Love to camp here! Hopefully, they will also inform us that water service will not be available for full hook up service.

The most scenic place I find it to be around Saskatoon, very peaceful and lots of view points to spend beautiful time with.

Nice Campground only 1 downside is people being close together. If you have good or considerate neighbors (we did) then no big deal. Being next to Lake is a great wake up walk.

There are some campsites with nice view and dedicated small beach. Plus a relatively high hill for walking. The only thing I don't like is too many mosquitoes

I stayed at Sunset Ridge campground which offers great views of the valley, lake and the sunset. Being at the top of the valley it can be windy, but the views make up for it. This is a new campground and the facilities are to notch. All the toilets at Sunday Ridge are flush with running water sinks. I'm not too sure about the toilets in the other two campground. Also the showers are brand new and very good.

Blackstrap has plenty of downhill and wooded trails for bicycles, great spot for trail biking. The lake is popular with fishers, not much of a beach for families or swimmers. It was a bit cold so I didn't swim. Don't forget to climb the "Pimple on the Prairie", Saskatchewans' only mountain.

Stayed in the tent area. The portable toilets were disgusting, probably not the parks fault but honestly.
Park is pretty spot on the edge of a lake that seems to appear from nowhere. Actual shower and washroom facilities were spotless and we'll stocked.

Blackstrap is a beautiful park to go spend the day at. They have a bouncy area you can play on but I believe it cost money to use it. They have peddle boats you can rent as well. It’s just all and all a fun beautiful place to spend the day with the family

It is a beautiful lake just about 32 km from Saskatoon. The beach area of Lakeside has many trees, picnic areas, also floating water park for those who like to jump. There is spacious washroom and toilet. Also bbq area. It has cafe and restaurant.

I'm giving it 2 stars for the amount of seaweed. If they took care of the beach area better it would be awesome. I love the bounce island obstacle course so much fun.
12 September 2022 21:49
Camping sites are very private and woods are ready for grilling or making camp fire. Not to mention it’s only 40 minutes drive from Saskatoon city proper.

We always enjoy it here. Close from the city (30 min or so), and some amenities such as water park, Cafe and a little bar. It's got decent trails too.

To have a great time just bring your coal and meat, and most importantly friends to enjoy the afternoon with

Waterpark was incredible, I want to stress the need to get the all day pass! 1 hour is just not enough especially if it's busy. Stretch before if you're an adult or you'll be extra sore. Our ages range from 22 to 34 and all had a blast. This park/water park is a must for anyone traveling near by! Fire wood and showers are included!

Camped at Hazelnut 117. Quite a sloped site and very difficult to get the camper level. Mostly Tenters on this loop. 6 km to the next loop of campers with a beach and playground inbetween. Beware of ticks, but they weren't too bad.
Still resent reserving the site and then having to pay an extra $10 at the gate for a day pass to access it!

Great for a camping site were you could fish as well, They have several picnic ground. This place is perfect if you want to go for a group camping, bonding with friends and family.

Beautiful place, great to spend the day with the family for a picnic/BBQ and a day at the beach. There are very clean and well maintained indoor washroom and shower facilities available. Great spot for camping if you don't want to drive too far. Fishing was not to good as there is too much shrubbery causing the lines to get constantly tangled. Fishing areas could use some improvement. Otherwise a beautiful place to get away from the city buzz.

The park isn't open yet, drove threw though and very impressed with the area. Plan on spending time there the summer.

Exquisite view, more like God has painted by himself. We entered by mistake private property opposite of provincial park, but the view from there is an alluring one. The people are amicable, and we also learned when crossing any vehicle or person, one must have to make a friendly gesture to the other there. Unique thing.

Great park, campsite and the beach was clean and nice. The canteen kitchen on the Beach closed around 7 with only the person working to passively tell us the kitchen was closed. One star for the canteen

Great little park for camping or mountain biking. The water playground is great too! Some campsites are barren field area and some are hidden in trees.
17 January 2022 19:22
It's a nice place to cool off during the +30 weather. The public swimming area is ok but the bottom feels slimy and stone ridden. Lots of people come here to picnic and people watch. Man I wish I could have taken pictures but the other half was with me. She was like my shadow and I could see her looking side glanced.

Everything was well maintained and clean. Beautiful and quiet up on Sunset Ridge Campground. Windy, but then no mosquitoes. Far from the beach and other campgrounds, but very peaceful for that very reason. Not much shrubbery around the actual site, but the sunsets and view of the lake make up for that. I just wish all the sites up there could be full service. Water pressure at site is high, so you may need a water pressure regulator.

Great spacious campsites, beautiful location. Can get a bit windy up at the above campground. Good boating and fishing.

Good place to spend some family time together and good facilities for camping. Mosquito problem
30 December 2021 13:14
Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful area, but the only thing that gross me out is the green water. It's the same story each year. The algaes are abundant and the circulation of many boats get the water to look like a green smoothie. If you dit mind to not go swimming while camping, well, that could be a good place for you
25 December 2021 16:45
Great park. I love to fish here and picnic. Close proximity to Saskatoon and surrounding areas. Has 2 really nice boat lunches.
16 December 2021 16:09
Best place to go to in the summer and fall. Has a a lot of area so people can choose to distance themselves during COVID-19. Has water games and can rent a boat on the site. Parking is available. Entry fees for provincial park pee vehicle is $15. Can also rent a place for camping.
13 December 2021 6:17
It's a nice scenic beach which lots of fishing opportunities. On the downside, there's so many boats that the water is pure green and it looks horrible. Other than that it's not bad.
12 December 2021 16:28
A great place for some fun, but it’s really hard to get in. Purchased a season ticket to avoid wait time, but the road entering the park is narrow, so despite the ticket, we have to wait in line, behind the cars buying day pass until almost the ticket booth.

Great bike trails added out here over the last few years. Thanks to crew and volunteers at doug's spoke 'N sport
