Cheesetoast Restaurant

I have been going there since day 1.now I live in alberta and anytime I come to town they are my must place to eat.staff are great and Dian is a permanent figure lol.keep up the good job cheese toast

I visited cheese toast with my daughter and my ex girlfriend for dinner. We ordered the mushroom bacon burger with fries and gravy, the poutine, and the dry ribs and fries.  The food was great especially the dry ribs, The service was friendly and fast, and the portions were generous. The restaurant was clean and cozy, with a family-friendly atmosphere. I would recommend cheese toast to anyone looking for a satisfying and affordable meal.

Overall I like this restaurant. Prices are good. Food is great. I think that because they've been understaffed, service suffers at times.

Staff are so friendly and recognize you every time you return! The dry ribs are the best in Saskatoon! Gotta try them.

I wish I could give two different reviews in one… gonna try! 1st off…. This is my first bad review for here not for the restaurant (good review below) itself but for the server we had last night! I’m rating the server a 1 star or should really be a zero star. I went to a friends steak night fundraiser for her wedding last night and the server responsible was very bad. She made a poor child cry cuz she waited till close to the end before she even took his order and made him wait such a long time while others ate in front of him. It took 3 of us to try and get his order taken. We all paid good money to come but with that it took awhile to even get our orders take. And drink orders were poorly taken or hardly taken at all. She came to our table and asked the others for refill drinks but completely ignored me. Very very poor inexcusable service from this waitress! I’ve had way better service here before but from this particular server it was horrendous!

The food on the other hand was top notch and amazing! I have loved eating at cheese toast for years! 5 star on the food!

Eight of us had lunch / brunch today. We had a reservation which was ready for us.
Our order included chef salad, French toast, omelette and shrimp dinner specials. Prices are reasonable. Everyone enjoyed their meals - we had lots to eat and the service was excellent. I'm sure we'll be going back again.

Ordered steak and eggs, git a very clearly deep fried steak that was in a pool of fryer oil. Wait staff both said it wasn't deep fried, but the pool of canola oil said otherwise. The taller waitress really saved the interaction, probably won't return after a mouthful of fryer oil, but the frontstaff were very good. Kitchen staff need to wake up.

No complaints on the food, I couldn't give 5 stars because when I ordered takeout on 2 separate occasions there was an additional 10 to 15 minutes added to the wait time.

Was deeply disappointed the cheesecake was frozen and no reduction on bill was offered. Otherwise food very good, a very busy restaurant.

Simply the BEST and TASTIEST bone in dry rib in Saskatoon. French onion soup is very delicious as well. Great food. Decent price. Very awesome place.

I ordered the Greek Platter - The quality of food tasted like leftovers sitting in the fridge on the brink of going bad. The meat was a cheap quality with no good portions, the mashed potatoes with gravy were minute made package quality and I would give packaged stuff a higher bar, and the steam veggies were freezer burnt no name no name brand veggies topped with cheese-wiz. The meal was so disgusting I couldn’t bare to finish it. And that alone costed $40.00. If I could I would give it no stars. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CHEESETOAST.

Our eggs were shiny white grease and our waitress had a boring personality, didn't even ask if your food was good. The food has definitely gone down hill, they are to much into skip the dish that the customer's that come inside don't matter. I am sad to say I won't be back. Was a good place

Went for lunch, this is usually a good place to go. Today the staff turned up the music so loud it took away from a relaxing lunch. Another staff asked my companion for his ID, she said she asks everyone for ID, this was not so. Disappointed today

Came with my boyfriend it was my first time here and wasn’t disappointed (: Food was good and our waitress was attentive and friendly! Good prices, we spent 37$ altogether (2 plates, 2 drinks)

Best dry ribs an I order the Greek salad as well. Hubby got a double deluxe burger, it was huge

Prices are ok for what you get, no kid refills on drinks and kids pepperoni pizza was a bit spicy (for kids) I do like the pepperoni for adults

Diane the manager is amazing. The waitress Wanda is friendly; knowledgeable; is to talk to and just a great person

I love Cheesetoast not only are the staff extremely friendly and give great service but the food is always delicious. I will always recommend Cheesetoast to people when asked for good places to eat at!

We had the breakfast special, 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast, and coffee. It was.okay. Price was right, $21 for 2 of us, plus tip. Not sure I'd go back.

