Elk Ridge Resort

It was great to have several different accommodations options that worked for our family. We also enjoyed that there was lots of different activities that the hotel provides at no extra cost. They even had board games and books for guests that were great when the weather did not Cooperate for our outdoor plans. The staff were also very helpful they found extension cords for us to also plug in our vehicle when the Temps really plummeted. It is also such a beautiful set up with so much to offer.

Our family loves going to Elk Ridge. It is so beautiful in the winter and much work is put into creating an ambience full of "hygge" both in the lodge and in the natural surroundings. We always find there is lots our children want to do for activities and everyone is happy there. The staff are helpful and accommodating, as well. Thanks Elk Ridge!

We stayed at the Elk Ridge on the Lake for 1 night while there to do a contract job. We thought we were staying at the resort until we went there and found out we were booked in at the one at the lake. I do have to say that the customer service person we dealt with, Lindsay was very nice. Our room was great, large, clean and had everything we needed. Comfy bed, kitchenette with a full fridge, microwave, stove and dishes.
After waiting for 15 minutes to get our key then drive back to the lake, we were not told where to find our room so we walked up a flight and a half, carrying all our stuff, (I'm 62 with arthritis in my knees) to find our room was not there, we walked back down, walked around the outside of the building and found another stairway at the very back of the building and walked back up. There was no one at the office to guide us, or no map posted.
Reading the guide book in the room, we learned we had to wash and put away all the dishes AND take out our own garbage or we will be charged a fee. The instructions for the tv remotes left us trying to figure them out on our own. Looking at our invoice, we learned that we were charged a marketing fee and a resort fee (whatever that is). At well over $200 a night, not being able to check in until 4 and leave by 11, I'm surprised we didn't have to make our own bed.

This place was great! Rooms were excellent food was good. This had the best hotel gym I've ever seen! Very nice to see. The pool was well maintained everything was high class at elk ridge really enjoyed my stay!

Great place to stay and experience a beautiful vacation with the family. Recommend to anyone!

Really enjoyed this place. The new management has trimmed in some places, but has still met the needs of the clientele. The outdoors was very elegant and had a winter charm. The food at the wyld was better than it ever has been. We had one minor glitch and the front desk went above and beyond to make it right. Very happy with our weekend.

Me and my boyfriend went up with his brother and sister-in-law last weekend.
And honestly I think we all agreed that we wouldn’t go again.
For how expensive it is, it is not worth it in my opinion.
I understand the desk is busy, but there were two times I called in to book a pool time, and one time I didn’t get a callback at all. And the other time it took 35+ mins.
(By that time I had already driven to the lodge to book it in person)

The hot tub was honestly very very gross. Every time we went there was a literal ring on dirt around the hot tub, of hair and dead skin cells.
On the last night of our stay me and my boyfriend pushed all the grime through the hot tub filter, but it just spit it all back out in one big clump.
Very disgusting. (Wish I took pics cause I’m not exaggerating. We were grossed out as well as other people staying there. It got to a point where we were all sitting in the ‘clean’ spots. And if they were all taken then people would just sit on one of the lounge chairs instead lol)

The townhouse we stayed at wasn’t cleaned well. There was long hairs left on one of our pillowcases when we checked in.
The rules of the townhouse were very inconsistent. There was a sheet of rules taped in the cupboard and then a different sheet of rules in a frame in front of the door. Both saying different things regarding parking and dishes etc.first thing we noticed when we got settled in was the wifi was busted.
A lot of the taps leaked if you turned them to almost maximum pressure.

The customer service was always super great, very friendly staff which was appreciated!
But when we checked out and got asked how our stay was, we said ‘oh it was just alright’
And then she told us to have a nice day. Definitely thought maybe she would of asked why it was only alright haha

The roads were absolutely awful. You basically had to drive under 10 to not get tossed around in the car because of how bad the ruts were.

Overall for the huge price it was, it wasn’t worth it. We all wore skis that were too small because there wasn’t enough selection. Skates seemed very wore out. And the pool was nasty. Our room was not cleaned and things were broken.
We will go to another resort next time

What a beautiful resort! Not only does it make it easy to enjoy winter activities and enjoy the gorgeous Saskatchewan landscape, their customer service is AMAZING.
Every single employee took a GENUINE interest in my stay, and helped me in many ways. I was so impressed when, upon finding out I had brought the power cord for the wrong computer and was leading a customer service and teambuilding workshop the next day, the Manager Sahil went to his own home and brought me his personal power cord to use so I could provide the best workshop possible. That kind of caring shows through in his team as well. They are a model of what a service oriented team should be and it shows.
The room was very comfortable and I have included a picture of the gorgeous views from the restaurant where they have a very reasonably priced continental breakfast I love the hot tub and pool after a long day.
I highly recommend this resort for both personal and business retreats. The set up for the workshop and lunch was wonderful as well. I can't wait to try the spa next time!

I am a wedding photographer and I recently worked at this beautiful venue for a winter wedding. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, I had a few small requests and they were so happy to be of service. We used some indoor space for family photos then took the bride & groom outdoors for some gorgeous National Park backdrops. I think this is one of my favourite spots in SK to capture wedding portraits!

