Cactus Club Cafe Idylwyld Drive

We had our 18th wedding anniversary dinner there. It was beautiful. I live the service. The meal was ready earlier than we expected. The heat could have been better regulated though.

Our server was a gal named Shea (not sure I’ve spelled her name correctly). She was very personable, prompt, and attentive.

The food was delicious but our lava cake desserts were barely warm. She worked with the manager to reduce our final bill as a concession. We weren’t expecting that because we still ate the desserts, but she insisted. That is a very professional response to a customer concern.

All in all it was a lovely evening. The Cactus Club in Saskatoon easily beats the competition.

It is a chain restaurant that never disappoints. Nice vegan and vegetarian options as well many unique and traditional cocktails

It is a great place for lunch, supper, or simply grabbing a drink or two.

Very good experience here, went for happy hour and enjoyed each of the plates we had, as well as dessert. Service was quick and attentive, while still leaving us to ourselves to enjoy the time. Upscale, pricier experience but worth it.

Brilliant evening atmosphere and night life vibe. The music was popping, our server Mo was so friendly and dang great at her job. The food was incredible (everything on the menu looked so delicious.) I simply couldn't decide so I ordered a whole bunch of appetizers and they did not disappoint. Great price, amazing food and excellent city atmosphere, ambient lighting. Can't say enough good things. I'll be back for sure!

Jaime is an amazing waiter. He shows us what’s possible when a server is living his best professional life. Our food was excellent (we went back for a second night), and if you’re not a drinker, try the Soul Revival drink. When we visit Saskatoon again, we will be eating here.

Wow! What an experience at Cactus Club Idylwyld. My server Mia was absolutely fabulous. Very attentive and a pleasure to chat with. My meal came out quick and the drinks were phenomenal.

Excellent service and the food tasted good. We ordered a steak but somehow it’s a bit overcooked. The server managed to replace the steak for us and we were very satisfied with the service. Love the vibe and music as well.

This is an okay place and food.

Honestly pretty over priced and overrated. Ex: $21 chicken fingers and fries for a kids lunch.

$26 for a burger that isn't anything special.

Their steaks, drinks and bowls are pretty good but pricy.

Service is also usually good.

Amazing eats here and quite a few options for many people. Including gluten free which is always a plus as my mother cannot have gluten. Staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and nice.

Thanks to the servers and manager at Cactus Club we had the most incredible night (August 28th, 9 pm). A passerby sneezed on us as they were walking past us (unfortunate timing!). The manager and servers replaced our beverages and purchased our meal. They went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. The food was great, vibe was awesome, but the service and staff was something that will leave us raving about this establishment.

It would be 2 stars if not for the perfect service. Portion was tiny. Left hungry and stopped at McDonald's on the way home. We won't be back.

Worst experience ever! Today i went to Cactus cafe and parked my car over there but the restaurant was not open so i went to mall to pick my stuff and after that I went to cactus cafe to eat but after I came back, i was having ticket. This thing happened with me before also few days back and same thing today. Now i am not visiting again ever and will tell my friends

They will give you a parking ticket even when you’re eating there. I got a ticket a week or 2 ago as I parked in their lot I then went into midtown to do a bit of shopping with the full intention of eating at Cactus Club when I was done. That was until I seen the ticket on my car. Thanks Cactus Club you’ve lost another customer

Quinn K had practically ghosted us for the near duration of our stay. The food however was phenomenal hence the favorable review.

I was told that we only have to wait for 5 mins as they are cleaning a table for us but we actually waited for 30 mins. Just make sure to make a reservation if you are planning to eat here.

Never have any complaints when I go there. Our waiter lastnight when my friends and I went was amazing. Amazing service and great food!

Amazing service, amazing food, great location. My partner took me here for our 3 year anniversary, everything we ate was amazing. The ribs are really good, and the blackened chicken has just the right amount of spicy. Our waiter was very professional and kind, the only things I would say is their shirley temples aren't the greatest, and there were people near us that were very loud (but people being loud isn't their fault at all). We will definitely be visiting again!

Cactus Club in Saskatoon is REQUIRING staff to be double vaxxed in order for them to not have to wear a mask and/face shield. On top of that, they require masks to be worn if their employee's significant other hasn't been double vaxxed as well.

I personally refuse to support Medicle Tyranny which is what this is and I will NOT be giving them ANY business and I will tell everyone I know.

After hearing about the news of being forced to double mask if not vaccinated, I WILL NOT support a business who discriminates against personal medical rights and choices about our everyday lives. Vaccines have always been a choice and should remain that way. My heart goes out to those who have been oppressed and pressured by the owners to do something they were not comfortable with. If they get threatened with there job if they do not comply, then they should leave. They should leave because they deserve to work at a place that values there workers like family.

The food was amazing esp the dessert and the wine served. But the server was not at all attentive and looked very confused about what she is doing and while paying the bills she was very rude when she did not see the decent tip from our table.