There were 6 of us and we were put in a very tight corner. The food was average, large quantity though. The service was definitely not the best. Our server was very cranky. She seemed very annoyed or time to retire. Clean environment wish our experience was better. Most likely won't return.

Had western omelette which tasted like nothing but mushroom. Toast was burned. Hashbrowns are just wafer thin slices of potato. Hostess needs to wear a mask that fits so it is not always falling well below her nose. Not our best experience!

Quick service. Generous portions and food was tasty. The shrimp scampi was delicious but would have been nice to have more than 5 for 4 people.

The wings tasted like they were fried in burnt oil and were they were overcooked. The ceasar dressing was watery and lacked flavor. The cheese toast.needed more flavor as well. And as for the dry ribs, mostly bone and barely any meat on them! A ridiculous price for dishes that did not taste good. Never again will we order from there.

I went to the restaurant to find some good food and drinks. The host was very very welcoming and the made me sit in the bar. From there it was all about good service, delicious food and good happy time spent. The owner also came out to welcome his guests which is always a good sign. The chicken wings were fresh and crispy. The server took care of me and made sure I was served all the time.

It’s dining area was filled with family tables. It was an awesome experience in general. I would recommend it to whoever has not been here. It’s just value for money!

Cheesetoast has good food and friendly waitresses. Clean and comfortable. Lots of room so no worries about having enough room.

Worst pizza i ever had never going order pizza from there ever again! Had to thorw it out over cooked and burnt! Had to go to the store to get pizza sauce cause there was barely any on there.

Most waiters are good, but some are obviously new. Wanda has been there years and I LOVE that we got her as a waitress, she is bubbly, and you don't even have to ask for a refill, she has them coming for you.

I had the Denver Sandwich, with fries and gravy. Their fries are delicious!

I wish that their senior staff could work alongside some of the new girls though and rub off some of their positive vibes. Wanda was done at 3, so halfway through our dine in time, our server changed and her service was sub-par.

Front of house staff is good and 90%of waiters/waitresses are good.

I will definitely be coming back though, the food is awesome!

Ribs where cold and tasteless more bone and fat than meat and please change your deep fryer oil it was old And that’s all I could taste pizza was good but again not warm not same cheese toast restaurant I remember last time I eat Cheese toast

The service upon arrival was less than polite! We were sat down promptly but were served with a rushed and erratic behaviour! She sat us down and left, didn't offer and drinks until we requested! She came back in less that one minute and asked us if we were ready to order? We knew what we were ordering but felt like we had to have our minds made up quick! Food came rather quick food was really oily - I had to dab the eggs and potato skins with my napkin to absorb the oil, not once did the unpleasant waitress ask us for anything else nor give us the bill, we got up went to the front desk and she tossed the bill at us and walked a way! The server was a taller women with black hair,

Family favourite! We love coming here for the dry ribs and ceasar combo. We have been coming here for many years and it's kind of that diamond in the rough type of place. The food is cooked well and we also enjoy the baked pasta. Very friendly staff but the owner is a phenomenal person who runs and incredible business. Would highly recommend checking this place out.

Excellent food, a bit pricey but the food makes up for it. You will leave satisfied. Only thing is the location of the restaurant is a bit off.

I have been going to Cheesetoast since 1970. Everytime I visit it's one of my favourite places. It's never disappointed. The food is excellent and portions are generous. Their Caesar salad is amazing. Waitresses friendly and booths comfortable. It's a smaller restaurant with relaxing lighting and music that you can talk over. You will have to hunt for the door in though. The sign is small but the service big.

The steak was great, my eggs well one was over easy like I asked it to be, the other was broken and the other over hard. And my toast was burnt but the potatoes were good as well. The atmosphere was well, they're renovating in there on the left side there's no tables at all or chairs staff was friendly. So it wasn't spectacular by any means but it's cheesetoast. Cheap eatable food. Coffee was good as well.

Food too salty, chocolate to sweer into a minicup, place kind of filthy, old & stinky carpet and someone was smoking in the kitchen.

Yo I don't understand how these people can say what they unless they were drunk before going in and they must no the staff because my experience was totally different from mine we sat at are table waiting for water than waited to order was ready to walk out than we were able to order when we finally got are meals it was cold and disgusting never went back poor service and food maybe it was just a bad day but I'm not going to waste money like that again and the thing that made it such a bad experience was that besides are table there was only three other tables and there was two waitresses and a host and the service was that bad and slow that meal wasn't the greatest and we couldn't even eat a third of the food because it was cold etc.
