We were last there in October. It I easy to locate and always handy parking available as we've never arrived at a busy time. There is choice of payment. It is a large building but also clear enough to easily search for items. Huge variety to pick from. Prices are moderate. Fine art supplies near the back that I had not noticed before. Good see tion of tea and celebration stuff and restaurant items as well as much floral and craft staples. So much! One star off as some stuff is old ie; paint. Recommend getting a membership that is required to shop here.

Wanted to support a local business, but l will never shop at any Gale’s stores again. Like everyone else has said: rude, unfriendly staff and actually kinda junky merchandise. Sadly, Michael’s is a much better experience with friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff.

The absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I have been here on several occasions and always hope for better service, but nothing improves. I cannot express how disgustingly rude the workers are. No wonder nothing sells in this place. A lesson for business owners: nepotism is never a good thing.

For the Gale's Wholesale staff, do not bother leaving any comments saying "we strive to provide the best customer service" because you don't, and never have. You're here for the money and that's all. Be better, do better.

The best I can describe it is by quoting another reviewer - "Inconsistent & bizarre policies, rude staff. " Please do not reply with a copy and pasted response of "we try. " because you haven't in all the time I have shopped here. An employee yelled at my friends while she was looking at paint brushes because "you can't just come here to buy a paintbrush. " Okay.so what are people allowed to shop for? At least they have okay stock.

I could easily spend more than I need to here. Anything you need for crafting they seem to have it, haven't gone through the whole place so I'd imagine there's a lot I haven't seen yet. Downside is. You need a membership to shop here, but if you know someone with one you can go in and shop with them

This was the absolute WORST shopping experience I have ever had in my entire life. If I could leave 0 stars I would. The staff doesn't seem to understand the concept of customer service whatsoever.
Gales Wholesale, please don't reply to this review saying 'we're so sorry you had a bad experience. ' There's dozens of negative reviews with people saying the exact same thing as me, and you apologize, and nothing ever changes. I have multiple friends who feel the same way. You're losing a lot of business because you just can't be bothered to be decent.

The two ladies at the front desk are INCREDIBLY rude and should not be working there. They couldn't find the info in there system from my card which is ridiculous because I've been going for years, so without even trying to figure it out they cut my card up in the blink of an eye. I was stunned.

They could have SO much more business if they just showed some human decency.

I'm very disappointed how I was treated. The original owner was so nice and he is very much missed. Especially after being replaced with the two ladies who run it now.

Go elsewhere if you can.

Great, intriguing selection, yes. Disrespectful, degrading treatment of long-time clients, also yes. Get your act together Gales! Not allowing the child of a long-term client to use the bathroom, is not even humane. Cutting up someone's Gales card because the name had rubbed off, is ridiculous. It almost seems like you don't want to sell all your ancient dusty inventory. In a city with *any* competition Gale's would have closed years ago.

I have something to say. I bought some clear bags at Gales Wholesale on Dewdney Ave. It was a little too small and all I asked was if I cud exchange for the next size and pay the difference. The answer was Nope no negotiation. WOW. They just lost 5 customers from the house where I'm at. So let's just shop on line.and not support local. I try to support lots of local business and this is how not how keep customers.

This store has thee most rudest staff you will ever come across. I have no idea how it stays open. I have shopped there for over 8 years and it is always a horrible experience. There is one woman named Thom who is absolutely lovely and helpful, but the women at the front till treat you incredibly rude, every time. Today they treated my husband so disrespectfully that I will never return. Find a different wholesale supplier if you can.

What is up with Gale's return/ exchange policy? They're not in compliance with the Saskatchewan Consumer Protection and Business Practices Act. I spent literally thousands of dollars at Gale's but had to stop after they refused an exchange/ refund for a faulty item. There are plenty of local retailers who take care of their businesses and customers. Gale's isn't one of them.

The rude treatment I have received the last four times I have shopped for supplies at Gales have forced me to leave a review. I did address this poor customer service on my last visit to Gales. The lady that was behind me in line when I was packing my car with my purchases commented that she has felt that they are unfriendly and rude. I also am friends with an owner of a store who has like myself has shopped there over the last 24 years and has had a similar experience to the last four times I have been at Gales. After looking at past reviews I see that I do not stand alone. Your responses to the reviews indicate that your words do not transfer to actions for future treatment to customers. I am 100 percent behind supporting local business but do to Gales customer service this is making this very difficult.

Great store, need a business to shop there. They have so much stuff, sometimes it's hard to find what you are looking for, but the staff are very helpful.

I've shopped here for over 13 yrs for two non-profits and my business. Today I was rudely stopped at the door and treated so poorly by the employee at the front - I will do all my shopping elsewhere or online. I cannot put up with the blatent disrespect towards thier customers any further.

I'm very disappointed in my visit today I've been shopping here for over 10 years. Today when I entered a very rude employee asked for my membership card, I told her I've never been asked before and how long that's been a policy. She was very rude in her answer of for a while. She then stated I needed to leave my purse behind (which is actually a diaper bag, with my baby in his stroller). I declined and left, and to be honest after that experience I won't be back. I'll be planning better and ordering everything I need off Amazon.

