Carver's Steakhouse

Had a delicious solo meal here while on a business trip. Had the filet mignon and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I typically like my filets rare but since I’m pregnant, I went for medium to be on the safe side and it was still delicious. Sides were perfect as well. Was wanting a classic “meat & potatoes” meal and this satisfied on every level.
I found service to be slightly slow but it could have just been me wanting to have a quick dinner.

I hate being able to cook a better steak at home after you pay $58 for a meal, but here we are. Cool atmosphere, sit in the lounge if you can.

Amazing service. Britney (Manager) handled our reservation herself. Catered to our requests and gave us phenomenal service, made for a memorial night. Very appreciative of the lengths the staff is willing to go to make your special night, that much better. Would definitely go again. 10/10.

This has always been a great place to frequent, and take friends from out of town.
This visit was quite disappointing in comparison to other times in the past.
Certain items were no longer on the menu, such as prime rib and t- bone steak.
The ribeye steaks that we did order were average at best.
My reservation was missed, and we had to wait for almost 2 hours to get seated.
Was not a good experience this time. Sorry!

Server didn't smile until she saw her tip. I asked about about a sauce and if it would be good with the salmon, she just ssid "no", not why, not another reccomendation. Very condescending as well, whereas other servers looked to happy to be there. French onion soup wasn't great, spinach dip was nice, The salmon was ok, not very flavorful, the blanched spinach was cold, not a great meal. Desert was nice, mocktail was refreshing. Would i come back here, absolutely not.

Steakhouses are a thing for me, this is one of my favorites. Bartenders are awesome, managers cool, I came back to the city for the weekend to do it again.

I had a reservation for the lounge on February 16th for 7: 30. I had requested that my daughter be my server. It was my birthday and I thought it would be nice to celebrate at her workplace. When I arrived I was so blown away by how beautiful she had set up the table for my birthday. She had all my gifts set up at the table and she had folded the napkins into beautiful little fans on top of the plates. I waited to be joined by my friend and my other daughter who both drove in from Warman to have this meal with me. It was a very busy work day and I was really looking forward to this. As Yenna was getting me settled in and I was opening a couple of my gifts a very nice young lady pulled Yenna to the side. When Yenna came back to the table she said that her manager, Leah, said she couldn't stay and serve us because the lounge wasn't busy enough. She had already started serving our table which made us her table and before I made the reservation my request was for Yenna to be our server. We were then told we would be served by the bartender. I have to say that I'm extremely disappointed. My daughter told me all about the amazing food and wines that are served at Carver's. This quite honestly ruined my birthday. I wanted her as my server, but because of what happened I left and went elsewhere. I didn't want to make a scene at my daughter's workplace but that was a terrible experience. I expected more from an establishment like Carver's.

Great little steakhouse tucked away in the Sheraton hotel. It was a great place for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. Food was excellent and service was solid!

This place is the best place everything is awesome the light the service everything is nice I like I enjoyed if i can give them more than 5 stars i will do it.

Superb restaurant. The New York steak I got was delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. I'll definitely be back.

Chose this restaurant for dinner with friends. While ordering, I made sure to tell the waitress that my wife’s steak was to be well done and to error on the side of overcooking it. Well, the meals came, my wife cut into her steak, and it looked similar to mine, which was medium rare…. The waitress came back to the table with a little plate while wearing a glove. With her gloved hand, she grabbed my wife’s steak from her plate and set it in the little plate! Surely this restaurant owns a pair of tongs! She took it to the kitchen where they cooked it again. By the time the waitress returned with my wife’s steak on a new plate with a new potato and garnish, the rest of us had already finished our meals. In the end, we were disappointed with the experience and likely won’t come back. There are other places in town that can cook a steak.

Atmosphere is good and the waitress we had was great. Steaks did turn out tough and draft Stella's were stored in the fridge prior to serving. Classic place but don't know if I'll be back.

What a terrible place, was seated by the hostess given a glass of water and waited 15 minutes… then walked out…. No service

If you are looking for a perfectly cooked delicious stake, excellent service and luxurious atmosphere this is the place. A must try in Saskatoon.

Great flavourful food, a bit pricey but definitely worth it! Our server was absolutely amazing, I wish I could remember her name but this was some time ago, she had short light blonde hair. She was very attentive and kind, making our experience here awesome (even though we could tell she was busy)! Thank you and good job to her and the fabulous cooks behind the scenes!

