Birmingham's Vodka and Ale House Saskatoon

We’ll. I’m a beef dip lover. I haven’t found a good beef dip in Saskatoon since the restaurant that took over the downtown Keg location—can’t remember the name, but they closed several years ago. Anyway, my nephew told me to try it, as I had one at another Canadian sports pub, You can guess the name and it was not good at all. So I tried Birmingham today. I was gonna call the restaurant and have delivery, But skip the dishes was offering free delivery, so I only had to pay Skip’s Fees (At a discount, too!). I ordered the beef dip plain because I needed to see what it would taste like. I figured I could add my own cheese or whatever. I also ordered the bucket of onion rings for leftovers. Wow, firstly everything was still warm after an hour. The delivery guy ran into traffic issues, and I figured he would because he had to Come Down Circle, Drive north. No fault of his. I didn’t expect it to still be warm, but it was. Second, they put everything in separate containers and the containers were great. Every restaurant should be using the same containers! Even the cucumber salad was great. The beef was tender and had a smoky kind of barbeque flavour, like it was cooked on a grill, probably was and the forcacia bread Was light and fluffy. I didn’t even need to add anything to the beef dip. It was that fantastic. And the onion rings! I always compare to A&W, and these were very similar, just not as salty! I will definitely order again— It was still -35 when I ordered that’s why I didn’t go to the restaurant. Definitely recommend the beef dip and definitely recommend Birmingham’s!

We shared a Caesar salad to start and it was excellent. It came with fresh garlic toast, yes please!

Do not order Prime Rid. They serve a 1/4 inch slice of what looks to be round steak cooked on a grill. They have the nerve to call this Prime Beef? Better change cooks.
The good part is that they didn't charge me for it. But I didn't eat it either.
The other meals that our friends had were excellent.

My server Angel was very attentive & professional. The bartender Stetzin made me some great drinks as well. I'll definitely come back for some more food & drinks.

I was served by kaeli. She did awesome! Drink times were fast and the drinks were awesome. Stetson was the bartender. I sat at the bar for a while after my meal and told Stetson to make me something. He did great. Exceeded expectations. Definitely recommend Birminghams for a good time.

Service good but pizza my friend had was dry and she said tasteless. I had fish and chips tasted good but must have contained something I was allergic to and gave me indigestion.

Food was excellent! Portion size was huge and absolutely reasonably priced!

I have been coming here since the day it opened and gotta say, I love my servers, bartenders, food and beers.

The staff are super nice and helpful. Steady is the best bartender, he always makes my day.

Went Saturday evening around 6 with a group of 13-14 people and seated in the east semi private room. Acoustic’s we’re not very good for conversation and the music was too loud. We should’ve asked for it to be turned down but when you’re with a group you don’t want to be that guy and it wasn’t unbearable just made it harder to hear people. Not very many people in the restaurant or bar for a Saturday night. Waitress was attentive and drinks came out quickly. We ordered a bunch of appies for the table and then ordered dinner. Most people at our table appreciated the physical menu to the online menu due to it being hard to read online. I should mention our ages ranged from late 20’s to early 60’s. Appies were pretty good especially the baked chicken vodka cheese dip.
Most people seemed to enjoy the mains. My wife had the chicken burger and said it was very good and I agreed as she shared some with me. I ordered the tuna poke salad which I was looking forward to as I have had poke bowls and other poke style dishes at other restaurants and really enjoyed them. The waitress said it was a new menu item also. I think it still needs work. The salad was a good size portion but was completely covered in deep fried wonton chips which were good but I found it made the salad taste too much like deep fry. I had to dig around to find the smaller amount of tuna that was buried under all the wonton. The tuna was supposed to be marinated according to the menu but I found it just tasted like regular tuna which I was ok with. The biggest disappointment with the salad was no dressing on the greens and other veg. There was a little aoli drizzle on top of the wontons but no soy vinaigrette as stated in the menu. The waitress came back at the start of the meal to ask how things were but then we hardly saw her again or I would likely have asked for some salad dressing. I didn’t end up finishing the salad and ate some of my wife’s fries which were very good. I think she may have been new and having a hard time by herself. As we were leaving around 9pm we noticed how much quieter the main restaurant was compared to the room we were in. I definitely wouldn’t book that room again with a bunch of people. And I would rename the salad the deep fried wonton and tuna salad lol, definitely not poke.

Skip delivered the wrong order, and Birmingham's went above and beyond to rectify the situation. And once our order arrived it was delicious. Thank you to whom ever i spoke With on the phone, you’re the best! And even through in dessert
