Earls Kitchen + Bar

This review is purely on service, not the food or atmosphere.

To give some context I originally booked a table for a 50th birthday, at the beginning January for the 20 January 2024 for 16 people at 1800. This was all confirmed by text.

Fast forward to 19 January 2024 at 1930 I received a call from the restaurant apologizing as they needed to cancel my reservation due to a burst water pipe, understanding this is not something anyone can control I was gracious and asked if the other location in Regina could host us. I was told to call as from her system she couldn’t see.

I ended the call and a little stressed as you can imagine I called the other Earls location and unsurprisingly they were full as it was less than 24 hours notice. However I did get some more information, that in fact the burst pipe had happened much earlier in the week. I thanked him and ended the call.

As you can imagine my stress went to anger, as this restaurant knew the reservation was for a birthday and yet they saw fit to wait until the night before, forcing me to scramble to find a venue to host 16 guests last minute. It’s terrible forethought of the management, I understand mitigating loss but for a large group they could have called the other location and booked us in to avoid this unnecessary situation or even had called on the day or day after the burst pipe to inform me so I could make arrangements in plenty of time.

I have raised this as a complaint also and I want to note this is not against the member of staff I spoke with, my anguish is purely with management as they are the ones paid to plan for these circumstances.

I’ve been to around a dozen different steak houses in Regina these past couple months and this location probably did the worst in every category.

For food I had gotten a couple appetizers and steak and lobster, the appetizers were probably the only good thing but when it came to the steak and lobster they were below average for a restaurant in this city.

The waitress was very nice but we ended up waiting over 30 minutes after sitting down just to order are food after we received are drinks, we were all confused and thought we they forgot about us since it wasn’t a busy night. The atmosphere of the building was well lit and clean but even as a young adult the music was unreasonably loud and hard to hear each-other at the table over it.

Stopped in for lunch on my way through the city. Bella, my server was excellent. Friendly and welcoming. Food arrived quickly and was good. Bella made my experience enjoyable!

Earls East is way better than Houston’s! Drinks were great and so was the staff! Staff at the East Earls is way better than the South Earls! Noah Taliyah and the manager took great care of us! Definitely the place to drink

Kaltrina gave us amazing service. One of the best dine in experiences I’ve had at in a while! Can’t wait to return!

This is my always my favourite Earls experience. Relaxed, non-pretentious, and affordable. I have not only entertained personally here with large parties, but also small business events. Always a perfect time.

Jess, the day manager; is beyond attentive and in tune. She has a great rapport with the entire restaurant at all times, and will never leave a table neglected. This girl can do it all. Sorry Earls south, earls east is the bomb. ️

It’s with a great pleasure to be able to pass on the positive - the positive that far too often doesn’t get noticed or acknowledged.

The place was bumping! Full of people enjoying themselves, staff coming and going making sure tables were clear and very friendly, moving with a purpose.

We were greeted by two managers - Jaden particularly stood out with his personable skills, pouring us water, telling us about the night and acknowledging that there was a birthday being celebrated.

The service was timely, and well executed. We were offered appetizers, and asked if we had questions about the menu.

The food came within a short 20 minutes which was very fast considering how busy the room was, so - here is my opportunity to insert a shoutout to the kitchen team and expos, great work. Their work often goes unnoticed by guests, so be sure to show them this!

The food was hot, fresh and delicious.

Once we were ready to head out, Jaden checked on us again and made sure that our experience was everything we wanted. He offered a birthday dessert, and sent us on our way with a card from the staff and a generous gift of the new Earls cook book.

10/10 to the whole east Earls team. Well done!

Food is usually good, day time manager goes out of her way to make sure everything is good

The ambiance and food were good, however the service was very poor. There’s only 4 occupied tables and there were 4 staff but it takes us more than 1 hr to wait for our food. To add to the frustration, the server missed 1 of the food we ordered! We just had to cancel it as we do not want to wait another 1 hr or even more for it. It has totally ruined my sister’s birthday. So if you want to go to this place, consider waiting for eternity.
The servers there were busy attending to the empty tables putting cutleries on the table while the guests are waiting for servers to get the order. Very poor customer service, not again.

First and foremost the food! Oh my goodness the food was flavourful compliments to the chef. However, too much ice in the drinks I had to get a refill just to have a full glass of coke. I know refills are free but it creates more work for the servers.

So the next part of review is based on Saturday around 6pm I am not sure if this is busy hour or if Earls is always this busy.

Based on Saturdays experience Earls is an extremely busy restaurant. If you want a romantic quiet place to eat this is not it. I honestly almost walked out because it was just too busy. I felt like the restaurant is for outgoing people because it is really loud.

Despite how busy the place was, the staff were working hard to get things going. The staff are friendly and professional probably a bit overworked.

I would bring friends and family here for a good upbeat meal. Not a good place for a first quiet date because there is not much opportunity for a private conversation as it has an open concept. Be as it may, there are some people who can talk with ease in such loud environments.

Overall I was very much impressed with the food, most definitely one of Regina's finest Restaurants.

Manager Kassidy was amazing and bartender Cameron provided great service. Will be back again for Saturday nights

We were at Earl’s tonight and had excellent food and service. The manager, Taliyah, stopped by our table and made sure everything was going well. Such a pleasant individual who was warm
and welcoming in a truly sincere way.
We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending this location to our fellow travellers.

First time to visit Earls last night for my birthday dinner with my sisters. Waitress didn’t introduce herself, took 20 mins to get our drinks the fact that they weren’t even busy. She forgot our appetizer instead 40 mins later our main course came and asked her to just cancel our appetizer. Not impressed with the service. Food is okay. Would not coming back.

Earls east is the best! My daughter moved to Regina this year and got a job there! Every time we visit, Earls is a must for us! Phenomenal service and phenomenal food every single time! Big shout out to Rina and Makayla for the excellent service! Great place to work, great service, and great food and drinks!

2 years in a row the service has been great on my birthday. Kass served us both times and she is amazing. I was given a lovely bouquet of flowers, (Laurel picked the colours to match might dress). As well as a cake decorated by Sarah L. It really made my day.

Great service, food arrived fast and was good quality, but the music was a bit too loud, but overall a good experience!

Had a really good experience here with great service. Wonderful food and friendly staff, I recommend this place for any helmet together whether with family or friends.

The ambience was good. But what I didn’t like much was the speed of service and the quality.

Sat at the bar for a few drinks, before my table was ready. The bartender took great care of us and our server laurel was very attentive. She took care of a dessert for a birthday! The manager on tonight came by to check if our food was tasting good and it was awesome! Cant wait to come back to this location again!

Very deceptive pricing of menu items meaning lots of hidden charges. This is the first resteraunt I have ever felt the need to post a negative review. I currently have no desire to ever walk through Earl's doors again!

Great patio experience and yummy happy hour appetizers. Spinach tip and crispy shrimp tacos

Food was pretty tasty, had nice outside patio area, but no tables for six, and the table they gave us was dirty. So will withhold a higher rating - could just be an off-day
