A local hardware store. The are usually several staff available who actually know what they're talking about.
Not necessarily quite as big of selection as the big box stores, but prices are usually quite comparable on standard items (maybe a few % more) but often actually a bit better on less common items. (It's been a while since I checked, but I'm assuming that still holds true).

Put up some prices on your lumber so I know the costs before i start grabbing materials. Spent my money elsewhere today.

Bought a 3 seater swing for my backyard.it's awesome! It makes you wanna relax on there all day.thank you Co-OP home centre.

Service is iffy. Prices are usually more than Home Depot or Lowes. The circle drive location is better than the 8th street location for stock and selection. Worth checking it out when you can't get what you need from the box stores.

Clean washroom, great selection, and knowledgeable staff. Only complaint is having to go into the store rather than search inventory online.

Besides being expensive, I go here all the time. Low staff turn over, so the consistent atmosphere I like. Great local/Sask made product. The co-op branding food is really good as well.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff - I will be buying a lot more from here that's for sure.

Sorry to say, the lumber yard is a mess! The signage is poor, and ground is full of gravel, hard to find what we needed (sold out).
The employees are nice, and we like shopping here because it's unionized. Just the place looks kinda dumpy.

Only needed a few small blocks of wood. The warehouse man was kind enough to cut and give them to me free from scrap wood. That's what I call customer service. Excellent job Corp

Horrible.
I went there today to get air mattresses for work. There was only one twin mattress on the shelf so I went to the til and the cashier told me that the computer is stating there are 3 in the store and asked me to go to customer service and they would look in the warehouse for me.
I went to customer service and there were two older gentlemen standing there. I let them know that the cashier directed me here and reiterated what the cashier said that the computer stated that there were 3 mattresses in the store.
The men stared at me and said “okay? We can’t always trust the computer? They could be anywhere”
I don’t think the men were lazy I just honestly think just didn’t care enough to help me.
They were very unwelcoming and super rude.
I informed the cashier that the men where not helpful and very rude and she apologized on their behalf.

Poor customer service. No one knew where the turf builder was. Sent to four different areas in the store.

First time there. Was really impressed with store. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely shop there again.

Friendly staff willing to go above and beyond to provide great service. That's why I deal with Coop.

Have never taken time to write a bad review about a place, but I had a very unprofessional experience yesterday. Was in through the lumber yard yesterday morning and there was an employee changing her clothing and applying deoderant when i walked in to pay, right in front of me! I was shocked as Coop has always seemed a professional place.

Excellent service, gave my a gentleman to help me find my lumber and help load. Some prices competitive and soma a little off.

Previously, had purchased a modular garden from the 8th street home centre but needed to find some other products that were not in that store. Luckily, this store had just what I needed. I found a grow light for my seedlings and a seedling greenhouse with a heating mat which should be helpful for next year's seeds. I also purchased a 6-cube shelf that was very easy to put together on my own. I might even go back for another one to better display my indoor plants. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and it was a great experience for me.

A fairly decent home centre! Pretty much everything you could be looking for. I like the bulk screws, as a DIYer, and the lumber selection is huge. High prices and an absence of service/cashier staff hurt the score.

Very different products that can't be found anywhere else! Cashier needed too brush up on customer service skills.
