Browns Socialhouse Rochdale

There's a lot of pubs in the Rochdale area. I like this small social house. They seem to have dishes which I find are very unique but they still offer traditional pub food. I find their atmosphere more on the romantic side and without trying to sound like a mole I like the low light atmosphere.

Was a great place to enjoy my 36th birthday dinner with my friend and my 6 year old daughter. Everyone's dish was visually appealing, and the service was very helpful. The environment was very clean, and uplifting. Would come again for the delicious brownie dessert. It was huge. Big enough for 3 to share and still had a few bites that we just could not finish. Bon Appetite

Really good food, quite loud, always feel like all these TV screens are a massive distraction and there's at least five. If sports are your thing, definitely stop by, if you're just going out to meet with family, maybe pick somewhere a Lyle quieter.

Went to pick up my food this evening august 20 2023 (north end) showed up bit early so observed skip the dishes guy picking up, brought in wrong size bag he was gonna carry out the food without insulated bag, immediately one of the staff members says sir you need to get the correct bag I don’t want my customer getting cold food! He actually was annoyed was kinda ignoring her, again she says you’re not taking the food till it’s in the insulated bag! Finally he goes back to his vehicle get the correct bag, great job, she didn’t back down!

I've been to Browns Socialhouse a few times here in Regina and elsewhere. This review is for the location on Rochdale in Regina but can probably be broadly applied to other locations.

A friend was feeling a bit down so I took him out to Browns for some drinks and a meal.

Food was great. No problems with that. I had the Tiki Tuna Poke bowl and he had nachos.

For drinks I started off with a cider. Okay. Next I moved on to my "girl drink drunk" mode and ordered a fuzzy navel. No one there knew what a fuzzy navel was. I had to explain it to them.

Woeful sigh.

Then they didn't have orange juice, so I told them that they can make it with pineapple juice and it would be okay. It was. So I had several of those.

Ended the night with a Guiness. Don't worry, daughter #2 was on call for a safe ride home.

It was all good, but it would be nicer if they knew their cocktails better, and if they had a few more on-tap options, and better support for local breweries and distilleries.

I get that it's a chain, and consistency is king with chains, but it's also good to support local.

I'd probably give them 3.5 stars, but since I cannot give half stars I'm rounding up to 4.

Quite pricey ($20 average for a lunch dish) but huge portions.
There was a musty odor in the patio area though

The service was excellent. The food was great.
However, Gluten-Friendy is not that at all. My Partner has Celiacs Disease. In the end he had a salad as that was all that was left to order to be safe. The server was very knowledgeable and pointed out the issues we might have. All in all it was a good experience.

So disappointed that gluten friendly really isn't. Server didn't understand and attitude was very uncaring. We walked out

Good food, staff are nice. For some reason the sink in the woman's bathroom is always extremely cold.

Manager went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even gave us a free appy, food was fabulous, great atmosphere

Busy, maybe on a Friday night having someone separate to run the bar instead of making a single poor server manage over half the restaurant. Great food and the service was fine given the circumstance.

I had a wonderful experience a couple of weeks ago. I was craving the Thai soup and dare I say it.the desert in a jar? It was nice that the waitress remembered me even with my mask on. It's always nice to feel special. The soup is delicious and I'd have a hard time trying to reproduce it much as I'd like to. The desert is pretty basic but still mouth watering.

Sorry but poor service towards skip drivers.waiting 30 minutes for an order that should have be started when you receive it and not having the drivers waiting so long.

And your reason given to the driver " we can't control how long it takes to cook". Sorry YES YOU CAN.

We really enjoyed our supper and drinks. We loved the service! Alora was our server! She was really nice and great at her job!

Didn't eat there but did pick up a to go order. They are very on the ball with covid regulations and friendly. Even if you can't see through the masks the hostess is smiling.

Staff is extremely rude. Worst customer service! Had to go somewhere else to eat! I would not recommend this place at all

Ordered a French dip and they forgot to send the "dip" part of the French "dip". Brutal

Management should start treating all people equally whether its a customer or a delivery driver.

Today i pick order from 1065 brown social house restaurant. One lady employer ask me for order no.and she has no sense to deal with customer. Her behaviour is ridiculous.to talk and not have value of customer.

Food was okay, except my senior mother got sick from food poisoning after. Service was good, they accommodated us with my toddler which was appreciated.

Very mediocre pasta however the staff and service was very kind and welcoming. Food took quite awhile to get especially considering we dinned at an off peak hour. The dynamite sushi I had was well plated and was very fresh. I recommend this for social drinks and some classic pub food. The seating setup is close and could be designed a little better to accommodate larger than 4 groups and the high and low tables spread randomly throughout could have been reconfigured to maximize space a little better.overall not a bad experience but the reason for 4 and not 3 stars is only due to the staff.

Amazing place to go for date night or a night out with the girls. Servers are always great and the food is delish!

The service and atmosphere was great. My husband's burger was very good. Unfortunately the quesadilla was the most tasteless, barely filled, oily tasting one that I've ever had. If the over chunky guacamole and the salsa had flavour that would have at least helped, but they didn't either. I don't usually write bad reviews but l just felt l needed to over this meal.

Fantastic service, fast service, high quality food but I find the apps, chicken burger, and gravy I had to be slightly lacking in flavor, fantastic fries however, wifes pub burger had fantastic flavor

I was at browns today and had the best service ever. All the ladies where nice and friendly, the food was amazing. Having gluten free and the fries cooked in the oven was great. Christina was fast and friendly service. 5/5 stars for me

My kind of preppy, fun, and relatively younger atmosphere. Good drink selection and friendly courteous barmaid. I'll be back!

Overpriced for what we got and frankly not very good, sent us burnt garlic toast. Wasxnot worth the price. Disappointing.

It was extremely busy when we walked in and everything is very close together with not a lot of walking room. Despite that, the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. I recommend and would definitely go back!

Hello. I like the wings at Browns.always good! I have tried the burgers also.fun to visit with people and talk sports, music etc. Staff are friendly and good service.a place I reccomend in case you have not been there.

Good food! The reason I gave it 4 stars is because we were at the Brown Social House last week and went there to watch the Roughriders game. Sadly, we were told the sound from the game could not be projected in the bar area. We watched the game but couldn't hear it.

Very professional and helpful staff, and in my opinion very good food for your dollar especially Fish & Chips Ohh man.mmmmMM

Brown's is a great place to go out with friends for a meal or drink. While it may not be the fastest it definitely is worth waiting. I love the Blackened Chicken Cowboy salad! So delicious!

Guy at the table ordered a pizza and I tried a slice and it was incredible. Forget what it was called but it had shrimp and feta. Beer was cold and good. A bit noisy but that's what you can expect on a Friday night. I didn't get to sit there, but they had some really cool looking seats with fire pits outside. Definitely worth checking out.

Used to be my favourite hang out spot when I lived in Regina. Beautiful spot to grab a drink.or a quick dinner. Will surely visit there next time am in Regina.

I always enjoy going to Browns Rochdale. The service is great and never disappoints. Brunch is especially my favourite on Saturdays and Sundays. I recommend the fried egg sandwich or Belgium waffle!

Showed up when they opened, was a bit hesitant about the menu as I am a very picky eater. Struggled a bit but found a couple options. Ended up with a delicious meal + excellent service! Will visit again.

Was not easy to locate as GPS took me off the way. Called outlet for guide. Clean environment and nice location