The new policy is awful, I’ve been going there for years to pick up supplies for school, art projects ect. When I went today I was rudely stopped and was asked if I was a member which confused me since before that was never a problem and they turned me away since I wasn’t qualified. I honestly liked this store but I guess my years of business means nothing to them. In other words even Bob Ross would call you a mistake.

I will no longer shop at Gales! I was met at entrance with sanitizer. I asked is that necessary? I quote (if you want to come in you have to) I said i don't agree (Well that's too bad) No concern for my allergies or sensitive skin. After 4 trigger fulls, hands dripping wet, i need to see your Gales card! I don't have it. I recognize you so i will let you in this time but, this will be the last without your card! As i was leaving i said to the friendly lady that i have never been so disrespected in my whole life! In the plus 5 years going there i have never been asked for a Gales card and i won't need one because this will be the last time they ever see me there again! This is not the first time being treated rudely by owners there! But i can guarantee it will be the last. I try to shop local but, in this case i will make an exception. I was recommended to stop by this place for some sewing thread, from a class mate of mine. I don't drive, so i jumped off the bus and walked almost four blocks to this store. Right when i entered, i seen a sign that says leave back packs in front. So i asked the front desk, where should i put my backpack. She gave me an ugly look, and i turned around to see another worker standing right in front of me. I told her I'm here to buy some thread, and she told me you're not open to the public! Then i told her i had to walk all the way here, then she told me i needed to leave. I honestly felt racially profiled. I have a lot of family and friends who are also Indigenous, and come here all the time. So when I told them what happened, they were shocked.

I was in Gale's wholesale today. I went to the cashier to pay for my items. My 3 old year son was holding a styrofoam candy cane he found in the store. I gave the styrofoam candy cane to the lady and said I wouldn't be purchasing it. She then told me I had to buy it because my son touch it. It was $2.65.
The money isn't going to break me, it's the fact I had to pay for something just because my son touch it. There was absolutely no damage done to the styrofoam candy cane.
Very miserable and unfriendly staff working the tills at Gale's. I won't be back. I'll spend my money else where.
The last time I was there that same woman told me I had to keep my purse in the vehicle if I wanted to come into the store.

I WOULD LIKE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT GALES! A WAREHOUSE WITH THE BEST SELECTION FROM WEDDING SUPPLIES TO MY CRAFTERS PAINTS. EVERYTHING UNDER ONE ROOF. THE STAFF ARE WELCOMING, VERY INFORMATIVE AND FRIENDLY!

Today was my first time visiting the store. I am a university student and I don’t have a car so I took a bus. Soon as I enter the store they told me to leave just because I had my purse And told me to put it into the car. Where I don’t have a car in this bad weather they told me to leave right away. I also had wait outside for an hour for a bus. I was very disappointed how they treated me today. I personally felt little racist today. Strong recommend not to go there.

I can’t imagine why this store stays open. Unorganized is an understatement & rude staff that sneer at you the minute you walk in. In a struggling economy to Insist we show our GST number to prove we have a business to shop there is mind blowing. I’ve been shopping there for years despite the fact that it gives me shivers every time I walk in the place, to never receive a smile from anyone that works there and the look of disgust on the faces of the miserable women at the front when they look you up and down and ask if “my employer” gave me a card to shop there makes me wanna scream. But they have a monopoly on the craft supplies & when you need something quick it’s been easy to bite the bullet & run down there. Amazon & some planning in advance will take care of the frustration, but it’s pretty sad when you want to shop local & the business does everything they can to deter you. Advice: fire every single person that works there, close for a week and completely gutted and re-organize the place and re-open with an updated look, nix the membership card and make stellar customer service top
Priority and your sales will triple.

I have shopped here for almost 20 years. Last time it was a negative experience this time I didn't even get past the front door. No more exchanges, leave your purse in the car. Provide us with proof your a business even after all these years? Honestly maybe other shoppers have wrecked it or maybe they can't find nice people to work here but sadly the store is no longer what it was and I won't ever go there again.

The employees are extremely friendly. They have a large selection of everything and anything. Prices are very reasonable too.

I’ve been to this store often. Always had a great selection and great service. Yesterday, was great selection, but the service was very, very disappointing. The lady at the till was outright ignorant. She should not be in a position to deal with the public. For this reason, I will not go back. I would not recommend Gales Wholesale anymore.

Great store and amazing selection! The service from the store owner who knows everything about his products is outstanding. He is extremely helpful and polite. Unfortunately, one lady that works there is very rude. Prevented me from going upstairs with the merchandise I was carrying in an impolite manner and in front of other customers, which caused an embarrassing situation.

This place is a gem:) hands down my favorite stop in Regina. They have everything you can think of or ever want. And if your lucky enough to chat with the owner he's one of the kindest people and knows just about everything and where to find it. This place is heaven
