Bread came out burnt. Both of our favorite dishes were no longer available on menu. We left dissapointed before even ordering. Water your zee zee plant its dieing

The pasta sauce was weirdly grainy, not smooth. The flavor was not that good. The pizzas were decent though. The service was okay, but the food was brought out 2 dishes at a time and there were long gaps between. The youngest kid af our table got food last and it was just pasta. The ribs were really good.

Something happened. Used to be my favorite restaurant but even the spinach salad is off these days.: (

We stopped in after a day of shopping and the food and drink were just right. The service was great, very attentive.

An 11/10 dinner! We started with Sirimi and Salmon Maki which was amazing! We did not expect to find great sushi at an Italian restaurant but it was delicious. Our main courses were also incredible, and cheap because we were here for pasta frenzie. Highly recommended!

The restaurant has a new menu. Everything we tried was excellent. The spring rolls in the picture are half gone because we couldn’t wait to dig in. Best I’ve ever tasted!
I took away one star for atmosphere because it is a bit loud.

We had fettacine Athena it was delicious. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of it. It was gluten free and delicious. Thanks to everyone who served us and cooked the food.

Beef short rib with truffle mashed potatoes is likely the best meat plate I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to a lot of countries trying beef.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Used to be a long time customer for years under the original ownership. Had my go-to menu items. Unfortunately this Asian owner has run it into the ground. Changed the recipes. Inedible. Rotten vegetables in the salad. As far as the pasta the recipe for the sauce has changed and is flavourless and all noodles barely any other components. Overcooked. Picked it up at lunch hour and there were zero customers now I know why. Called to inform and ask for a refund for the poor quality as it is not as expected. The person was the owner yet claimed there was no manager to talk to. Then he told me to take pictures and drive the food back to him to get a refund. Then he said he had to speak to his boss but didn’t know when he worked next. So here’s my review for all to stay far away unless you like wasting money on poor quality food and lack of accountability for poor operations. This will be the last time I ever return which is a shame as it used to be an old family favourite with the old owners.

Pleasantly surprised walking into the restaurant, immediately greeted with a warm smile and was seated immediately. As other post have commented the exterior and location not the best. Once inside you will immediately feel comfortable and be tended to with staff that still remember what customer service is all about. The food outstanding. I started with the shrimp appetizer, Wow! The quality in tasty, size of shrimp and size of portion was awesome. For my entree I was undecided with so many options and choices and with servers help he was able to make a suggestion that allowed me to have exactly what I wanted. Again the quality, taste and portion you will not be disappointed and folks it won’t break the bank. Great food great service and great value. Enjoy your experience, I did, so much that this is my first review.

This was an unexpected find. We took a group of 16 boys from a gymnastics tournament plus 6 parents to eat dinner here post competition. The service was quick, the food was delicious, and the price was very reasonable. When in Saskatoon, I highly recommend this place.

New menu and updated interior, everything seems to have improved 10x. We had dinner and even the free bread was different and better. So glad we went in today. My wife had the smoked salmon fettuccine alfredo and I had the same but with chicken. Both were great and in my opinion it's the best Alfredo sauce in town.

Took my 3 daughters for dinner. Our waitress was amazing, Pretty sure her name was Erica. 2 daughters had the new Burger. The youngest had the Chicken fedduccine and i had the new and improved lasagna.we all Ended with Cheese cake. Everything was amazing. The new decor and vibe in the place was top notch. We will be back for sure!

Bread was delicious. Main course was good but found the service to only be adequate. Place was busy so that could have been the reason.

This place has gone so far downhill. The prices are still high. The food took over an hour, and we had to ask for it to go. The excuse was that they had a lot of skip the dishes orders. We were given a card to get a free pasta. Will NOT go again.

Went for family lunch after church, the interior has been redone and looks good, staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good and not overly expensive.

Always used to eat pasta here, which was great, but this new beef dish has completely destroyed my New Year’s resolution and we’re only 6 days in?
The meat is ridiculously tender and tasty. I don’t know what they did to it, I’ve never had beef like that. I am dreadfully suspicious that they have slaughtered a unicorn but I don’t care and I hate myself for it. The potatoes are even better if such a thing was possible, butter and truffle. Worst of all, I see they now have it on special Fridays. $12? Goodbye six pack. Goodbye and good riddance.

Walked in the door at 4: 40pm. Hostess seemed flustered given it was not at all busy. Tables were not clean. Table had half glasses of water with some oil (no bread) waited 20 minutes and no one came to our table to take our order or even bring some bread. We decided to leave as we did not want to wait 1 hour for food.

Told the manager about it and he didn’t seem to understand our concern.
Very unimpressed and has definitely gone down him since new owners.

Will not be back and will advise people to go elsewhere.

Chianti’s is a family favourite. Food is tasty and consistent, service is good, and it has a nice atmosphere.

Something has changed about this place. Used to be one of my favourite restaurants to go to with my family but the service and communication has gone down hill. The food is still good, but the vibes are not welcoming at all.

