Got my winter tires changed into summers and appreciates the prompt service and expert advice!

Dropped off a tire for repair first thing in the morning and received a text 1/2 hr later saying it was fixed. It was a few hours before I was able to pick it up, and I was welcomed by name! This makes a person feel valued when a business remembers your name!:)

I was very happy with my Fountain Tire experience. I called last minute and got in the same day. Went in for a second opinion on my “irreparable” tire and they were able to fix it within 45min. They were thorough, honest and helpful. Highly recommend going here.

Great place! I just bought a car from Saskatoon and it ended up having a flat tire right before I was leaving, with everywhere closed (even fountain) I stopped by needing a fix extremely bad and everyone was very willing to help us out free of charge. Couldn’t be more happy with their services Thanks fountain tire you were lifesavers!

I stopped in while travelling through Saskatoon because my check tire pressure light came on. The shop staff were very friendly and filled up my tires to the right pressure for no charge.

I had a leaking tire due to the tire not sitting completely on the bead due to some rust (which should not have been an issue if it was brushed and cleaned properly before re-installing the new tires) it was the second such repair that I had to come in for since fountain tire installed my set of tires (first time I was not charged for a different tire).

When I spoke to the attendant, I told her we were in town for family function and that I would not be able to get back to the company before 5pm (closing time). I asked if they could put my key fob somewhere in the vehicle when done so I could pick it up when we were done our family get together. I asked if I could pay by Mastercard on the phone as I was told that if a charge was made I would have to pay before they released the car (fair enough).

When I was contacted around 4: 10 that the tire rim needed a buff and a sealant applied, with a charge of $41.63. I re-iterated that I wouldn’t be able to get to the business before close and asked to pay on the phone. This is when I was told it was against policy to accept payment on the phone and I had to make the payment in person at the shop.

Not once was this communicated to me when I was at the shop when I dropped off my vehicle. If it was, I would have said, ” nope, not today then, I’ll try again another time”

I talked with the manager who backed up his staff member and was fairly inflexible with offering up an exception,
but extended an olive branch in being able to stay till 530-6. So I had to leave my family function and get together south of the city, drive during rush hour, pay, then drive all the way back to get my family.

It was very disappointing and discouraging experience for me, my kids and the family as we don’t get to go do stuff like that very often. The lack of clarity and poor quality of the communication over how payment could be received made it feel manipulative, especially since the previous time I was there for the same issue, I was charged $0.

Short of the owner of this shop contacting me and rectifying the situation and experience, and if able I’d gladly change my rating, but at this point I would not use this shop again nor would I recommend this tire shop to any family or friends.

I highly recommend fountain tire. Helped me out super last minute on Christmas Eve so I could make it home for Christmas. Friendly staff and great service.

Bought tires after a few months went crack. They told me that they cannot change it and apply tire conditioner. I called good year and refer me to different shop and they can replace it. I will never go back to this shop again.go somewhere else.

I cannot be happier from the service here today.
I already had to postpone my initial tire appointment because of ordering from BC warehouse. On the day of appointment, we found out that the tire order never went through. However they offered different tire model available today, with price matching. TBH I was expecting rebooking.

The tire installation was really quick so I couldn't finish my coffee.
I should have got gentleman's name who helped me today. Thank you for the great service at 8am on Sept 17th.

Great place to go very helpful and I find the way they do the appraisal great! They take picture of the actual part on your car that needs repair.
They are good at what they do.over all very happy with the service.

Was leaving the city when we discovered a flat. Was grateful that Fountain Tire was able to help us get back on the road past closing time. Thank you for going above and beyond

Unbelievable, I paid almost 200.00 for them to tell me my battery was dead. I already knew that! The service was rudimentary at best from Alicia, whom I told "do whatever it takes to get my car running" That didn't hap
pen, as all they did was a diagnostic which solved nothing. Do not go there! Terrible experience!

Fountains Tore came out in a moments notice and was able to take tires off an old truck take them back to the shop and have them put on new rims and balanced. Great service.

Good selection, service, and price. Got into my appointment right on time. Phone chargers and televisions to help pass the time.

Had an alignment done here and a control arm bolt was not tightened properly and caused the alignment to go drastically out of spec. Without even asking for a copy of the receipt they were able to book me in the next day, and got it all fixed up no questions asked, for free. Brendan is an OG.

This is the worst place you could ever go for service. They'll book you in and leave your vehicle in the parking lot all day even tho you had an appointment. Not the first time they did this to me, only reason I went again is that they were across the road. What a waste of my time.

