted the seller to get a refund and they told me I can just keep the product and they will give me a refund of $10. I know that they just wanted to get rid of it from their inventory because based on the reviews of the products from 2 years ago, take note from 2 years ago, it was the same experience that I had.

Surprisingly, it seems no action had been taken from that so called trusted seller of Best Buy.

The seller did not respond to my message and so I called Best Buy's customer service only to be told that a refund will be guaranteed. Again, nothing was resolved yet at that moment, not to mention the trips I had to make to drop it at the post office. I had to contact someone from Best Buy again through online chat and based from the conversation I was told that I will be contacted by the seller and get a refund.

Afterwards, I got a message saying I will get a refund and to my surprise, they emailed me back today only to find out that it was not the product they were referring to. I think the staff whom I have dealt with before did not take any notes regarding this matter, to think it is not even more than $50 that I spent on that product so they probably thought that it only takes much of their time to take it seriously.

They didn’t respond my call. They only good at selling new products but they didn’t have much responsibility for return policy, especially Geek Squad, a frank to steal your money, I already paid more than 1 year Geek Squad for my laptop but they didn’t do anything. Ridiculous!

Can't even call the store, gives you a robot that has a prerecorded message and at the end of the message it just tells you to hang up. To get ahold of them you have to call their 1-800 number or give them your email to put in a ticket. I literally just wanted to check their stock on one specific thing. They only seem to stock the cheapest products of any given brand, and make you order the product to the store to get it as if it weren't faster, easier, and cheaper to do it on Amazon. All in all it feels like Best Buys quality has tanked over the years, and they only seem to go downwards. Thanks for reassuring everyone that online shopping is the future!

I drove an hour to pick up an iPad. I was able to get there 15 minutes before closing and I knew exactly what I wanted. I was paying cash and I was told that they closed their tills so I was unable to purchase it unless I was paying with a card. How does a business as big as Best Buy not leave at least one till open, especially since they are closing so early (7pm). Disappointed to say the least.

So means that you always have to go there and find out by yourself.

For a big entreprise, I am deceived of your lack of communication and I hope you will put back that line to your location so you could help with our issues.

Cannot call anyone at this store to verify if they have product. Website says they have it, but when I drive across the city to come get it, they've misplaced it and can't find it. I dont know what the store manager thinks of that but anyplace I've managed would loose their mind if a $1000 sale was lost because we couldn't find the equiptment. Couple this with our last experience where the salesman lied to us about honoring a sale price the next day when they had more product in and when we showed up he refused, and I will probably never shop at this location again.

Awful customer service, do yourself a favour and order online or go elsewhere. Went in to buy a laptop and left with nothing because no one was available to help. Then I ordered online with pick-up at the store. My credit card was charged but they did not have the laptop. Unimpressed and 2 weeks later still no laptop.

What an awful Idea to not allow people to contact the store directly. The website says the item is in stock but when I drive into the city to pick it up they can’t find it. Won’t be wasting my time with this place again.

My family ordered appliances from Best Buy to be delivered to them for dec 4th 2020 between 9am-12pm without any notice all appliances were cancelled and never given a true exact date for delivery. This is unacceptable.

Great staff great people to deal with but sad experience in getting my stuff delivered to the store for instore pickup. I ordered some stuff this week and prepaid for it. Found out online that my stuff was ready for pickup on Friday. So I was hoping it would be a quick pickup and go. Wrong in so many ways. Got told my stuff was not there. After 20 mins they managed to find out that they had it sent out by Purolator and it was being delivered to my home. I never asked for my stuff to be delivered to my home. I requested that it be a instore pickup cuz I have had bad experiences in the past with packages going missing after being dropped off and left unattended. And for most of the time if I get packages delivered it would be sent to my office at work. Not once since I paid for my stuff did I get notified that my order was being processed and nor was I sent a tracking number for my stuff. Yesterday I was finally sent a tracking number after the courier came by with my stuff but now I have to wait until the next work day to receive my stuff. For such a big company it does lack common sense. Send the customer information that their order is being processed. Send a tracking number so that they can know when abouts their package will arrive and by what company. Simple simple simple. All the packages I receive from different stores shopping online follow this procedure. I can forgive the woman who made this mistake but I can not fathom why a company like this lacked any common sense in so much as sending out the information when it would have only taken 10 mins to do at most. I will continue to buy from this store but I do have reservations as to buying stuff and have it delivered as I don't have any faith that this company can do something so simple and letting the customer know what's going on with their stuff.

Customer service is bad. They don't actually listen to what you need and want. Had to repeat myself 4 times for it to register. Not even sure if they understood after making sure I had them repeat it back. Might as well go online and buy what you want because these people are clueless.
EDIT: Lost another star. 3rd party online shopping equals you get a broken item, you pay for shipping twice and lose 10% of the money you gave them for the product for "restocking fees". Sounds like theft right? And then they put you on hold repeatedly for "2 hours" if you want customer service. Don't buy anything from this place.

The customer service here is terrific. I exchanged a PS4 controller today, and one of the team leaders went out of his way to make it happen. It will remain my go to place for electronic for the foreseeable future. 10/10

Went there to buy a Nest Sensor, they had lots on the shelf. Cashier seemed confused why the box was empty. After waiting for them to get back to me, they advised me they have no stock. Would recommend just buying online, and picking it up from your post office.

They are well stocked with phones, TVs such as log, Samsung, sony and others (high end ones). Laptops and phone appliances. They have good deals when compared to other stores. The staff are nice and will take their time to answer all your questions. Decent parking lot for buyers and all round good price.

The way Best Buy has shifted their online business with their in-store experience has made me visit the store AND their website far less and I do not see this changing. The staff come across like they are commission sales people which to my knowledge they are not, but they seem aggressive like commission sales staff. I am not a fan of the well we don't have this in store but we can bring it in for you in a few days. Well so can Amazon and I likely can get a better price. I do not like the website funneling me outside the Best Buy ecosystem. If the buyers for the brand are not willing to take the risk bringing in the product I am not going to take the risk of visiting them in store. For me Best Buy used to be the primary source for electronics choices now they are a "well, no one else has it maybe Best Buy does" type of choice.

Specifically told sales lady I needed Microsoft programs as I’m in school and when I got computer back from setup realized it wasn’t downloaded, when going in to your store the same sales lady tried telling me I said I didn’t need it and offered to sell it to me instead of admitting I said I needed it