I will never be able to say enough good things about this resort! This past weekend, our U11 hockey team hosted a pond tournament at Elkridge. The staff went above and beyond to make the experience the most memorable tournament EVER! Our players and families will be talking about it for the rest of our lives!

The amenities around the resort make the location a perfect family getaway! I highly recommend checking it out with or without a family! There are so many great winter activities to do at NO ADDITIONAL charge right at the Elkridge Resort!

It was a couple's getaway. They have everything you need to get back to nature and have fun doing it. With skating, x-country skiing, curling, and many more outdoor activities to enjoy. And the rooms were amazing, and the view from the balcony at night.

Property is extremely run down and showing it’s age. The accommodations are lack lustre and not worth the priceProperty is showing its age, very run down.

Elk Ridge Resort is the perfect winter get away in the boreal forest. We enjoy watching the deer in the early morning from our pond view room. Followed by a day full of fun winter activities. Not to mention the access to Prince Albert National Park. We are always sad to leave but look forward to booking our next visit.

What a magical place in the winter! So many fun things to do! The only reason it lost a star is the townhouse we stayed In May have been a bit dated for the price but honestly it was still everything we needed. I want to come back every winter.

Rooms were great, service was very friendly and they make you feel at home. Free skates and skis all day, such a great weekend!

Wow. We love this place and all it offers! The lodge and cabins are beautiful, well maintained, and welcoming. The staff is friendly, the food is great, and the activities are wonderful!

Great place to go with the whole Family and Friends. We went in the winter and there is lots to do and see. Highly Recommended. ALL the staff was top notch. Tubing/Sleding hill. Hockey rinks with lots of skates and no rental fee. Pool was clean. Outdoor fires everywhere. Food was awesome and drinks were Tasty!

Great staff, facilities are super, bike/walking trails are excellent and for all skill levels, golf is fantastic

I find this hard to rate as there was alot of amazing aspects but some not so much. Spa was completely booked and the restaurant was closed for a wedding. The beds were uncomfortable and when we attended there was a grad party that was so loud the attendees were screaming through the halls. Got very very little sleep. All staff was amazingly nice and the gold course has out of this world service! We golfed all 3 courses and couldn't change a thing if I tried!

A fantastic hidden gem, with a beautiful drive! The resort is well maintained! The dining room has a lovely view and hear the golf course is stunning! Great place for a wedding!

I have not yet stayed at Elkridge since the new ownership, but in the past I have had excellent service and experiences. I recently had a booking set up for May long, and sadly due to covid reasons, had to cancel. My customer service experience on the phone was interesting. I had spoken to a few different staff members throughout the past few months prior. I called to cancel my reservation the day before final payment was about to come out. I was told it was confirmed cancelled, but I was still charged the final amount the next day, which was unexpected. I called back as soon as I saw this charge. Salal was very helpful. I had spoken with him a few times and he always explained everything in great detail. In the end, I was refunded back. Thank you Salal for helping with the booking, being thorough, and for your excellent customer service.

A mix or excellent, with minor disappointment. We spent a night on a stay and play. Played golf before checking in as check in is at 4pm, when we arrived at 430 our room was not ready and we had to wait to get to our room until after 5pm, even though the resort was not full.

Fredrick had great meals. We enjoyed the duck appetizer (very tasty, but over done), steak (Wanted the elk steak but they did not have any) and the Lake Trout (sourced out of USA, cause they couldn't locally source due to COVID). All meals were tasty.

Room was re done and very nice, but they're still working on minor things like the patio rails (staining touch ups needed)

Course is in good shape considering it did not get top notch care last year, but work is still needed.

They have new ownership and I see it being a top notch amazing destination, its early in the re opening and it showed, but we'll be back.

Came to celebrate our 30th
Wedding anniversary with the mid week play and stay package.
Did exactly that. Played all the course of golf and ate at the pub and had a fancy night at the Fredrick. Our room was lovely but the staff was the star of the show.
All helpful and friendly!
Big shout out to Sadie our beer cart and pavilion girl for making us feel like family.
We will be back!

Elk Ridge is a beautiful resort and such a nice place to get away to! It's just a really lovely and dreamy place to visit in winter with friendly staff that make everything easy and pleasant. And the restaurant is very good. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Clean and pleasant rooms. Fantastic location for a winter visit, with free rentals of cross country skis, ice skates, and snowshoes. Friendly staff everywhere.

Lovely winter drive up to an impressive looking lodge. We opted to book a lodge stay to try the amenities included, which are cross country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, curling, and a pool/hot tub. Again, find your size of equipment, sign out at the desk, and go! The Fireside Grill faces a rink, with a cleaned path for skating around, and 2 small hockey rinks. A path for skiing, snowshoeing or walking goes around the lake as well. The room we stayed in-they are dated. Needs new mattresses, rugs, furniture. Functional for what we needed, as we got a deal on the room. Would not be impressed if we paid full price. However, this lodge is situated in nature, and it fits the northern getaway.

The place is good for prayers. The workers are welcoming and seriously working to make the visitor feel a real welcome home.

It was a really nice experience for me there were lots of outdoor activities as well as nice service and multiple indoor activities such as cupcake decorating the one thing i suggest is bringing your own food because they give you fifty dollars to spend at the restaurant but its only once so if you are staying a while i suggest bringing some food.