As a side note, these owner responses in the reviews seem as if they aren't even reading the reviews. Just copy pasting "We appreciate your review. "

If you truly care about your business, get your staff together with an open mind and brainstorm the problems with your business. Pay them 1 days wages, go through all the reviews, and make a solid plan to fix them. I then suggest making some kind of event night and putting your restaurant to the test for the families that have gone there for years. As of right now, there are better options with better service.

I ordered food for delivery and it was delivered twice wrong. The first time they sent a whole different pasta, the second time they sent the pasta on gluten noodles, when I specified that it had to be on rice noodles due to a gluten allergy. I waited for 40 minutes to hear back from a manager or supervisor about getting me the correct food once again, and I was told that there is nothing they can do to help me because the manager left the restaurant for the night before 7: 00 pm. So I have now not gotten my correct food or money back. This is absolutely unacceptable.

The pasta I ordered was extremely spicy and I sent it back to be re-made. The server said I’d have to pay double the price to get it replaced. I asked for the manager who came out. He didn’t apologize or care what I thought. He said he had no problem making me another dish but I would pay due both. I said no, that’s unacceptable, and my family members and I have been eating there for 15 years. The manager was rude, ignorant, unprofessional, and didn’t care at all about us as customers. We went to pay and he said “don’t take her money, I don’t want her back again”
WOW! Avoid this establishment at all costs.

Went for pasta frenzy. Every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday all pastas are 12.95. They have a good variety and it’s big portions. Pasta is home made as well.

The wait time for food (and even for a server to stop by the table) was much longer than needed. Food was good. Wait was long.

The clamaari was the worst tasteless stuff I've ever had. The salad was putrid and uninspiring. Just bad all around.

The forks are not diner forks. My meatballs tasted like old beef. The sauce in my lasagna had no flavour. The waiter waited a half hour before bringing my drink. I had to remind him!
I used to go here once a week and tip the waiter/waitress $10 for their hard work and great service! Now I will never go here again! I will also pass the word …. CHIANTI Restaurant is not what was!

Well not the place I once remember. The service was ok, they definitely need more training but you could tell they were trying hard. Management needs to pay attention to that. As for ownership, would it kill you guys to have some linens? Vinyl covered tables and paper napkins dont exactly fit and Italian joint. I guess you get the experience you pay for and really the only reason why this review got a 3rd star is because of the fair pricing for good pasta (2.5 stars would be more appropriate), but stay away from the Pollo Prosciutto, its a generic, pre manufactured chicken cordon blue (you can tell from the thick cut ham vs actual Prosciutto).

First time ordering with Uber Eats with this restaurant. Spaghetti Alla Carbonara was great. Will order again in the future. Surprised by the fresh bread to!

We went for lunch. Appears they weren't running their lunch pasta bar. Just another couple in there. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the food was great! Fettucine noodles are thicker than your standard store-bought version you make at home as they are made in the restaurant. Great tasting food.

Chianti Cafe makes incredible food! My favourite dish is the pesto Alfredo gnocchi; it tastes delicious every time!

I should have just got pizza. Had gnocchi and fettuccine and both were very underwhelming. And we had those meals many times before and obvy loved them but even my redo was bland. The mushrooms were rubbery too. I'm turned off and my child asked me not to order from there again. Sighhh

Service was excellent on a Friday at 5.baked Canneloni was awesome.salmon was perfect.calamari MINT. Drinks were perfect.are server was awesome that made it all the better we will be back!

Kindly check your server’s attitude. Been there at 11: 55am to pick-up a Skip The Dishes order and this Asian guy who have me a weird stare and attitude as he handed the order to me. The worst part was, he said something negative to his co-worker as I walked away, I didn’t respond back as time is very important to us couriers rather than arguing for nothing. These people don’t think that even they don’t have customers they our paid on an hourly basis, unlike us couriers we are paid on the orders taken and delivered. So you should treat us fairly like your customers! It’s very seldom that I picked up orders from this establishment, and this is what I will get? !? ‍️‍️‍️

I don’t even know where to start. From the time we waited 10mins until I had to go ask for menus to 50 mins later when we got our inedible, unseasoned, food. Of which two orders were wrong. My seafood was rubbery and not fresh. I could go on.and on. Don’t.eat…here.: ever. Gross. P. S- I was there 15 years ago and the interior is exactly the same. Some kid had wrote their name in the dust in the chair in the waiting area. So…yeah.

Service was very slow for an empty restaurant, our toddlers chocolate milk came out rotten, we didn’t get one water refill for the 2 hours we spent there, food came out slow and was mediocre.

The food was AMAZING. I ordered the Lasagna n my food partner had Fettuccine Alfredo. Both meals soooo delicious. They were in middle of renos n the space wasn't in the greatest shape so. 4 out of 5.

One dish we got smelled like rubbing alcohol and tasted sour and the fettuccine Alfredo had no flavour and was a bowl of white water and noodles we have went here many times in the past and it gets worse and worse every time this was the last straw never going again and would never recommend someone ever going here.

The days they have pasta frenzy deals are total must-go. They make the pasta and the pre-meal bread is warm (you cant go wrong with that). Our serve (Jesse) was an absolute delight and really added to our outing.

Horrible Management, he openly treats his staff poorly. And the food was bland, not worth the visit and I definitely won’t be supporting a restaurant who treats their staff so poorly.