Took a very long time to be served. The lobster tails were 24 dollars on the menu until the server notified me they raised the price due to a new supplier to 36 a tail. Pretty sure they are 8.99 at Safeway.
When the meal arrived the potatoes were cold and we were never asked if we enjoyed our meal. The served didn't come back until we were finsihed. Very overpriced for mediocre food.

Excellent. Food was tasty and had some great sauces. Ambience was quiet and private. Service was prompt and pleasant.

Lovely ambience! The food was great and the service was great. I was looking for somewhere for a romantic dinner for a young couple and got what I was looking for.

Loved the atmosphere. Ordered 2 drinks for a nitecap. It would have been nice to have clean glasses however. (Hubby wouldn't let me complain) We really hope the alcohol disinfected the glasses. The waiter apologized for the long wait but no bartender should serve a dirty glass.

This is as fancy as you'd wanna get lol it's a nice closed space which makes it feel secluded in that much more special. Overall, it's a great spot to take a special date to. Just don't expect to be paying less than a 100 for the experience and the food. Sure it's expensive but definitely worth it for those special dates.

Fantastic evening out for dinner. Chef was spot on with steaks and the add-ons were delicious. Wait staff was very attentive and looked after us very well.

This place is extremely over rated and over priced. The food is good, but it’s not amazing. The Keg is much better, and cheaper. Our server and the hostesses had no personality. This place is lipstick on a pig. For a $200 bill it was a sad meal and experience.

Birthday celebration. Carver's was fantastic. Hats off to the Chef for perfect entrée & the dessert was delicious. The wait staff were awesome and easily deserved the tip. Thank your for making her night wonderful.

L food at the table was cold. Steaks were either cold or overdone. Offered a 25 percent discount plus free desserts. Took them up on the offer but backed out of the discount once we ordered.

Evening started off by being greeted at the door by a young man named LANDON, very very charming. Everything was perfect, the lighting, dark walls, red of the room, service and music. Tried steak and lobster, prawn appetizer, biggest shrimp ever, French onion soup We were able to bring in our own wedding cake, which they gladly served.

Beignets are a must get from here. Was a little sad my chicken was a little dry, cocktails were limited, but next time will definitely be requesting dauphinois potatoes! The Prix Fix was a killer deal but felt wasteful with the ginormous salad portion. Super quick and friendly service!

Best steakhouse in town with a classic atmosphere. Great for special occasions or for taking clients out to dinner!

First, let’s talk about the meal: Ribeye was good, I’d say almost 4 stars. Scallops were okay. The restaurant appeared to be clean and had a nice ambiance. My top-shelf martini was not good - it was not made to my request. On a different visit my friend had the same problem with her martini at the Sheraton’s sister restaurant Scarlet. Maybe they just don’t make good ones at that bar, as I imagine the one bar serves both restaurants in the hotel. My husband had a delicious cocktail. We had reservations and were sat at a nice booth. Unfortunately, there were a bunch of (loud) people in at the same time as us having a business meet-and-greet. I didn’t want to hear their conversation but it was impossible not to. The restaurant does their best to follow covid protocols, but there were members of this group standing up and socializing without their masks on. I really wanted to just finish my meal and get out of there! It was so disappointing, considering that I went there for my birthday meal, my husband booked a reservation stating as such. Why didn’t they put us elsewhere? Had we not already placed our order, I would have finished my drink and suggested we go elsewhere. Needless to say, we did not stay for dessert. I left not feeling great about my experience.

The food was good (at least what what was actually available listed on the menu). Leek tart wasn't available with my wild boar dish, a certain dessert wasn't available and wasn't informed until what I could say was a 10 minute wait just to hear it wasn't available. I wasn't asked if I wanted another beer with my meal. Also service was very slow.and our leftovers weren't given to us before we left (small annoyance) lol
More cons than pros on our dinner unfortunately.

High end service. High end food. Exhaustive wine menu. Delicious cocktails. A wonderful place for a special night out.

Delicious meal. Steak and cauliflower were over the top. The marmalade dressing on the salad was divine. The beignets are out of this world! So worth the $$

The most amazing experience. Top notch service, and the most fantastic food Saskatoon has to offer.

The meal was great. The relaxed ambience of the cocktail lounge was amazing. Highly welcoming staffs and services. I'd recommend.

