Discovery Co-op Food Store

I buy local to support Sask when possible. What I can't stand though, is that when I buy goods wearing normal clothes and use a cart, I have no problems. When I dress casual, use a backpack, and looking poor and INIDIAN (braid out), I'm followed around by security and asked to be searched. I look white, and can blend when I want. When I dress stereotypical INDIAN, I'm followed around and expected to steal. I lived and worked in northern BC for three years, and was never once treated this way once. I come home, only to be treated as second or third class citizen. The prejudice after coming home has soured my experience with North Battleford. So far the only placed that hasn't treated me badly based on my appearance, has been Sobeys and Giant Tiger. Walmart and COOP has both tried to ILLEGALLY search me.

Clean store, Great staff; love the bakery! I returned a full tray of chicken, they exchanged it, no questions asked.

The produce is always fresh. The meat is great quality and the staff is very knowledgeable.

I love Debbie! She always double checks things and her humour is awsome! If something is expensive then she will double check with you and ask if yih still want them! She’s awsome!

My wife and I have been shopping here for years it is a nice place to shop for your grocery needs. But when you are not treated as a valued customer it can change how you look at things. The red head lady cashier is rude and needs to work on her manners. She is not friendly and does not smile.
The other cashiers that have helped me out are friendly and I have not had any issues with them. They treat you right and that is what customer satisfaction is all about.
Next time I will avoid this red head lady. I like cashiers that are friendly and helpful.

I love the co-op, but this location never has black olives in stock. They have the best fried chicken in town, but sometimes the chicken tenders are not fresh and get dry and tough.

Never have a problem in produce but the meat section people always poke finger imprints on the fresh meat. And more often than I should, I find I bought expired goods. I've seen a worker inquiring about an expiry date and was told to place it anyway. I usually shop across at Sobeys, everytime I save the distance to come here I encounter a problem.

Friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about the goods offered within the service and can offer recommendations or alternatives for others. Organized, clean, good place to quickly purchase liquor.

I think coop needs to revisit the meaning of, Express. Their Express lane is the slowest in the store.

Nice store, great selection in the bakery and good produce I come here mostly for the excellent meat department. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Love the service! Wish it wasn't sooo expensive. But always purchase my meat from here. It's fresh and you can trust it!

I prefer shopping at Co-op over any other grocery store in town. Although, i had a problem with one of the cashiers the other night. I am amusing she had already had counted her till to be done for the night and i had came in with ten minutes left before actually closing the store. I only needed one thing and when i quickly finished grabbing what i needed, I came up to the till with her asking me “are you paying with debit or cash? ” after replying with cash, she rolled her eyes and gasped! She didn’t even tell me the total or to have a good evening, not even a smile. I was not impressed with the service i received.