I've been dealing with Fountain Tire on Millar Avenue in Saskatoon for many years. I started buying tires there and then began getting my service work done as they are conveniently located to my work. I find their service great. I always get a quote and the final price reflects that quote. If they find anything else wrong they call and explain what needs to be done and why. You can either get the work done or not at your discretion. I find the rates are competitive and they stand behind their work. I've been pleased with the service work I get and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Give them a try. You may find you like dealing there.

Very poor. Took my car on to get winter tires put on. Appointment was at 1, didn't get out of there till almost 4.
They broke a piece off of my car, they are going to fix it, but really? Almost 3 hours to change tires on a Chrysler 300? Unreal. Won't be going back after my car is fixed. I found it odd that they had appointments open on the first snow day of the year.maybe that's why.

Very poor experience. Went to have a flat front passenger tire replaced. I had warranty on the tire so the replacement price was reasonable. I dropped the tire and rim off and was told I would get a call shortly after to come in and pick it up.

Received the call within an hour, great news! I said I would come pick it up the following day. After arriving I was told it had not been done yet, and that they were very backed up. Why was I called if it wasn't completed? I was then told that it would be approximately three hours because they were so busy. After pressing further because I was lied to, I was put at the front of the queue. Twenty minutes later I was done and gone. I don't know why it was so complicated for the employees to acknowledge their mistake and rectify the situation promptly.

Would not recommend Fountain Tire to a friend.

The worst place to get a tire replaced sit here for 3 hours to get a tire repair DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE ALL DAY TO WAIT

Quick service and really friendly. If you have questions they will be answered. Also, if you need nitrogen for your tires, they have it for free and will squeeze you in anytime of the day.

UPDATE:

The owner has contacted me directly in a timely manner to discuss what happened. He then spoke with his team to figure out where the miscommunication occurred in hopes that this will not happen again.

Due to poor communication among staff here, I waited an extra THREE hours to get one tire changed. When asked if there was anything they could do for the inconvenience caused to me, I was offered a discount of $3.40 on my $220 tire. I will shop for tires elsewhere in the future.

Update: The owner/general manager and Service Writer responded promptly to my concerns. I am happy to say we had some constructive conversations about my concerns and took very good care of me to ensure I was please with the service and outcome. They have a slogan on the wall in the shop. 'Trust Fountain Tire'. I certainly have that trust in them after the exceptional customer support. Thanks!

Original Post- * Got a quote over the phone for 4 new tires at 1080.00 taxes and fees all in with alignment. Was happy with the price. They got the tires in quick. I arrived and handed over my keys and the staff member and was notified that the time would take about 2.5 hours. I had 2.5 hours to spare so I waited at the location. I then started to get a bad feeling. A customer called and complained that the mechanic forgot to tighten the shock bolts and the customer drive away with this issue and noticed some strange noises while driving. They needed to come back to get it fixed. Yikes. The mechanic responsible looked out of sorts that day, one staff member commented that he looked like he was crying. Poor guy didn't seem in any condition to be doing mechanic work. My tires and alignment took 4.5 hours as I waited in the shop waiting area which is 2 more hours than anticipated. The truck is not old, mechanically speaking should be an easy alignment. When I finally got to paying my invoice, the total was ~$100 more than what I was quoted on the phone. After asking why the additional cost there was no reasonable answer from the staff member. I had to pay the amount. I then went to make sure my winter tires and rims were in the truck box after paying. The tires were jammed into the box and the tailgate slammed shut so hard that the tires were preventing me from opening the tailgate latch. My tailgate latch mechanism is not working now from this irresponsible handing of my truck. From driving off the lot, the truck seemed to handle oddly/different than usual. I chalked this up to new tires and a new road feel. I believe this to be common when changing tires. A day after driving I heard a loud clunk from the front driver side. Since then my steering alignment and feel is way off, I feel really bouncy on the road over bumps and steering seems to be off. I am very concerned that something was done incorrectly in the wheel alignment, especially after seeing what other customer issues were. I'm certainly not going back to get another inspection done since I am concerned about how they will treat the vehicle the second time around.

Very concerned and hope that the location will step up and pay for a second alignment from another shop and repair my tailgate latch at another shop.

Appointments are usless here. They said it would take 45 minutes. Took them 2 hours in the end. All to change tires. Asked the guy at the counter after 1 hour, said they're almost done, then had to wait yet another hour. Appointment or not, it makes no difference. And you could tell me 3 hours as long as you're being honest, but why the dishonesty? I missed a training and a study session over this. Never again.

Been dealing with them for years. They've always treated us good and they've had to find some weird size tires for us and it was no problem. Also fast at coming to the farm to get us rolling again.
