Canadian Tire

I have been a regular customer for 12 years and my cars are fixed there many times. I have always pleasant conversation with the cashiers and in the car shop.

But lately, the new guards I think they are south asians because they wear on their head are very suspicious of me. I think they profile me as a thief. A guard would follow me and they stay at the exit as if I am going to steal or not pay. Truly very embarrassing and depressing as I always think of that incident.

I didn't find this store good for me. From the very first view, it has so many different departments and products. However, it's always a higher price or pure choice compared to similar specialised shops. Might be a good choice if you need something quickly and don't really care about price. It might save your time.

Booked a tire instal for 1pm. At 4 pm I called to check on status and informed it may not get done today. I commuted 1.5 hours one way and wasted an entire day waiting. I did not want to reschedule and risk driving and waiting another full day. Will purchase my tires from our local shop, it may cost more but the service will be better.

The last two times I have been at this location there have been over 20 people in line and only 2 people working at the registers. It took me over 20 minutes to get through the lineup. On top of it, I was carrying 5 items and literally had to push each item as I progressed in the line.

I asked for assistance from a staff member, and she didn't seem happy to assist. She picked up 1 item and left it in the line for me to deal with. She had an empty cart with her and said I could NOT use it.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service received here. For someone that was purchasing multiple items and spending hundreds of dollars in your store, I would have expected a higher level of service. Also, please keep in mind that I have spent thousands of dollars with Canadian Tire every single year.

I can appreciate your carts being locked up but when you see a customer struggling, I think it would be common courtesy for a staff member to assist.

Thankfully another customer was willing to help carry some items through the 20 minute long lineup with me.

My suggestion would be to educate your staff on providing a higher level of service. Ensure you have an adequate amount of staff available to assist clients.

I sent my car there to be fixed up a week ago and they still hadn't found the issue and the manager of that garage had no clue that it was happening. They barely even worked on the car at all, just instead they charged me a huge bill. They never call back and never pick up their phone.

Editing teview. Today is wed 4 pm june 21. Still no improvement. This place rarely has enough cashiers working. Ten tills available today 2 working tills. Wouldn't recommend for anybody in a hurry

I had a positive experience at Canadian Tire, largely due to the friendly and helpful staff. Although there were some challenges in finding items within the store, the staff's helpfulness outweighed any minor inconveniences. I would recommend this Canadian Tire to others, thanks to their friendly and attentive service.

Cluttered with lot n lots of “stuff” if you can get help finding something or stand in the entryway to use the working inventory station; you can usually get in and out quickly. (Once you pass that poor staffer who has to check your self-checkout receipt.they don’t seem to read it, just mark it?)

It was horrible. Took me 45 minutes just to get someone on the floor to come and unlock the cage in automotive for me.and then I don't even want to get started on how long I was in line at customer service.especially since only four people were in front of me.at one point it looked like a manager grabbed the customer service lady took her to the till to do something and then all three of them sit around that tail just leaving everyone a customer service and limbo.like I never knew it took three workers to work one till.and to see the phones ringing and just being ignored to boot. I don't get how that place is still in business because to me it looks like they're running out or losing a lot of business

Annoying credit card salespeople asking if I want to sign up. Sometimes multiple times in one visit. Commonly out of stock on items that the other location has an abundance of. Lots of wasted trips. The Preston location is worth the farther drive

I usually don't come to the west store as it is always a negative experience. However, I came in and held to deal with customer service and had the most lovely experience with Mar. She was so helpful and pleasant to deal with. It made my day!

Went in for Canada post, they were fast and helpful. I love how it relocated to the back of the store.

The wait at the till line is crazy. It’s 3pm on a Monday and they can’t keep up. I think they need some automated checkouts: (

I would like to see more staff hired to help customers like myself as you have to try and find help not good I do not like seeing a serurity guard.at the front door as it looks like you are entering a prison

We went for Garden equipment and we got a variety of sprinklers, herbicides, insecticides, rat traps and killers, water hoses, seedlings of pepper, tomatoes, horticultural flowers, organic fertilizers, organic soils, PRUNING saws, pumps etc

Some serious management issues. Lines always very long with few workers scanning, and they refuse to implement self-checkouts. I sometimes drive to the east Canadian tire because the total amount of time is under that of being in this store. Their line issue could be solved with self checkout! You also get harassed every time to buy their credit card.

After 6 automotive door is closed. Walked through front doors and walk to automotive carrying my old battery. 1 employee helping couple choose tires. 40 minutes later I wanted to leave, employee gone looking for tires. 15 minutes of empty desk and I needed to go home already. Carrying my old battery walked to front to leave but stopped by sole customer service agent. She can’t let me leave with my battery. Says I have to leave through automotive. Line up again. Get to front of line and employee showed me door is physically locked and he cannot let me out. Directs me to the front. Sole customer service agent stops me again, can’t let me leave with my battery. Now customers are heckling to let the guy leave, customers tell me it’s my battery, don’t listen to them just walk out, what are they going to do to you. Finally front security comes up to me and says, I been watching you carry that heavy battery around the store trying to get out for the last hour, just leave it’s okay.

Good for parking spots, went and got a few appliances and furniture such as canvas, mirror and carpet and upholstery for the bed room, good costumer service

Was there for first time; waiting for help in various departments for too long and hard to find staff for fittings and hardware. All staff encountered were very professional and courteous however. 3 rating max for now;) have a great day!