My friends and I go out to dinner pretty much weekly and this was our best waitor experience so far! Jesse was wonderful, made great conversation, and was overall very friendly. The food was also great and we went on a pasta frenzy night so the prices were great!

Usually love this little spot in Saskatoon! However, last visit the two staff where horrible!

Always had to ask for something! When it was our drinks, I had had to ask for cream for the coffee, then the tea spoon. Next the bread was hard on all edges! Thirdly, the food was not on par.

The interior could use some updates. It's not old but the interior design is starting to feel outdated. My family ordered off the fettuccine section. Alot of the sauces were on the blander side and the pasta was way too thick to be fettuccine. I ordered the fettuccine carribean which was one of the only fettuccine dishes with some amount of flavour but it still lacked the spice of most curry dishes and it used the fake shredded crab instead of the real thing. I would rate this place lower if it wasn't for the wonderful costumer service and amazing bread. The coffee was pretty good too. Overall decent expirience but the interior needs updates and the pasta needs some work.

Good dining experience. Food was tasty. Variety of Italian dishes. Pasta was my choice. Close to midtown mall. Lots of dining space. They have a delicious variety of dessert menu. Overall a fine Italian dining restaurant. Parking available in front of the restaurant. Wasn't busy when I visited.

Got cold food. Tasteless. Water for sauce. Super uncooked noodles.
Other dish had dirty sandy clams. Nothing cleaned. Poor quality.

We used to go here regularly a few years ago, but lately everytime we go, service, food and just general experience at Chiantis is sub par. We try to give it another shot for the past 2 times, but always leave disappointed. We likely won't be back until reviews reflect a better experience.

Last meal was terrible. My family used to eat here often, but after last night's experience we will not go back. We ordered our food and I received my chicken dish. I took a a couple bites into the chicken and it was a hard, crunchy, rubbery texture that was really not good. I ask the waiter and it was taken back to the kitchen and then brought back to me (a little more cut up!) And set it back down for me to eat. They said that was the way it was supposed to be because it was the chicken was not plumped with salt water.
It was terrible and so I asked for something else. It took almost 25 minutes to get chicken parmigiana. There were 8 other people in the restraunt.
No apologies, just hesitation like they expected me to be happy with their explanation. We did receive a stamp card that if we came in and ordered 2 more meals we would get one free. I left it on the table.
The fact that I send my dish back because it was not good (honestly I can not remember the last time I ever did this) and they brought it back to me, after slicing it further telling me that is how it is supposed to be boggles my mind. I have had the dish many times in the past and it was never like that.
I asked my wife if there is new ownership or something because this was strange and after looking we found th ownership has changed. We will not be going back which is unfortunate because we really enjoyed eating here in the past.

In response to owner: we visited today August 28 at 6pm.

I’m in actual mourning over this. Pre-pandemic I would eat Chianti’s 1-2x a week (excessive, I know. But I used to work right beside them). I could rehearse the menu in my sleep. Unfortunately, the waiter tonight could not. It doesn’t matter if it’s new staff, they do not go on the floor until they are familiar with the menu.
We waited 40 minutes just to be given bread.
By all means, just update the drink menu instead of tell us all the things on the menu are unavailable (including draft? !).
It was difficult to distinguish who was a server and who was a customer. Half servers were dressed in very pedestrian clothes and other half were in black.
After 45 minutes of waiting, another customer started coughing uncontrollably and it was our last straw. We took the food home. Only to be left starved caused I can’t even cut through my chicken Alaska with a steak knife: ’ (
We obviously were upset and asked to pack up our food. They didn’t ask why we were upset or needed to leave and then had the audacity to ask for “A NICE BIG TIP” before we even tasted the food.

An unpleasant experience at Chianti this week. Waiter was most uninterested in doing his job, pasta was severely undercooked and chicken dish was overcooked. Coffee machine apparently was not working. This business is now off my list for future visits.

First time for me having food from there. My son got us supper after work. The pasta salad was very good. My husband enjoyed his baked Seafood Fettucine.

Must have got the newbie tonight. I have never heard so many I'm sorry ever. Coffee came cold sent that back couldn't get another cause their machine was broke. Soup came very good baked onion soup. Food came just as we started eating the soup pasta was gold sauce was cold sent that back. My husband just ordered appies cause he didn't want to wait another 45 minutes for warm food. I waited food came loaded with onions which I had ordered without. I just put it in a Togo box. Yes they offered another drink and coupons but sometimes all you want is a good hot meal. I ask where the manager on duty was and got told he was too busy doing other stuff. Good on you Chianti's so sad a good restaurant gone bad poor management.

Do not go here staff do not get their tips, only some do! Absolutely floored to hear what they do with the tips earned by service staff "tips are divided up 60% front of house only to those rated 80% or higher on evaluation".

Always love this place. Freshly made fluffy bread. Fresh pasta with original sauces. So good. They try really hard to have great service too!

Poor customer service. They forget items and then try to lie and say they will give you a free item next time you order through skip. When I asked how that would work they then proceeded to backpedal and admit you cannot redeem such things through skip. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told there was no manager working.