Very noisy, was hoping for a nice romantic evening, Couldn't even hear my partner from across the table. Steak was cold, and they took it back to reheat it. Both of our steaks were not good cuts of meat. Could buy better from our local butch shop. Lobster tail was very tough. Bathroom wasn't even in the resturant, hand to go down a hall way in the hotel area. Over charged for their meals that is not anything special. They didn't even give us a discount for the cold steak either. That will be the first and last time going to carvers.

I cannot say enough about Carver’s. Service is always phenomenal and the menu is creative and delicious. We come here every time we’re in Saskatoon. My kids enjoyed it as well.

The good was great and our waiter was extremely knowledgeable. They carry a selection of wines and spirits you won't find any other place. I strongly suggest Macallans 18 year scotch.

Delicious! We weren't able to make a reservation on Thursday for a Saturday sitting, but managed to snag a walk in table by showing up right at 5 pm. Extensive wine and scotch menu, but also 3 mocktails to try. I had the pomegranate juice one with blueberries - tasty and refreshing. Fresh sourdough buns were served while we checked the menu (but we knew what we wanted by checking the menu online ahead of time). Chicken livers to start were cooked perfectly in a yummy sauce I've never had before. I selected the Carver's classic filet mignon and the caesar salad first course was almost a meal in itself! I prefer my steaks rare and it was perfectly cooked. The sweet red wine and shallot sauce was delightful and complemented my steak. Whipped potatoes on the side were seasoned, but I would have preferred a gravy with them. Perhaps the twice baked potato would have been a better choice, bit the portions were large and I couldn't finish the potatoes and cooked green beans (which tasted garden fresh) anyway. Definitely recommend coming here for your next fancy dinner out. The service team makes everyone feel at home, familiar, and like a special guest all at once. Unfortunately, I neglected to take photos this visit.

Had the filet mignon and lobster. It was cooked perfectly. The whipped potatoes and vegetables were delicious as well.

Best service ever the food was great but the steak wasn’t cut thick enough for the excellent name they have! I will go back there again for sure hoping next time my steak will be cut (—, —) chubbier lol

First time there and very disappointed. Won't return. Went with friends to enjoy a night out and was surrounded with 3 tables of loud drinks. So loud in fact the waitress was yelling the specials and we couldn't hear her. Unbelievable. Ordered Fries with my beef expecting a decent fry for a high end restaurant. They were worse than frozen package fries.

Excellent food and exceptional service made for an awesome evening celebrating two family milestones. We will definitely be returning.

Oh yes Carver's is amazing! Great staff, great food, always accommodating to everyone's needs. It is pricey but the atmosphere and food totally make up for it!

The ambiance and service was fantastic, while the cut of beef was average. All of the staff we dealt with were exceptional in their hospitality which really made the evening - they best I've had in Saskatoon. While the food was definitely good, the steaks used were not the best choices for what was ordered (i.e. Not cut thick enough for my taste). That said, because the service was so wonderful, I'd be happy to go back again.

The chicken was moist and Delicious paired with the Yorkshire pudding!

The patio was fantastic! Nice, clean, great view and warm in the evening. The sangria was tasty & reasonably priced, and the tuna poke bowl was fresh, filling and tasty. Good place for a relaxed meal and larger group.

Wonderfully intimate atmosphere and service. I was a little disappointed they had reduced their number of food options prepared tableside, but the quality of food and general enjoyment of the restaurant more than made up for this.

We loved Carvers. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was great! Morgan and Duncan were fantastic. We would definitely recommend this place and we will return!

The dishes are a bit pricey but worth it. I had the braised short ribs and it was more than enough, I ordered the brussel sprouts as a side dish and couldn't finish them. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The waitresses were very friendly and very pleasant to talk to.

Excellent steak and great atmosphere. Wine menu also very good. Definitely pricey but much better quality than Keg or Granary. Highly recommend!

Good steaks tucked away in a cosy corner of the hotel. It would be nice if the washrooms weren't a mile away.

Just had a meal at Carvers with my husband. Fairly disappointed. First off, had real difficulty reading the menu because of the low light. Ordered the scallops and tortellini - too bad it was cold by the time it arrived. Caesar salad had dressing sporadically placed on some of the lettuce. My husband had prime rib and while he said it was good, he said it would have been better if it was at least warm. Finally, ordered a drink (refill) while I still had food and had to remind the waitress 30 minutes later that it still had not arrived. Sweet girl but HORRIBLE service! Won't waste my money here again.