Very disappointing experience. Days prior, I booked online then phoned to request a table on the patio (no option to request patio online). I was told it was no problem. But we were seated inside, furthest table from the patio next to the kitchen, because the patio table was given to someone else! Then G&Ts tasted awful - told me they were checking the tonic line and 15-20 min later I was finally asked if I would like something else. Nothing was comped. Food was good.

Good service and meal choices were all to taste and I enjoyed my time here and will recommend a visit here anytime you are in Saskatoon.

Have well marked vegan and gluten free options. Zen rolls are amazing. Crispy tofu bowl is so so. Madern bowl is very good. Truffle fries order baked with no parmesan and with vegan mayo are very good.

My daughter and I came to Cactus Club Cafe for lunch and the service was great. We sat on the patio and it was beautiful. The covid safety measures and social distancing put in place were well maintained throughout. Very good experience overall. The truffle fries are fantastic as well as the chicken wings.

Asked the waiter for the worst shot she could think of, definitely knocked it out of the park. It was awful. 10/10 love drinking & eating here

Amazing place. They have big space spread across lounge, patio and bar area.

It's huge and have an open bar concept with screens to enjoy sports as well.

The service was really good as well and have good options for food, drinks and desserts.

In downtown and accessible through public transport as well.

Prefer to reserve a table if you plan to go during rush hours.

Each time I have eaten at this restaurant I have been disappointed; however, due to good experiences of others I have tried to give the restaurant another try with the same disappointing results. I went to this location for a friends birthday celebration earlier this week. Their was six of us in total. The severs were friendly and attentive to detail regarding our orders. However, I was not impressed with the food. My meal (impossible burger and fries) came out cold, the fries were wilted from being under a heater waiting. Although I did not order an extravagant meal I did expect hot food to be delivered. I hope that the cooks read this and begin to plan ahead for “larger groups” as their will be more people gathering soon and I am sure paying customers (as myself) would appreciate having their food served hot and fresh.

The service was decent and staff were nice enough. Our server was attentive.
Atmosphere was okay.
My chicken tenders were small, dry and bland. The fries were good though! The others at my table had great food so I guess I chose the wrong item to order.
My lime margarita was just okay.
Overall impression - meh

Recently been to get some drinks and enjoy with friends, and got disappointed by their cocktails. Please see the attached picture contrast. I ordered one Kyoto Fizz because the picture on the website was so cute and wanted to try, but after serving, it was nothing like the picture at all! And nobody explained until I asked the lady served us the drinks, then I got the explanation that they ran out of proper glasses. Later our waitress came to check on us, I asked again about the thyme that should be served with the cocktail and was told they ran out of thyme. So how about telling customers upfront that you ran out of glasses and thyme that might influence the presentation and flavour, then the customer can decide? Or a step back, how about apologizing for this information when serving? No, I didn’t get any of that, and I don’t I would be informed in any ways if I didn’t asked myself. No matter how busy a restaurant is, this is basic standard and common sense.
And my friends’ drinks weren’t served in the same presentation as their pictures showed and no explanation for that neither. This makes a big drop down for their service and customer experience. I don’t think it’s the problem of waitresses but more of a management issue that needs attention to improve. Overall, the waitresses there are nice and welcoming.

The food was clearly above my expectations. I had a fun time, Amazing ambiance and the serving staff were right upto the mark. Had a really good time.

The restaurant was clean and the hostess and waitress were very friendly and helpful with the menu. A great experience.

Always great service from the Cactus Club. Ordered on Friday night for pick up and didn't realize that an entree was missing until I got home. I called the restaurant to let them know and they offered to send over the missing entree. It was delivered quickly and I was surprised to find two complimentary desserts in the bag.

Very disorganized and confused servers. Where is the quality control and guidance from management? Very delayed on the initial greeting upon entering, was just about to leave but was yelled at by a moody greeter, “hey”. Who says hey? No personality whatsover. The greeter’s behaviour is the first impression you get for a restaurant. Disgraceful and horrendous place. Please close it down, out of towners and locals are sickened by the joke this place has become. Avoid at all costs.

Love everything about this place! The food and drinks are fantastic and I have never had a bad server yet and have been going for years. Also I love the music and the vibe of the lighting.

Excellent service. My server Martin was outstanding. He recommended my drink which was 5 stars. The service was fast and amazing food.

Took my best friend there for her birthday, and we had Savannah as our waitress. She was so friendly and amazing! Our food was super good too, and worth the price. I definitely recommend the place:) Also, Covid-19 regulations were followed perfectly.

Visited the Cactus Club for our anniversary on Jan 5 2021. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly by the hostess. Our server was very kind, attentive and professional, he made sure our needs were looked after perfectly. They went above and beyond for us if anything was amiss. Absolutely one of the best dining out experiences and we will definitely be returning. Their white chocolate cheese cake is amazing
